1 IT ALL STARTED WHEN- Ep 1

[Date 6th May 2022]

Ken a 16-year-old, shy and introverted boy and somewhat bullied too

that day he woke up at 6 am from the alarm.. he switched off the alarm and went to do his morning gaming sessions. Yes, he was a Hardcore gamer.

He often played games with genres like zombies, action, and level-up systems.. he never really cared what the world thought of him. What mattered to him was his gaming life.

After his gaming sessions were over he went to take a shower where he accidentally ends up sleeping for 15 mins.. after all, he gets back on his ps5 to play games. he's been stuck on a boss that's practically impossible to kill for him.

Right then he heard someone call him

"ken come down here and have your breakfast fast!" shouted his mom from downstairs.

out of frustration, he shouted back at her

"Ahhh! yes! yes! I'm coming mom! don't scold me early in the morning!" He felt annoyed whenever he got stuck on any game.

he wore his uniform and went out of his room and headed downstairs where he saw his mother sitting at the dining table. he greeted his mother with a

"Good morning" and also apologized for being rude.

He didn't have a big family he only had his dad and mom, who were loving toward him. His mom was always tired of his gaming addiction and she wanted him to become normal like other kids.

while they were having breakfast his mother asked him out of the blue

"What are you planning for the future? what job are you thinking of pursuing?"

"I kind of don't want to be doing a job and I just want to play games for now so I'll think about it later" replied Ken

"I'm seriously worried about yo-" his mother didn't get to complete his sentence and was interpreted by a phone call she had to attend it.

After taking his breakfast he went towards the main gate and opened it and went on his way to school.. he started walking past those cherry blossoms admiring their beauty... where he lived there were fewer but kind neighbors..

he lived far from the city (Tokyo) so he had to catch the train early..

that day the train seemed a little too empty...

'is there a national holiday or something I don't know of?' he wondered.

He found a seat near a window and sat there ...

while traveling he saw an unsettling thing.. a DEER crushed by a car but still somehow moving.. it did make him doubt what he saw but he forgot about it soon later.

After he got off the train he boarded a bus right away, surprisingly the bus was quite empty..

' well, well at least I can sit well today' he thought to himself..

he kept looking outside the window looking at the busy, but yet somehow calming streets.. he liked to observe people.. he didn't talk, he wasn't social, nor handsome, the only thing he was good at was observing and gaming!

after he got off the bus he went inside a convenience store nearby.. he brought some mango juice that he loved very much since childhood. And there was this lady working there who was always kind to him. So he visited her from time to time.

As he walked toward the school game. he kept wondering about how he would spend the day with Jaeha, his girlfriend,

'would she hug me today?'

'would we have lunch together?'

were all the stuff going on in his head. though he was introverted, he treasured his best friend Itadori, and his girlfriend Jaeha.

That Day He got To School a bit early that day than usual, he realized.. so he exchange his shoe pairs in the shoe locker and headed towards his classroom.

when he reached his classroom, he could see Jaeha sitting in one corner and she was eagerly talking to someone which was unusual for jaeha, she did Open up to Ken sometimes, but for most, she was always cold and straightforward.

'they look like they are having a lot of fun talking, haha' he thought..

he was about to enter but just then....

'THEY KISSED!' he was shattering more and more as he saw them kissing.

Tears drops started rolling down his eyes... He wanted to go in and confront her but he knew it was pointless. then he heard them talking

"woah don't kiss me like that what if your boyfriend sees it?" said the guy in a sarcastic tone.

"I wonder, he'll probably just start crying haha.. but he's just a wallet for me anyway.. like really sometimes it gets so embarrassing being around that Loser!"

"I know, right?!"

"I'm just with him cause he pays for my meals every time and is like a little puppy haha!"

They kept talking, but what he heard then was enough to make his mind go blank. all the moments he spent with her started to flash before his eyes. he desperately started running towards the school gate, crying and not having the courage to look into anyone's eye..

After He took the bus, he stared out the window with a blank look.. a lot was going on in his head but he just didn't know how to process those thoughts. he still couldn't believe what he saw. the glimpse of light he had at school and the attachment he build up with her all vanished in a blink.

after deboarding from the train, while walking he kept thinking about how pathetic he was and how much of a loser he was.

