As I handed over the vaccine made by the engineer to the researchers their eyes widened in shock.

They quickly started reviewing the vaccine, and to everyone's surprise, it really works.

The engineer created something that nobody could create in the shortest time and without help, surely he was the favorite of his teachers.

After coming out of the shock, the researchers asked me where I got the vaccine from.

I told them that a man in the camp store had created the vaccine.

They obviously didn't believe me, they even sent someone to check.

When that person came back he said that I had told the truth, that there was a man in the store with all kinds of books around him and that he had several tubes just like the previous one.

The researchers were shocked again, but this time they didn't ask and started replicating the vaccine.

"Hey, do you remember the girl you were investigating?, she is the daughter of the creator of the vaccine, so I recommend that you keep her alive" I said with a threatening tone.

"Y-yes ma'am" said the researchers a little scared.

"Well, it's good that we understand each other" I said to then leave.

I had to report the situation to the president and do several other things.

The president was delighted and he wanted to meet the creator of the vaccine, but I told him it was impossible, the creator was now working on the cure.

The president understood it, and sent all possible help to the engineer's investigation, in order to speed up the cure.

When a vaccine was made public, people were filled with hope and there was finally a good day after such a long time.

He really did it, he created a vaccine and he brought hope to what is left of this country, he really is a genius.

After taking the little owl I went into the research tent to never go out again.

I have it as a reminder and at the same time a torment that I must resolve at any cost.

During the first weeks I studied each book in the store and on the internet, each day it was a new book sometimes on the same topic, but by another writer.

My laziness and insecurity never showed up, it was just me using all my ability to solve a problem.

I read every book related to medicine, and then read every book related to botany.

I didn't sleep, the only time I did was when I passed out the second week.

They sent me food and drink, which I appreciate otherwise I probably would have had to leave.

I tried every compound, every element, every method, every interpretation, every combination, I tried absolutely everything.

I only rested when I passed out and nothing else.

I read everything I could read, to the point where I could make my own predictions concrete and precise.

All the information contained appeared whenever I needed it in my mind, I was totally free from any ties.

I was not afraid of failing my investigations, I was afraid of failing Halley and so I never doubted what I was doing.

And two months after attempts, failures, discoveries and research, I managed to create a vaccine.

But this is just to keep Halley completely safe from anyone.

I know what those bastards think, I know they want to kill her or experiment with her and the only thing stopping them is the sergeant.

She helped me to survive and she trust in me so I can only return the favor.

That's why I created the vaccine, to deter the idiots and get them away from Halley.

This is only the first step, creating a cure will be much more difficult, but at least now she is safe.

After 2 months the sergeant came in, probably to tell me they want to get rid of Halley.

I only gave her the vaccine to dissuade them and to stop bothering me.

Immediately afterwards I continued my research on the cure.

Shortly afterwards I received messages with the progress of all the other researchers, in addition to the occasional researcher to help me with my work.

This will only help me to cure her faster, that's the only thing that matters.

I kept my investigations, I kept trying everything, I kept learning from everything, I kept failing everything.

I don't know how long my body will hold, but I don't have time to die now.

I have to save Halley, I have to keep my promise, even if I have to reach my human limit, I'm not going to stop until I find the cure.

No researcher claimed me for my welfare, they only care what I do for humanity.

And so I continued for 4 more months, until the fifth, in which I got stuck in the final stretch.

I didn't do daily reports, so the researchers lost interest in me and focused on other breakthroughs.

But it's better this way, I hate it when those hypocrites look at me.

I just kept trying to the point where there was little left to try.
