Chapter 12 : Unexpected

-Earlier-

The announcement starts to set off, "Third years hero course, Kat Veorl and Moe Hike is no longer in the ring. A third-year student from the management department Rei Ito is no longer in the ring. You have 20 minutes left." Mei run around the mountain valley, she heard the announcement. Three against four now. I wonder how is everyone else doing? Judging from the loud explosions, the blond spike hair boy must be the one who's straight ahead. If I go with him, I might be safe. For now.

Mei kept running straight to look for Bakugo or Hime. She can feel the ground shake again but it felt more like a wave. Mei pounces off the ground by a strong force. She groans as she gets up.

"Well, well, well! If it isn't the weirdo!" Rufus comes out of hiding. "I was hoping it was the freak but I guess you just have to do."

Mei lifts her fist blasters gloves. Rufus laughs historically at her.

"Are you seriously going to fight me?"

Mei looks at him with a serious look. She smiles and waves her hand, "Oh hey!" Rufus looks behind to see who it was. He didn't see anyone behind him. He turns to look back at Mei who's running away from him.

Oh shit! Oh shit! Oh shit! I knew I should have grab baby 213.

Rufus groans to himself, "To think I fall for the oldest think in the book." he made the ground wave under his feet.

Rufus Malaik

Quirk: Ground Waves.

He can shift the ground into waves with his feet or hand. Making his opponent having a hard time to stand. He can also use it for transportation.

Mei kept running, she's not prepared for this. She made the blasters in a last-minute thing. She's not so sure if it would work. She reaches to a small steep space between the space to hide. Rufus look around for her.

"Where are you, Pinky?"

Mei groans to herself as she drops down to sit.  "Great, now what!" She looks at her blasters. She gets her tools out to start making some readjustments to her work. Why am I doing this? I thought this would be fun, heh. I got too ahead of my self thinking I could win just by my babies.

"Garbage like them never stop! They think they're better because they see we look vulnerable when we hear thier hurtful words! You think it's going to get better once we ignore it? No! Words hurt! They know that, we know that! They won't respect us unless we show them that they don't have control over us. If you want to be a coward for the rest of your life. Then be my guest, go for it. I won't have people disrespect me just because I'm a mute"

"Your just gonna have to find someone else. If I were you kid. I quit right now. Working with her is impossible."

Hime look at Mei who look to be hurt by them. Hime looks at them in a disappointment state. "Never say impossible without the possible!"

"Hatsume!" Hime call out to her. Mei stop walking once her name is call out. "Let's be lab partners!"

"Heh, I mean. Who wouldn't. That's just how she is. You do know she's already in top few students who got agencies asking for her. I'm sure she's just like the rest of us. Maybe even worse."

Hime threw the trash bag at the boy. He look at her in surprise.

"What the hell is your problem?"

"Your my problem you..you..jerk!" Hime glare at him. "And for the record! Mei isn't like that! She's doing her best to get noticed by agencies! She's a talented young lady who can probably out top any of you hypocrites. Mei is an enthusiasm, energetic, happy person who enjoys inventing. She doesn't give up no matter how many times she make mistakes. She'll keep working at her invention till it works the way she wanted! If anything, is you scandalous who can't seem to notice her strength. Now get!" Hime threw the trash bag at them again. They ran away from her. Hime grunt at them as soon they walk off.

Mei stops herself. She slowly smiles. She places her tools away. She can still hear Rufus calling her. She came out of hiding from the small crack. She turn on her gloves to see them glow up. She look around to find Rufus. Mei have herself on high alert.

"Found you!" He whispered in her ear. Mei turn around on high alert. Rufus punch her right in the stomach. Mei groan from the hard hit. She kneel down holding her stomach. Rufus start to chuckle at her.

"Heh, not much a fighter are you."

"No," she groan. "More of a thinker!" She told him. She see her gloves were charged up. She touched his leg, static shock run through his body. He scream in pain as the static charge gloves zap him. Mei gets up and run. Rufus groan from the pain. He grunt underneath his breath. Mei runs away from rufus to only pump into Shinso. She scream a little as she saw him beat up a little.

