Sleeping in

Mmmm.

I open my eyes and stare at the familiar white celling.

What time is it.

I grab my phone from the bed side table.

I was surprised to see that it was already 10 am. I can't believe I slept in again.

What is up with me lately.

Though that being said it does feel nice to sleep in and its a Sunday morning so its not that big of a deal.

Speaking of sleeping in I bet Sandy is probably still sleeping right now, knowing her.

I know that she definitely isn't a morning person judging by how she looks every time we meet up in the morning for school.

Though its cute how she insists that she is definitely awake and is used to waking up early.

Her hair is also so poofy in the morning.

It looks like a birds nest sometimes but not in a bad way. I think its actually quite cute.

Sometimes I have an unexplainable urge to pet it though so far I have managed to resist the urge. Though I'm not sure I can resist for much longer.

Anyway its time to get out of bed.

I follow my usual morning routine. Making sure I have cleaned my teeth, brushed my hair, and washed my face.

For breakfast I decided to have something simple, cereal with milk. Its nothing fancy like Sandys delicious home cooked meals but it does the job.

While eating I think back to yesterday.

I was so close to winning the last Mario Kart game. I even had the perfect plan and executed it perfectly as well.

But sometimes life just isn't fair and will throw a blue shell at you.

Oh well at least I made sure Sandy didn't win either haha.

It was pretty childish of me but hey at least it worked.

Though it came at a great cost. Losing to toad, that little mushroom bastard.

The more I think about the game from yesterday the more I want to play more of it. Another rematch to see who will come out on top.

Though I wonder maybe its not the game that I am eager to play. Maybe I enjoyed everything so much because I played it with Sandy.

She was really nice. She went through the tutorial to teach me how to play. Never rushing me when I was still figuring out the controls. Patiently teaching me all the mechanics of the game.

Then when we started racing properly she also treated me like a proper opponent, not holding back and going easy on me.

It made for a really fun and competitive experience.

I mean we went all the way from Mario Kart to a tickle fight. That is definitely a unique expereince.

Then I suddenly remembered the outcome of our little tickling match from yesterday

I blush at the thought of it, my head and thoughts suddenly a scramble. I fear that if I think any more about it I might lose the ability to function.

So I quickly force my mind to skip over it.

Though what happened after wasn't much better. I can't believe mum showed all those baby pictures of me to Sandy.

That was unbelievably embarrassing.

But I am glad that mum was able to meet Sandy. To be honest I didn't actually expect her to make it back home in time yesterday.

It definitely was a pleasant surprise when she did come home though.

I finish my cereal and wash my bowl before putting it on the drying rack.

Its time to get to some studying.

I bet Sandy is probably just waking up right now.

Once again without meaning to my mind drifted to thinking about Sandy.

For the first time in a very long time I am looking forward to going to school tomorrow.

I wonder why?
