14 Chapter 12

Chapter 12- Store Visit

The next day after all the storm of dramas has passed, Jewel goes to work with a clear and calm mind.

So the best solution to solve a problem is to accept the problem. In the end, Jewel just decided to accept the fate that Lavor was now going to stay at their house until he decided to leave.

Yeah, sad right, but that's how it's gonna be. The supposed to be 'one month stay' was changed to 'until he decided to leaves'. Well, Jewel was sad, but the readers are happy, so that's that.

And regarding the thing that Jewel and Blake talk about that night, well, let's leave that for the future.

When Jewel arrived at work, she was meet by one of her co-workers called Ritrun.

Ritrun is a nice guy, he's friendly and funny, and easy to get along with. He's also handsome, though not as handsome as that guy but his looks and body build could still make the girls at their workplace want him.

But Jewel thinks that there's something wrong with this guy's head.

"Hi, Jewel! How's your morning? Don't you think that it's very sunny today and the sky is so clear? So how about it? Don't you think it's a good day to start falling in love?" Ritrun said this full of energy. He's also giving a very sunny smile that could make other girls fall in love.

But....

It's a different story if we're talking about Jewel.

Jewel just looked at the guy and smile falsely. Thinking how weird the guy is.

Jewel was just about to pass by the guy when he holds Jewel's bag, stoping Jewel.

"Say, Jewel, I've always told you how much I love you but when will you accept my love." Ritrun suddenly asked this. He's still smiling beautifully that if it was any other girl being asked like that, they would say 'yes' immediately.

But Jewel just shakes her head and smiled, she then pulls the corner of her bag from Ritrun's hand and continued walking inside straight to her locker.

The thing that Jewel doesn't like about the guy was that he would always confess his love to Jewel whenever he sees her. It's like every second and every minute, the word 'love' would always be spoken out of his mouth. It's always 'I love you' here and 'I love you' there whenever they saw each other.

There are also times where the guy would corner her and would start talking about love, making Jewel even more annoyed.

The weird thing is that, although the guy would always say those love words to her but the next second, you could see him flirting with someone else.

This makes Jewel wonder, just how much the word 'love' worth in a guy's mouth.

"Hi Ritrun, how are you? You sure are getting handsome day by day, I can't help but fall in love with you more and more."

Jewel suddenly heard this flirt voice just somewhere on the door. She thinks that the girl has just arrived.

"Hi, Chen! Well, it can't be helped that love can make you more handsome." Ritrun answered and wink at Chen. Chen blushed at Ritruns' action, but Ritrun already looked in Jewel's direction who was so busy finding something in her locker.

Of course, love can make people beautiful and Ritrun thinks like that too. This makes him happy thinking about it.

Ritrun was so happy that even Jewel could tell that he was smiling without looking at him. No one knows if he was happy because of Chen's complement or something else.

Although Jewel was not facing them and was busy, she could still hear them.

Jewel just silently rolled her eyes at what she heard.

Chen noticed that Ritrun was looking somewhere else, she follow his eyesight and saw Jewel at the locker area. Squinting her eyes, she walks towards Jewel.

The girl that arrived was Chen. Like Jewel, she was also a cashier but for some reason, the girl's blood just seems to boil whenever she see Jewel.

"Hey Jewel, small as always?" Jewel suddenly heard a man's voice just around her back.

Jewel turned back to look at the man who just pops out of nowhere just behind her.

Jewel just rolled her eyes when she saw who was behind her.

"Raner." Jewel said with a bored voice and turn back to continue finding her ballpen on her locker again.

Raner was also one of Jewel's co-workers. He was very tall and handsome but has a naughty personality.

He's a bagger in the store so, unlike Ritrun who has a different position and in a different department, Jewel and Raner always saw each other at the counter area. And the guy always criticizes Jewel about her height. Raner who has an almost 6 ft height and Jewel who didn't even reach 5 ft, these two opposite people sure know how to mock each other.

[(🐯: Some countries had some grocery store who have baggers. Baggers are the people who bag the items of the customer after the cashier punch the items on the scanner.)]

"So when are going to grow up kid?" Raner started to make fun of Jewel again. He also raised his right hand wanting to reach Jewel's hair to mess it up like a kid but Jewel smacked his hand before it could even go near her hair.