Rufus used his quirk to move the ground again. Shinso and Mei can feel the ground moving again.

"Crap! Not this again!" The waves move Mei and Shinso up and down, away from thier safe zone.

"Where's that Hot headed angry face?" Shinso ask her.

"I don't know! I was trying to look for him till I bumped into that guy! And Hime?"

"She's a bit occupied right now." Shinso told her. "What's the plan?"

"I.. um.. got a stupid one but I'm counting on you." She yelled at him.

Rufus used more of his quirk to shake the ground. Mei was on top of the boulder, holding on to it. She yelled at Rufus for him to hear.

"Heeeeey!"

Rufus look up to see Mei.

"Come at me!" She climb down of the boulder to run. Rufus chase after to the small narrow areas. Mei can still hear Rufus coming after her. She was finally in a small opening. Mei look around for her get out. Rufus clap at her.

"Heh, points for being brave. But your stupid enough to face me alone."

Mei can feel her right glove charge in full power again. She swing at him but Rufus twist her arm where her gloves touch her back. Mei scream in pain. She drop down, already defeated.

The announcement buzz, "Mei Hatsume is off the ring. 19 minutes left."

Rufus kneel down at her, "Heh, to bad you don't have a quirk that makes you a hero. But hey, at least you can build one up for your weakass."

Mei look up at him, she grin at him.

"Heh, now!" She yelled. Rufus look confused. Shinso came out of hiding. He have the left glove on, full on charge. He place his hand on Rufus's chest. The electric charge zap Rufus enough for him to be unconscious.

"Rufus Malaik from third year hero course is out of the ring!"

Mei gets up holding her sore stomach. The bots took Rufus away to the nurse office. Shinso hands Mei the glove back.

"Here, thanks for these."

"How did you like my baby?" Mei smile grew.

"They were, useful. Too bad I can't used them for the fight."

Mei smile grew more. She hand him the other gloves. "I still want to do more test run on them. Can you do that for me, okay thanks bye!"

"Huh! Wait!"

Mei have already left the ring to head to the nurse office. Shinso look puzzled at the gloves not knowing what to do with them.

No announcement of Seifuku or Bakugo. Nor that other guy. I should help Seifuku.

He was going to help her but he remembered the look that Hime have. He sigh to himself. No, I should stick to the plan. Shinso ran off to the opposite direction.

Meanwhile, Hime dodge Mike's punches. He look frustrated for not hitting her. Her speed seem to have increased since she drank his blood. They heard the announcement of Rufus being out of the ring. I haven't heard Bakugo's explosion yet. Either he and Shinso are thinking of a plan to sneak up to this guy's teammate or they're fighting. Mike throw his punches extra fast to hit Hime. She used her stamina to move fast. Mike was already frustrated as is. He let his rage get the better of him. He charge her in surprise. He pick Hime up then smack her down to the ground. She groan loudly for feeling the hard hit.

Bullocks! I let him get the better of me.

Mike elbow slam her in the stomach. Hime gasp in pain. She grind her teeth to hold in the pain.

"Gaaaaah! I can't look!" Uraraka cover her eyes.

"Ribit! That third year is not giving Hime a chance to fight back."

"This is totally unfair!" Kirishima yelled. He look over at the two teachers who were watching this on screen. "Hey! Shouldn't you stop this!" The smile teacher look at him but ignore it. "Hey! Can't you see that's she's dying out there!"

Mike slams his fist on Hime. He look at her, thinking that he have already won. He left her there lying down. Mike walk away from her. He waited for the announcement but nothing. He look back at Hime who was getting up. She wobbled as she gets up. She lift up her fist to fight him. Mike grin at her with amusement.

"Is...is...that all you got!" She try to catch her breath. Mike walks up to her, hitting his fist together.

