Chapter 3 – Jenny's love story

When Lavor managed to catch up to Jewel, he was already at his limits. He holds her arm very tightly making sure that the girl would never run away and leave him again.

Lavor feels as if there was something wrong with this thinking, but he never really think too deeply about it. He was already losing his consciousness.

"Help me." was the guy's last sentence before Jewel feel the man laining on her back and started to slide off slowly.

Before the person fully slides off, she immediately holds him up to support him.

Jewel decided to help the person.

Although Jewel has a bad personality, she still has some conscience. If she really leaves the person here and the person ends up dying, she could really not carry the heavy guilt.

So Jewel started to walk carrying the heavy man by supporting his shoulder.

Jewel was already tired from work and now she still needs to hold and bring the grown-up man to her home.

Her scared heart earlier was already gone and was instead replaced by annoyance.

So when she got home, she immediately let go of the person on her hold. The person directly falls on the floor with a bump sound.

It seems that the guy bumps on into something.

Her mother immediately get out of her room because of the sound and was shocked by the person on the floor.

"What happened? ....who?...."

But before her mother could finish asking, she cut her off by saying.

" As long as he's alive, everything was fine. " Jewel directly said what's on her mind without thinking. She then goes into the kitchen to drink some water, leaving the person near the door.

" Who's this?" Her mother asked her again since her questions were not answered earlier.

She wanted to follow Jewel in the kitchen but end up staring at the person on the floor near the door. She was thinking where did her beloved daughter picked up such a handsome guy.

" I don't really know him, I just found him on the roadside." Jewel answered from the kitchen.

"What!?" Her mother was really shocked by her answered. She then stares at Jewel inside the kitchen as if what she did was a big crime.

Jewel in the kitchen shivered, she felt as if someone was staring at her so she looked back but saw no one, she was the only person inside the kitchen. Jewel felt her hair stand on end (she was afraid ) so she decided to go out of the kitchen.

Then she caught her mother staring in the direction of the kitchen, as if she was thinking deeply, then she stares at Jewel. She looked at her as if she(Jewel) done something wrong.

Jewel looked at her mother staring at her, she directly found out what she's thinking.

" He asked for my help, I didn't hold up or kidnapped someone. What the heck are you thinking?

Hearing her say that, her mother immediately looked at her, shocked, she just realized that she got found out making weird thoughts for her daughter.

"Well, maybe, just maybe...." Her mother didn't finish what she's talking about because of Jewel giving her a weird look.

" Well, after all his handsome..."

"Are you even my mother? Who in their right mind would do that." Before her mother could finish talking, she already cut her off.

Right, who would do that? Kidnapping, man-napping? Whatever, you call it, anyway who would actually do that just because someone is handsome.

Right, she forgot. That's how they come to be.

Her mother was just about 39 years old, she's old but not that old. When she was 18 yrs old, she just got her first step in college. Living in the dormitory in school she finally leaves in her parents' grasp. Getting wild for the first time, they go to different bars with her newly found friends.

That's how Jenny(Jewel's mother) meets her first love.

Falling in Love at first sight, she got very excited that she did everything she could just to get the man even the word kidnapping got in her mind. Actually, she just did that with the encouragement of her friends.

She gets the guy very drunk, the drunk man doesn't know what's going on, he was so drunk that he didn't even know that she followed the 18-year-old girl to the Hotel. In there, she spread her wings, showing everything she has and that's how her older brother came to be. She, an 18 years old girl got pregnant by her first love who's already 30 years old at that time.

When her mother's parents( Jewel's grandparents) found out about it, they were so angry that they almost disowned her. But she was still their own child, so in the end, they still help her look after her child while she goes to school to finish college since the man in the so-called first love didn't even accept her and just left her.

Four years later, Jenny ( Jewel's mother) graduated college and already started working. Jun( Jewel's older brother) was already 4 years old at that time when the man and Jenny meet again in her workplace. The man was actually Jenny's boss. The two got closer in the workplace and since Jenny has a child with the man, the two decided to build a small family.

Jenny got pregnant again and this was how Jewel come to be.

It was only a year later after Jenny give birth to Jewel that she found out that the man, her supposed to be the love of her life was already married. Although the man only got married after Jenny and Jewel's father meet at the bar and it was only an arrange marriage, the man still lied and never told Jenny about the truth.

The man without love for his wife decided to build a family with Jewel's mother who he fell in love with later on for her caring attitude to him.

But it was already too late because when Jenny( Jewel's mother) found out that the man was already married, she felt that she was played at, she felt that the man was only just playing house with her. She got so hurt that she decided to leave the country.

With a son that's almost six years old and a one-year-old daughter, Jenny decided to leave from Country S to Country H, without even telling her own parents.

In a new country and a newfound home, Jenny decided to build her own family there alone.

And now it's already been 20 years since then, her 1-year-old daughter at that time was now already 21 yrs old who became so cold hearted and decided not to fall in love after knowing the truth about her father.

" You can just leave him there. Don't overwork yourself." Jewel decided to say this to relieve the awkward situation.

"I'm tired, I'm going to sleep now." Jewel added and really did go to her room.

"What about dinner?" Jenny asked her daughter before the person could close the door.

"I'm not hungry." Jewel answered and close the door.

Jewel change her clothes and straight off to bed. While staring at the ceiling before going to sleep, she felt an ominous feeling in her heart. She felt that the guy would bring trouble to her life.

While Jewel was feeling ominous in her heart, Jenny at this moment was looking at the man on the floor.

Jewel said to leave the person and really did leave the person on the floor. Maybe she was already so tired and want to sleep already?

In the end, her daughter was a person who has an innocent face with a cold heart.

As her mother who has a soft heart, decided to call the brother to help the guy in a room.

Who would really leave an unconscious person on their doorstep while they all sleep in their own room comfortably? Her daughter was really something.

What if the person is actually a thief, there's been a lot of handsome thief characters in the novel she's reading lately. It's better to just lock the person in a room not to let him steal anything.

In the end, the mother is also something. The brother doesn't know what to say.

Jewel doesn't care where the guy sleeps. What she really wanted to do now was to sleep and rest because she still has work tomorrow.

She already helps him and lets him sleep in her house, she doesn't care whether it was in a room or on the floor. She already helps the guy and that was the end.

Waking up the next day, Jewel found out that her mother let her brother put the guy in the spare room to sleep.

Jewel doesn't really mind, she just did her morning routine and got ready to go to work.

When she got out of her house and go to work, the guy was still sleeping.

Actually, it would even be better if the guy was already not in their house when she got home.