"Well, I don't have any plan of becoming a bamboo-like someone else." Jewel said mockingly while looking at Raner.

But Raner just happened to have thicked face so he retorted.

"Well, a handsome bamboo right?" Raner said with a smile full of confidence. He even spread his arms and hands, showing how proud he is of himself.

But Jewel just rolled her eyes and give him a mocking smile.

Jewel just decided to get out of there, leaving the thicked-faced guy. She was thinking of already going inside the store.

But before Jewel could even reach the counter she was blocked by Chen.

"Hey, bitch." Chen called out to Jewel.

This was not the first time where Chen confronts Jewel.

Jewel really wanted to know what did she do to make the person hate her.

But since the girl doesn't like her, Jewel also doesn't like her. It's like 'you don't like me, then I don't like you too'.

Jewel was just thinking of going around Chen to just pass by when Chen suddenly pulled her hair.

'Not the hair please.' Jewel can't help thinking.

Since Jewel was shorter than Chen, she was now looking up at Chen while Chen was looking down on her.

"I'm talking to you bitch, where do you think you're going?" Chen said while looking down at her.

Jewel can't help feeling annoyed. Although no one was discriminating her height right now, but this position clearly says it all.

" Who are you calling a bitch? Cuz you see, as far as I know, you are the only bitch here." Jewel said while smiling mockingly at Chen.

Chen's blood immediately boils at what Jewel said and in her anger, she pushed Jewel.

Jewel who was so small and light was immediately pushed on the wall.

"You're the bitch here. Flirting with Ritrun then flirting with Raner, who do you think is the real bitch here. " Chen angrily told Jewel. She was just thinking of walking closer to Jewel when someone suddenly shout behind her.

" What the hell is wrong with you?" that person said behind Chen. The voice was from a man who just comes from inside the store.

But before Chen could look back to see who it was, the person already pushed her aside and passed by her.

"Jewel, what's wrong?" The man worriedly asked Jewel.

But Jewel right now was not listening, because at the moment, she was busy holding her left cheek that was hurting.

Earlier when Chen pushed her, she felt something scratches her left cheek. Jewel frowns and looks at her hand, there's indeed a bit stained of blood on her hand.

"What's wrong with your face?" The guy also finally noticed the wounds on Jewel's face.

"Johnny?" Jewel also finally noticed the person in front of her who just suddenly raised her chin to the side without care.

The man was indeed Johnny. He was just thinking of going out of the store when he happened to see how Jewel was pushed on the wall by Chen.

"Let's go and get it treated." Johnny said while looking at Jewel's face. The girl's beautiful and smooth face now has a straight scratch. Small dots of blood that are wanting to flow down are forming a straight line.

But Jewel didn't agree with Johnny's suggestion. Instead, she continued to walk inside without caring about the wound on her face.

When she was about to pass by Chen, she stopped and get closer to her.

"Alright, I'm the bitch then. But if I'm a bitch, then what should we call to a person who begs other people's love and affection." Jewel said this in a very low voice that only the two of them could hear.

Chen was very shocked at what Jewel said, she was just about to retort when Jewel already started walking farther inside the store.

But Johnny didn't follow Jewel immediately, he instead stopped where Chen was standing and said to her.

"I saw what happened earlier." Johnny suddenly said.

Chen was just thinking of explaining herself to Johnny but he didn't let her.

"I'm going to tell your team leader about what happened here. Then it will be the right time to explain yourself." Johnny said this and there's already nothing Chen could do because Johnny already started walking.

Chen was a bit afraid of Johnny, after all, she was just a cashier while Johnny was not just a nobody at their store. He was one of the team leaders at their store who was in charge of the non-foods and beverages.

Chen becomes even more annoyed at Jewel, to think that someone like Johnny would side with someone like Jewel.

He didn't continue to go where he was supposed to go but he rather walked in the direction that Jewel has gone to.

When Jewel arrived at the counter area, she meets Lillia who's having big eyes while looking at her.

"What happened to your face?" She can't help asking while still starring at Jewel's face.

"Don't mind it, it's just a small wound from a fight." Jewel calmly said. She doesn't care about the small wound on her face.

