Catwalk

I stand outside the door. I quickly do a double check on my phone camera to make sure I looked alright.

Okay my hair is still looking good. Nothing weird on my face. I should be good.

I press the doorbell. Eagerly awaiting for the person that will show up on the other side.

I wonder what outfit Jaki will be wearing. This is the first time that I am going to see her in a proper casual outfit, my heart pumps faster at this thought.

The door opens. Jaki walks out with a smile on her face welcoming me in.

I swear I was about to melt right then and there. Jaki was wearing an all black outfit. Its normally something that I would avoid because it really puts a lot of focus on your silhouette.

I feel like an all black outfit on me would only make me look shorter and put attention to my short limbs.

But Jaki has the perfect body for it, with her super model proportions. On her it looks just right. Like the outfit was created for her.

She was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans that really shows off and emphasises her long slender legs. And her top is a simple black blouse.

On Jaki the blouse just looks so flowy and effortlessly cool. The blouse also has a V-neck cut. Which meant that I could see Jaki's collar bones.

To top it all off Jaki was also wearing those glasses that I saw her wear on the video call. This mixture of cool and cute makes my heart go crazy.

I think I might faint if I keep looking. After my initial glance at Jaki I quickly avert my eyes.

As we are walking inside the house towards the living room, I can feel some tension between us. Its not exactly the awkward kind of of tension either. Just tension.

We were both walking while looking straight ahead, avoiding eye contact. Maybe its just me but it feels like Jaki is feeling a little bit nervous as well.

"Your hair. It looks good."

Jaki breaks the silence with a compliment.

"Your outfit too."

"T-thank you!"

"I also like your um hair tie. The watermelon looks cute."

I was surprised that Jaki even noticed it, since its a tiny thing that most people gloss over.

I feel really happy hearing her compliment about it.

"Yeah, its one of my favourite hair ties."

"You look good too! I feel like you can be on a cat walk with this outfit."

"Haha, thanks. Maybe we can both be on it. You free after this study session? If we book a ticket to France now we might make it in time for Paris fashion week."

"Hahaha sure, if you don't mind helping me revise for math on the plane."

We both giggle at our exchange, this helped me feel more relaxed. No matter what, at the end of the day Jaki is Jaki.

A good friend that I have grown to know more about and want to learn even more about.

There is no need to feel tense.

We sit down at the dinning table. It seems like Jaki has already started studying before I arrived here.

There were textbooks and worksheets everywhere on the table.

I crack my knuckles and take out the practise math exam paper that I have been working on.

Alright time to do some studying!