"You got balls of steals, I give you that." He punch her multiple times. Hime couldn't move her body to fight back. She can feel her entire body sore. But she knew she needs to have Mike focus of her for a while. Just enough for Bakugo and Shinso to save the fake civilian or fight James. Mike knock her down. Hime wobbled to get up. She lift up her fist slowly. Mike punch her again, he sent a hard one under her chin. Hime land hard on the ground. She slowly stood up, knowing her body is in pain. She lift up her fist at him, ready for his punch. Mike grin wickedly at her as if he found a new toy to break.

Bakugo was making his way through to find the fake civilian till he heard footsteps coming his way. He hid himself till he pounced on the person who happens to be Shinso.

"Hah! Got you!"

"Idiot! I'm on your team."

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING AN IDIOT, WIERD HAIR!"

"OBVIOUSLY YOU! AND GET OFF OF ME!" Shinso push Bakugo off. He look around to see if Hime was with him.

"Where the hell is long ears at?"

"Still fighting that Mike guy." Shinso gets up to dust himself off.

"Hmp," Bakugo walk away from him to head towards James.

"Hey! Shouldn't we go help Seifuku?"

"Why the hell should we? She can handle him. We don't have much time to help her sorry ass."

"Then shouldn't we discuss a plan at least."

"Simple, I kick this guys ass and you stay the hell out of my way!"

"That's not a plan! That's just heading into action."

"Go see if anyone else care. I can kick this dam extra's ass by myself."

Shinso look at Bakugo with frustration. He couldn't see how can someone like him get into hero course at all. He have two choices, going back to help Hime or to help Bakugo. He can see Bakugo far away from him. Shinso wanted to go help her.

"I don't see why you two are angry?" She look at them confused. "Are you really going to let them talk thier mess about you?"

Dam it! Why am I thinking about it now? Why am I... Shinso ball his fist together. He start to run towards Bakugo to help him. Bakugo look at the corner of his eyes to see Shinso following him. The both of them can see  James guarding the fake civilian.

"I honestly think we need a plan." Shinso told him.

"Tch, He dosen't look tough. Sit back and watch how a real hero handle this." Bakugo went to face off James.

"Wait!" Shinso try to stop him but Bakugo was already in front of him. He grin wickedly at James, happy to find someone to fight him. James notice him right away. He look around to find Bakugo's other teammate.

"Heh, if it isn't the second year."

"Heh," Bakugo show off his quirk. He used his quirk to fly towards James. He held out his hand towards him to throw off his explosions. "DIE!" A loud boom echo the ring. Bakugo grin proudly but his smile soon faded as he see James still standing, unscratched. "The hell."

"Heh."

James Coll.

Quirk: Counter Absorb.

His quirk allows him to absorb any hits from his Opponents. Once he takes a physical hit, his attacks are ten times harder then his opponents. His counterattacks are released in a strong energy through out his body.

James place a hand on Bakugo's chest. A strong shockwave send Bakugo flying. He can feel his body sore from that attack. The fucken hell is that! Bakugo land hard on his back. Shinso widen his eyes to see Bakugo flying. He gets up, ignoring the pain.

"Shit, that baster took me by surprise." He groan.

"I told you we need a plan! We have no idea what their quirks are."

"Yeah, Yeah, Yeah! Get your ass out here and do something weird hair."

"My names not weird hair! It's Hitoshi Shinso!"

Shinso stand next to Bakugo, he knows they already know about him. Now, he just wonder if James we'll be able to talk to him. He look at Bakugo and Shinso with a big grin.

Mike keeps beating Hime down to the ground. But she keeps getting back up. She look worn out by the hard hits. Mike look at her in surprise. Every punch that he throws at her, she kept getting back up.

"Stay down already!" He told her. He punch her in her face. Hime got on her knees but she got up. Her body is sore of Mike's punches. She can feel her cheeks swelled up too. She look at him with her fist up.