Jewel already saw the wound on her face when she passed by a mirror on the way here, and she thinks that the wound was small to start worrying about it.

Only, the wound was so attractive on her white face that doesn't have any scar.

Jewel said it like that but Lillia gives a different reaction instead.

" You fought with someone? With who?" Lillia was shocked at what Jewel said and ask.

But before Jewel could answer, someone, answer it in her stead.

"With Chen." Johnny said behind Jewel.

"Actually, you couldn't even call it a fight. But if it was indeed a fight, then it would be a one-sided fight where Jewel was pushed on the wall and she can't even fight back." Johnny said this while giving a disapproving looked at Lillia.

"Hey, hey, hey, what the heck are you looking at?" Lillia was displeased by the way Johnny was looking at her.

"What the! What do you mean one-sided? Of course, I was planning of fighting back if you didn't come." Jewel was also displeased at what Johnny said.

"It's just that, you as their team leader can't even teach your people well." Johnny started belittling Lillia but he just ignores Jewel.

Lillia's ear suddenly irked at what Johnny said.

That's right, Lillia was indeed the team leader/ senior cashier of the cashiers. And what Johnny says makes her so annoyed.

But Johnny was still not done yet.

" And to think that I let Jewel be in your care. What the hell are you teaching her, she doesn't even know how to protect herself. You are really not a good teacher, you don't care about her well-being at all."

Jewel was puzzled when she heard this. When did she become someone's student?

"Wait, wait! What do you mean about teaching someone? Who did you say was my teacher?" Hearing their conversation, Jewel suddenly wanted to jump-in in their conversation.

But the two didn't even listen to hear and just continue arguing with each other. They didn't even think about answering Jewel's question.

The two were still arguing when Jewel noticed that there's a commotion outside the store.

She frowns and becomes curious about what's going on when she saw May, also a cashier who was now standing at her side excitedly.

She now then noticed that there are more and more people in their area. Well, it was to be expected, after all their area was near the door. But what makes her curious was who might that person be to make a lot of people wanting to see him or her so much.

" Lavor! Lavor was here!"

This time, it was Jewel's ears that irked.

Who was it again?

Jewel wanted to ask the person beside her what's the name of the person again.

But before she could even ask, the person already answers her.

"LAVOR! IT'S LAVOR! AaAahhhHHhHH!!!!!!!!"

Jewel thinks that her eardrum was about to explode when she heard the peoples shout.

This time, she clearly hears the name of the person.

Then suddenly, Jewel saw May pointing at the door entrance. The looks on her face were like someone who wanted to shout but still wants to maintain her graceful looks.

But Jewel didn't comment on it and just look at the door instead.

There, she saw the face of the person who came into her life just to annoy her.

"Then it's decided, I'll be teaching her how to fight instead."

Jewel was looking at Lavor in the door when she suddenly heard Johnny said this sentence beside her.

The guy was actually still not done yet in their argument. No matter how much the people around him shout, he's still thinking about that.

Jewel didn't know whether to laugh or what about his competitiveness.

"He's looking this way, he's looking this way!"

Jewel was looking at Johnny when she suddenly heard the people around her say this as if they're about to go crazy.

So she decided to look at Lavor's direction again.

There she found out that Lavor was looking at their group or to be precise, he was looking in her direction.

When the two meet eye to eye, the people around her become crazy again. The guy actually stops walking and just looks at her.

"Ahhhh! He was looking at me!"

"Don't think too much, he was looking at me!"

"No, he's looking at me!" The people in front of her suddenly turned into a commotion.

"Oh, God! Do I look okay? I think he was looking at me!" The person on her side suddenly said this. It was May this time.

Jewel face palm when she heard her say this.

She really thinks the guy was really annoying and to think that he was this famous, makes her wonder what's so good about this guy.

She was just thinking of saying something to May when she heard Lillia say something first.

"What are you people talking about? Who do you think is the most beautiful person on this side? Of course, he's staring at my beauty." Lillia suddenly said this, that it even makes Jewel shut up.

Jewel just looks in Lavor direction again, and she found out that the guy was actually still there and was still looking at her.

This time he smiled, a proud smile, and wink at her.

The people around her turned crazy again.

She thinks that the guy was becoming more and more annoying.
