"You can't expect us to accept that, right?! Demoting him to a lesser god? He is Ares! He has been God of War since our Pantheon was established!"

Zeus shouted at the four Satans. He knows that his son is fucked up badly, but he does not want him to be demoted to a lesser god. God has three ranks. Chief/High ranking God, Middle Tier God, and lastly, a Lesser God.

Zeus, Poseidon, and Ares are high-ranking Gods.

The reason why demoting Ares to a lesser God is a bad thing? Lesser God has a high chance of disappearing from the living world. God is different from other beings in this world. They are a being that survives from the belief of humans.

Chief/High ranking God did not really need humans to survive for a hundred million years to survive. Mid-ranking God can only survive for a few hundred years without humans believing them. On the other hand, the Lesser God can only survive for ten years before they disappear unless a group of humans believe in them or worship them.

Not only for a matter of survival, but a worshiper also increases their power. Not only worship, if a human knows about the said God, but they will also increase the said God's power. This is the reason why there are so many games, books, or films about mythology in this world.

The Gods want to increase their power.

Sadly, this can only be used by a High ranking and, to a lesser degree, a Mid ranking god. Lesser Gods can't do that. They can only increase their lifespan by worship and acknowledgment that the said God is a higher being.

By demoting Ares to a lesser God, he will lose most of his authority and can only live in Olympus for the rest of his life. The only thing that lets him continue to live is that he is a rather famous God. That will let him live for another hundred thousand years. However, other than that? He has basically become a Mid-rank being in the scale of power.

More than ten thousand humans can kill him if that's happening. Ares, the God of War, becomes something that even humans can kill. A being that Ares sees as cannon fodder now can kill him if they want to. He who sees humans as nothing but walking dirt now needs to watch his mouth unless they kill him.

It was the ultimate punishment for someone so arrogant like Ares.

"And like I said before, I don't really care. He comes to the underworld gun-blazing just because of some misunderstanding?! He came here and almost killed one of our brightest children, he came here and almost killed the child of a noble, and lastly, he came here and almost killed my brother-in-law!"

Sirzechs slap the table and leave a hand mark on it. In the underworld, it is a well-known fact that the Grimory family protects their family with their life. The one poor bastard that decides to kidnap Lady Gremory gets himself tortured until he begs for death.

Sirzechs already see Riser as his brother-in-law. He sees the little guy like a brother that he never has. He already sees that Riser is a kind and protective individual just like him. He did not want to admit it out loud, but Sirzechs already saw himself in Riser. Riser is the only person that he approves of becoming Rias' husband.

So when he sees Riser's unconscious body filled with curses lying underneath Ares' foot, his first instinct is to blast the God of War with the full power of Power of Destruction. Lucky for him, Ajuka and Serafall are standing near him to hold him back before he does something that he will regret.

"Don't use that tone on me, boy!"

Zeus shouted while flaring his divinity. However, that said divinity gets swallowed by an even bigger aura. It was an aura that came from Sirzechs. Sirzechs is surrounded by a pitch-black aura with a red outline around the aura.

The aura released by Sirzechs is heavy. If Zeus' aura is like a massive thunderbolt that is ready to smite anyone who dares to go against him, then Sirzechs' aura is pure destruction. An aura that wants to eat anything on its path. An aura that is willing to swallow the world whole.

Even Zeus knows that if a fight is happening right now, he will be dead when fighting against Sirzcehs. Even his brother Hades hesitated to fight against Sirzechs, and he is one of the strongest beings in the world.

He did not want to admit it out loud, but the Greek Pantheon did not have many friends that they could call to battle. He knows that he can do much damage to the underworld, but he and his brother will be dead by the end of the fight. When both of them are dead, Hades will be the king of Olympus, and both of their factions will be at war.

He decided to swallow his pride and sit down on the chair. Zeus knows when he needs to retreat and swallow his pride. His life and the life of his faction are more important than his pride.

"Can't you reduce the punishment?"

In the end, Zeus decided to ask them to reduce the punishment of his son from the four satan.

"That is only one punishment. There's more."

"What?! Demoting my son into a lesser god is not the only punishment?!"

"Yes"

Serafall looks at Zeus calmly while sipping her tea.

"That is the punishment that he MUST get from almost killing the child of Phenex Clan, Son-In-Law of Satan, and also the creator of the potion that you buy from us. We have yet to talk about the punishment he needs to receive for illegally getting into the underworld, attacking the innocent people of the underworld, destroying a part of an important building in the underworld, summoning a dangerous beast without any permit, and many more."

The more he hears what Serafall is saying; the more Zeus really wants to kill his own son to make things easier. Sadly, he can't. While Ares gives him too much of a headache with a single action, he is still his son.

"L-let's talk about the punishment…."

When Zeus sees the smirk on Serafall's face, he knows that this meeting will cause him even more headaches than before.