"Dam it! Why aren't you fighting back!" He hit her. "Where is that strength that I saw earlier!" He throw his punches at her. "Where is that fighting spirit that I saw earlier!" He throw his punches at her. Hime drop down. She can feel her body sore. She knew she needs to get up. She have to get up. Winning isn't her goal right now. She just wanted to prove to them that they're wrong. Hime wanted to move, she look over at the teachers who were ready to call out her name. But she can hear explosives not so far from her.

Bakugo!... Shinso!

Hime ball up her fist. No, I'm not quieting! If they're still fighting then so should I! I need to get up! Hime pull her body to get up. She can feel her bones hurting her. Her muscles aching. She wobbled as she gets up. Mike look at her in surprise. He have punch her without showing her mercy and she was still willing to get up. She didn't bother using her quirk anymore on him. Hime look at him with her glare golden eyes. She wanted to stay down but she couldn't. Her teammates needed her and she needed them. Mike was going to send another punch at her. Hime move her face down where his hand hit her head. A metal clank sound echo loud enough for him to hear. He made a stern face but soon start to yelled.

"Fuuuuuuck! My hand!" Mike groans as he held his hand, as it was throbbing from his fist to his wrist as his mind begin to wonder; what the hell was that! That couldn't be possible!Hime can feel the blood spill around her head. She wickedly grin as she licks off her blood. Mike still groans as he held his hand as he felt a sudden chill go up his spine, shit!Hime charge at him, throwing her hard kicks at him. He tries to block them as best as he could but wasn't quick enough to block them.Hime keeps licking the blood off of the blood spill. She twirl kick Mike right on his face. Which sent him flying across the ground as he landed hard, "Ungh!" He groans as he slams his fist to the ground.Hime stand above him. She look down on him with her golden eyes. Her stare look more of a demonic grin. She can see Mike stare at her. Mike shivered a bit at her grin, shit! Things really got heated fast as he tries to throw a swing at her.Hime dodge his fist. She can see his movement now. She backflip kick him under his chin. He grunts as he staggered back from her as he fell to his knees, clinching his face.Hime grin to herself. She have him where she want him. She hold Mike's face and wham her forehead right to his nose. He start to yell in pain. He can feel his nose crack and bleeding.He grunts as he held his nose, god it hurts as he tries to take another swing at Hime.Hime dodge his hits. She swing her fist as hard as she can right to his possible broken nose. Mike cried out in pain as he fell to his knees, holding his face as he held his nose.

Hime look at him with her demonic grin, "Want to forfeit now? Because I can keep on going."

Mike groans but he doesn't want to give up as he grunts and charges right at her, as he threw a swing at her back and forth.Hime dodge his punches. She grab his arm and swing her body to his back. She warp herself and choke hold him.

"Gakk!!" He struggles to pull her off of him.

"Give up!" She told him.

"N-No!" He grunts as he struggles to breathe.

Hime hold on to him tight, "GIVE UP!"

Mike continues to struggle as he begins to slam her against boulders and rocks as well trying to throw her off.

Hime groan from the hard hits but she hold on tight.

"I said give up!" She tighten her grip.

Mike's grunts as he fell to his knees and continues to struggle, his breathing becoming pitch as he slams his fist to the ground.

"Give up!"

Mike groans as he had no other choice but to nod his head as he tries to breathe. Hime let's go of him. She fell on her back, catching her breath. She hold up her arms with a big smile. Mike fell forward as he begins to breathe again and catch up on air as he lay flat on his stomach.Hime gets up with her arms still up. The teachers set up an announcement, "Mike Coll from third year hero course is off the ring." Hime grin at herself proudly. She wobble to head towards Bakugo and Shinso but her body gave up already. She land flat on her stomach. The punches, the hard hits from the boulders. It was enough to take her down. Heh, it's up to you too now. Hime close her eyes to rest. Mike groans as he still laid flat on his stomach, damn, and here he thought this was going to be his win. Damn.

"Hime Seifuku from second year hero course is off the ring. You have 10 minutes remaining."

"Well..this sucks..." Mike mumbles as he tries to get up to his feet.

