How I fell in love with the school Ice Queen (GL)

Sandy is your average friendly high school student. She is energetic and loves messing around with her friends and classmates. Although she can be a bit scatter-brained at times she always means well. Jaki on the other hand is the polar opposite. She is dubbed the Ice Queen at school and is known for being cold and unapproachable. This is a love story about how these seemingly opposite people fell in love with each other!

"What do you think of this?"

Jaki shows me a picture on her laptop of a traditional log cabin right next to the lake.

"No way, no way!"

"It looks nice but its definitely haunted! It looks exactly like the ones you see in horror movies."

"Haha. Okay okay. Fair point, it does look a little bit creepy and isolated."

"Though don't you think that would make it more exciting?"

"Whose going to protect me from the ghost or crazed serial killer in the woods?"

"Hmm."

Jaki puts her hand under her chin looking like she is deep in thought for what is a rather silly question.

"We can bring your past exam papers. I'm sure even ghosts would be scared of your past exam results."

"Hey!"

I gently jab my fingers into the side of Jaki in retaliation.

"Sorry! I just couldn't help it."

I try to come up with a come back while Jaki is busy giggling.

"Actually I have a better idea. We can sacrifice you to satisfy the super naturals."

"Oh noooo, how could you."

Jaki pretends to be shocked at my proposal.

"But who will help you with revision if I am sacrificed?"

"Hmmm good point."

"In that case I'm sorry but Skylar's gonna have to be the sacrifice then, just process of elimination."

Jaki laughs after hearing my response.

"You're cold. Maybe they should call you the ice queen instead."

"Haha, how the table turns."

Jaki goes back to going through her files on her laptop after we crossed the cabin by the lakes off the list.

"What do you think about this area?"

Jaki shows me some pictures of one of the nearby national park. And I gotta say I like them quite a bit.

"Oooh it looks nice do you have any more pictures?"

"Yep I got a bunch."

Jaki proceeds to show me more pictures. This national park seems to have a little bit of everything. There's a grove in it which is nice. It still has a lot of trees and feels wild but not so much trees like a forest where its overwhelming and a little bit scary.

Next to the groove is a grassland. Its flat and wide and from the pictures it looks like a really nice and peaceful place.

On top of that there is also a little hill that is situated at this place. Its not very tall but its just tall enough for a good view of everything.

"I definitely like this place, I feel like it has a little bit of everything and at the same time nothing is too overwhelming."

"Right? I figured you might like this place as well."

"But that's not all. You need to check this out!"

Jaki flips to the next page and gosh darn she was right. It was a picture of the night sky at the place and it was mesmerizing. You can see everything in the sky. All the stars and constellation. The moon as bright as ever. Even the milky way is visible.

That is a view that you will never see in the city and suburbs.

"Wow."

"Yep, beautiful isn't it."

"We definitely need to go there!"

"Sounds like we now have a destination."

Sorry for not updating the past few days! Uni has been getting busier. But I'll still try to write and update as much as I can!
