Jealous Grandma

Aannie smiled warmly and ran to hug Grandpa Smith tightly.

"I'm home, Grandpa," mumble her, burying her face in Grandpa Smith's chest.

"My sweet and small child, welcome home," said Grandpa Smith, hugging Aannie's body no less tightly as if to let go of all his longing.

Seeing the two as if forgetting their surroundings, Grandma Smith scoffs loudly. She was always looking forward to the return of her beloved granddaughter, stood up, and put one arm on her waist. With a sullen look and pout mouth, Grandma began to mutter with a loud and dejected voice.

"Hahhh! You only have your old and cold Grandpa in your eyes. I am not visible at all, transparent. Haiss, when someone was a sweet little baby, who changed her diaper, who made her milk and food, who woke up at night and sang lullaby .. Hahh, even-"

"My grumpy and lovely Grandma, I'm home..." Aannie, who had often heard Grandma's long grievances, released her arms from Grandpa Smith and hugged Grandma Smith tightly.

Hearing the endearment, Grandma Smith couldn't help but smile sincerely and returned her granddaughter's hug as occasionally kissing her cheeks.

"Don't call me grumpy. It's your Grandpa nickname." grumbling Grandma Smith as she glared sharply at her husband.

"Huh! If you change the diaper, sing the lullaby, and provided drink and food, then I was the one, who fetch the new diaper, prepare a clean bottle and warm water and help you make the bed. If there were not me, you would not be able to do all that." argued Grandpa Smith back.

"I can do it myself without your help. When I go to Little Darling's room, you always follow me and tag along. I just let it go and let you trail behind me." bickered Grandma Smith back. She didn't want to lose in this argument.

The dispute between Grandma and Grandpa Smith happened every time their favorite grandchild came home. Papa and Mama Smith stood side by side and watched their family drama.

Aannie chuckled and looked around the garden. Seeing his daughter's behavior, Papa Smith said,

"Your brother, Aaron, will come tonight."

Aannie nodded her head then was momentarily stunned to hear Mama Smith's words.

"His friends will come too. I told them yesterday, and everyone said they were coming tonight. Ah, Gabby is coming too. And for the twins, they would be late, but they said they would take the time to come before your holiday ends." said Mama Smith with excitement and enthusiasm.

Aannie nodded her head again at her mother's information. Hearing her mother's words, Aannie immediately recalled someone's face, and her heart felt uneasy. Dull pain comes and attacks Aannie suddenly, realizing that tonight they will meet again after a long time.

Like her brother Aaron, Aannie is a person who doesn't like to socialize. She grew up seeing how astonishing and amazing his brother was and decided to enter the military after finishing high school. In there is her character formed, and she proves a success as the many soldiers' leader at the army headquarters.