James look shock to hear the announcement about Mike. Knowing him, he would never give up on a fight. But if his opponent is that strong then he should be carful with these brats as well. Only 10 minutes left, that should give me enough time to keep them away from the fake civilian. Bakugo look over at Shinso with a grunt.

"Understand the plan, wired hair?"

"Tch, It's not wired you asshole." Shinso groan at him. Bakugo set his explosive off to send him flying. He held out his hand at James.

"GO DIE!"

"You don't learn do you!" James was ready for his attack. His eyes focus of Bakugo but he didn't pay attention to Shinso. He look shock to see Shinso right in front of him. He place his glove hand right on James chest. The gloves sent a static shock right at James. He yelled in pain as the static runs to his body. Bakugo sent James flying with a small explosive. James groan, looking at Bakugo and Shinso. He grin widely enough to show that he's not down yet. He release a strong energy on his legs like a rocket. He release another energy to knock both of them out. Bakugo and Shinso were sent flying.

"Shit!" Shinso groan as he gets up

"Fuck!" Bakugo gets up angerly. He can already feel his vien popping out. He set his explosive off again. He run up to James and fight him off with his explosive. Bakugo set his explosive off. James let out his energy to deflect Bakugo's explosive. With both quirks collide, they managed to destroy the rock pillers around them.

"5!" The teachers start to count down. Bakugo and James charged ea h other.

"4!"

The two of them used thier quirks to punch each other.

"3!"

There was no end of thier punches.

"2...1.!" The alarm went off. James hold off, same with Bakugo. They give each other cold glares. Bakugo set a smirk on his face. James look confused as he look at him.

"Heroes are the winners!" The happy teacher roar. James look confused till he remember Shinso. He look around for him to only see him standing in the open with his scarf wrapped around the fake civilian.

Shinso and Bakugo went to check in the nurses office on Mei, Hime, and Rei. Even James was walking along with them. They see Mei making suggestions of hero support items for them. .

"Oh, hey guys!" Mei smile at them. She walk up to Shinso with sparkle in her eyes. "Well?! Did my babies do great!"

"Yeah, they came useful."

"Great!" Mei smiles happily.

Bakugo look around to look for Hime, "Where the fuck is long ears at?"

"Siefuku is resting right now." Recovery Girl told them. She glare at Mike and lightly whack him with her cane. "COLL, YOU WENT OVERBOARD THIS TIME!"

Mike lower his eyes down. Then his classmates also scold him.

"Yeah Mike. She's a girl! You could at least went easy on her!" Kat frown at him.

"Yeah buddy, you went a little over board on this one." Moe agreed.

"How bad?" Shinso ask Recovery Girl. She sigh and whack Mike a little, knowing he won't feel it.

"Her bones seem to be broken in several places. Her metal plate is dent and now it won't stop bleeding."

Metal plate? Shinso look at Mike then back at Recovery Girl.

"I'm sure she won't wake up till to.."

Recovery Girl widen her eyes as she heard the currents open. Hime look around to see everyone in one room. Her head is wrap in a bandage. Her upper body is also wrapped along with her arms. They can see small amount blood stain on her head bandages.

"Hey guys!" Hime try to smile but she stop herself.

"W...wh...WHAT!" Recovery Girl look shock. She was sure Hime wasn't going to get up so soon. Hime walk around as if nothing had happened. Even Mike look a little shock. He knew Recovery Girl can heal people but even her quirk have limits.

"What are you doing up?" Recovery Girl still have her mouth drop.

"Um.... to walk around?" Hime look confused.

"Don't give me that tone, young lady!" Recovery Girl is trying to figure out. She haven't used her quirk on Hime because she knew that her stamina is already used up by drinking blood.

"Um,..can we go?" Hime ask her confused.

"Eh!.." She look at the students around who also look confused. "Right, right, go on ahead if your all feeling better."

"Oh! What happened to Ito-senpi anyway?" Hime ask Mei.