"I'm done playing the n-nice guy.." he talked to Himself..

He kind of saw this coming, to be honest, Jaeha was a popular girl who was very extroverted and positive however, Ken was just a loser and probably a bottom-tier character..

but one thing he had that others didn't was willpower, he had a very strong will even if a game was boring he wouldn't stop playing until he completed it.. That day He vowed to never be pathetic again..

as he walked near his house's gate, he saw his mom selling his consoles.. he raged.. You see, he was the kind of guy who would forgive someone if they said anything bad about him but if they did anything to his consoles he raged.

"MOTHER! what are YOU DOING?! those are mine?! why are you selling those without my consent" asked Ken furiously.

"YOU! YOU play games all day, never come out of the room, and never get good grades didn't you see this coming?! AND wait why are you here?! what happened to your high school? did you start bunking NOW?!"

his mother backfired at him.

"a lot happened.. I don't think I'll be attending school for some time.. I don't want to" sighed Ken. "What happened?! tell me?!" his mother asked

"I don't want to talk about this right now.. and anyways you can't just sell those Consoles! I'm sorry I'll be better! really!" he begged

"I've already made up my mind, I'm just really concerned about your future that's all, but since you're going through your thing right now that I won't force you to tell me, I'll set up a condition secure good grades in the semester finals and you get your stuff back easy right?" his mother replied.

"What?! THAT is IMpossi-" just then he remembered his vow

"I'll try my best" he said with a shaking voice..

"very well then.. but are you sure you don't want to tell me the reason you look so pale today?" asked his mother being worried..

Then without a word he went to his room and jumped on his bed and let out a deep sigh.

'I don't know how to tell Mom about this.. I don't know how I'm going to school like this, why? why? is this happening?' he thought.

he looked at the mirror just then he noticed how skinny and pathetic looking he was

he decided to change that.

he started running everyday few kilometers.. sure he was almost dead after each session but he was determined.. he started doing bodyweight exercises like Pushups, pull ups and what not.. at first he wasn't able to do a single one so he slowly worked his way up to 37 pushups without rest.

at this point he started eating healthy and tried meditation for mental health and stretching in the mornings, it worked he started to grow taller! though a little.. and little time for studying too.

after 3 weeks and 4 days of rigorous training and self-care.. he looked better, though he was still more or less just one inch taller than before.. he started taking good care of how he looked.. he was pleased with the results... he decided to continue his progress.. though he had been missing Highschool since the incident he still got the notes from his best friend Itadori...

his mother was really worried and almost forced him to go to school but after seeing his reluctance she thought something serious must have happened she did allow him to skip school but she asked him to keep up with the notes and studies.. She didn't ask about the incident anymore

'I guess I should let Ken handle his problem for once, I might not be there for him every time and besides it feels good seeing him getting back on track.' she thought.

like this, one month passed..

Ken started looking very lean now.. his features became sharper and looked more sculpted.. because of daily stretching he grew another half inch and finally became 5'9.. Ken now kind of felt proud of this body he had.. his face also improved to the point that his face is considered handsome now! his neighbors now get all red while talking to him once they thought of him as a little child... then winter came and Ken knew finally it was time to have a showdown with the test..

THE VIRUS IS SLOWLY TRYING TO MOVE UP THE FOOD CHAIN..

IT'S BEEN OBSERVED THAT ONCE THE VIRUS MUTATES TO INFECT THE NEXT ANIMAL ON THE FOOD CHAIN, THE SPECIES PREVIOUSLY INFECTED BECOMES IMMUNE TO THE VIRUS.. IT SEEMS THE VIRUS IS TRYING TO CAPTURE A CERTAIN SPECIES UNDER IT'S INFECTION AND THROUGH STATISTICS WE FEAR THAT THE VIRUS IS AIMING FOR US.

INFECTED ARE STARTING TO INCREASE AND IF YOU SPOT AN ANIMAL BEING SKETCHY WE REQUEST YOU TO LOCK YOUR DOORS OR WINDOWS AND CALL THIS NO! AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
