35 Exams over!

"Alright everyone you have 5 minutes left."

The teacher in charge of monitoring the exam announced how much time we had left.

Normally this wouldn't elicit much of a reaction. However right now I can see how excited everyone is.

People fidgeting around with their pens, people doing fist pumps everywhere.

The reason for this is simple. This is the last exam left. In 5 minutes time we will become free and be liberated from the weeks of exams.

As the teacher is collecting the papers I feel a huge sense of relief. Finally its over. All the studying, all that is done. I can finally relax now.

With the holiday coming as well it means I can sleep in everyday. Ah I can already imagine the sweet joy of not having to be woken up by an alarm every morning.

And even more than that, at the back of my head I know that with the exams being over I'll get more chances to hang out with Jaki.

Now she won't be as busy as she was during the exam season. And especially with her living so close to me I'm sure that we will get plenty of chances to hang out with each other during the holidays.

Hehehe. This upcoming holiday is sure gonna be great.

"Um why are you just giggling by yourself Sandy."

My train of thought was interrupted by Skylar who is now standing in front of my desk.

"I know you like to daydream but I never thought I'll just find you giggling with a blank expression on your face. Must be a nice daydream."

"Ah you know its just that the exams are finally over now!"

"True, true"

Skylar acknowledges what I just said while nodding.

Jaki after packing up her bag had also joined us next to my desk.

"Say Skylar why don't you look more excited, I mean you were the one who was most excited for the holidays right?"

"Uh. I want to! But unfortunately exams aren't the only thing I'm worried about. My driving test is this week and I think its finally getting to me. I know I should be fine since I drove so much with my parents in preparation and had all the lessons."

"But I just don't know..."

"Mmm. I understand."

I pat Skylar on the shoulder to reassure her.

"Look I know how much work you've put in and at this point worrying won't do much good either."

"True, but my brain just doesn't listen."

"Hmm then it might be good to just distract yourself you know? Do something fun or relaxing so you don't spend all your energy worrying about your drivers test."

At this point Jaki also chimes in the conversation.

"Yeah I think Sandy is right. Plus I'm sure you'll do fine in the driving test."

"Awww thanks guys!"

Skylar comes over and pulls us into a hug. We each gently pat Skylar on the pat to further reassure her.

"Hey Skylar what do you say about vising that Café that we went to last time again. Now that exams are over we have way more free time."

Skylar eyes lit up at Jaki suggestion and honestly I was pretty excited at the idea as well. I have been dying to go out to some place that isn't this school. After all during exam season the only traveling I have done is between school and home.

I chime in and say:

"Ooo that sounds good."

"Then lets go what are y'all waiting for!"

Skylar grabs both of us and pulls us outside the classroom. Clearly eager to go and not wanting to spend anymore time at school.

Its good to see Skylar back to being her usual energetic self.