"Hmm, Oh! He wasn't that hurt much. He said he have some things to do."

"Oh."

"You can look for the beauty king in room 450 in the Management Department." Kat told them. "Anyways, bye."

"Oh! Thank you bye!" Hime wave. "Huh, I was not expecting her to be nice."

"Hey, Bakugo!" Jason smile. "Let's have another fight next time!"

"Tch! You just got lucky that I didn't mess you up!"

"Oh! Is that a challenge!" Jason grin.

"Grrrr! I'm still not satisfied!" Rufus groan. He glare at Hime. He lift up his fist at her. "Come on! I still owe you a cheap shot!

"...No thank you, goodbye!" Hime walk away.

"Hey! Don't leave! Come and fight me!" Rufus was ready to punch Hime but Mike push him away that sent him off flying. Hime look at him with her big round golden eyes. Mike narrowed his eyes at her. Hime look at him with a bit of a concern worried look.

Please don't tell me he wants to fight me again?

Mike hold up a handful of flowers that he just pick out.

"Eh? Oh! Um... thank you?"

Mike turn away from her and blush. Hime accept the flower. She look confused by this action. The third years left as soon they drop them off in 2-A dorms. They can still hear Rufus complaining about wanting a second fight.

"I'm exhausted!" Hime complain.

"I'm hungry! What are you going to make dinner?" Mei grin at her.

"She's not your fucken maid strange eyes!"

"Language, Bakugo. And,.hmm...spicy seafood curry."

"Make it is sweet please!"

"She's not your fucken maid!"

"Ah, can you add shrimp with that?" Shinso ask her.

"Okay, sure." Hime try to hold back her smile.

"I .just said she's not your fucken maid."

As soon she open up the door. Everyone pop small indoor fireworks at them. Hime almost squeal in surprise.

"Congratulations on your big win!"

"Eh?" Hime wide her eyes.

"Gaaah! Me-me! Your all bandages up!" Midorya look at her in shock.

"Oh, Eheheh. Um yeah."

Adam went flying towards her, pouncing her in surprise. He pin her down, snuggled up to her cheeks.

"Gaaaah! Adam!" Midorya still sound worry.

"Ow! Ow! Adam! Wait! Wait!" She push him off. "I'm fine! Really!" Hime gets up again to show him that she is. "See."

"Bark!" Fenrir rush towards Hime and pounce on her.

"No! No! Fenrir!" Hime yelled at him. But it was too late. Fenrir pounce on her. He start to lick her cheeks. He wag his tail happily to see her.

"Okay, Okay!" Hime pet him, she try to pull him away but he won't budge. After a long day, everyone ate and talk. They celebrate their little win. It felt strange for Hime. It's not the first celebration she have done this. When she got in to U.A. Everyone came to celebrate. It remind her of home a little. Huh, I wonder how Sora and Shu-Shu are doing? I hope Andrea is not picky on Tomura again. The small party went on but didn't last too long either. After everyone clean up and went to bed. Hime was the only one who was left downstairs. She double check the doors and windows to be lock. She went straight to the kitchen. She look around to see if anyone was coming down. She grab a knife from the dresser. She place the knife on her hand to slide down the blade. She can feel the sting in her hand. The warm blood drip down from her hand.

"Hime!"

Hime right away hid her hand behind her back. She look up to Asui who look half asleep.

"Asui!" Hime look surprise. "What are you doing up?"

"I told you to call me Sui.Ribbit." She yawns a little. "What are you doing?"

"N-nothing." Hime move out of the way. Asui walk towards the kitchen to grab a cup of water. She look at Hime who look a bit nervous.

"Are you sure, your okay?"

"Um, Yeah. I'm just cleaning a bit more in here. Like to keep things organized!" Hime lied.

"Okay. Ribit. Night. Don't stay up too late," Asui walk away.

"Right. Night. Till the morrow then." Hime watched her walk up the stairs. She took out her hand that she cut to see that her bloody hand is healed.
