6 Miss King and Mr William (2)

"WHAT?" Jeremy asked in horror. "Of course not!" He said defensively with flushed cheeks. "I have a very large pen— goodness! What am I saying?"

Chloe still kept a serious face as she spoke, "It doesn't matter. You know I like you right? I have read online that the size does not matter. What matters is the—"

"I DO NOT HAVE A SMALL PENIS, CHLOE!" He yelled, shocking her. He was seriously beginning to lose it.

Chloe had to look around to be sure no one was within earshot. Thankfully, no one was around them.

"You know what?" Jeremy started seriously, "You have to clear your schedule this Sunday night. Let's go out."

"Really?" Her face lit up but she still looked skeptical.

He nodded but prayed silently, 'Dear Lord, forgive me.'

"We'll see." She tried to sound nonchalant, but there was an excited glint in her eyes.

"I need to return to the office now. I was in the middle of organising some documents when your text came in."

"I'll go with you."

"What? Why?"

"I'll just see you off and return to get my car."

"That's..."

"Just drive."

She shrugged and started the car. The drive was quiet at first before Jeremy remembered something and began to speak. He didn't want to think about what Chloe had said.

"Can you make a free time to help me talk to Ellie one of these days?"

"Ellie? What's wrong with her?"

"Uhm... I've been giving her some kind of teaching lately and she keeps asking me embarrassing female questions. I think it would be best for a lady to answer her."

She threw him a glance before looking at the road.

"What teaching? And what embarrassing female questions?"

"Uhm... Sex Education."

"Oooh..." She drawled. She could understand why Jeremy was too embarrassed to continue.

"She is 9, right? Why are you just doing that now?" Chloe asked. Her mother started giving her that kind of lecture when she was 4 years old because there were a lot of paedophiles ready to molest kids, and these kids had to be aware from an early age.

"My mother used to give the two of us separate lessons on those kinds of stuff, but since she... passed away, things have changed, you know. With the grieving, and part-time jobs and school, there was no time to do that. Lately, there have been a few boys in her class who have been sending her love letters. I just need to be sure she is aware of these things."

"Aren't you a lovely brother?" Chloe flashed him a smile. "I'll make a time next week and let you know."

"Thank you." He said with a smile.

They were quiet again before Chloe asked.

"So... your mother... taught you... that."

He wondered what she was talking about and quickly remembered what he had said earlier. A nervous laugh escaped his lips. "Let's not talk about that."

Chloe's face turned serious. She wanted to ask something but thought against it as she pulled up in front of her mall.

"Aren't you coming down?" She asked Jeremy, who shook his head.

"I want to see you off until you get in."

She snorted but didn't argue and drove them to the VIP parking lot. He had meant it when he said he wanted to see her off because he followed her to the administrative floor where her employees began to look at them but tried not to make it obvious.

Chloe's face turned cold and she kept a professional stance immediately she entered the building. She was used to behaving this way especially at work, so it came naturally whenever she stepped into the building.

"I guess I'll head back now." Jeremy said, already feeling uncomfortable with the many eyes watching them.

"Call me as soon as you get home." She spoke quietly.

He nodded and turned to leave while Chloe began to walk ahead towards her office until she heard Jeremy's loud voice call out to her.

"Miss King!"

She turned around and raised a questioning brow at him.

"Do not overwork yourself. I love you!" He said it loud enough for everyone in the room to hear.

Chloe's face flushed from embarrassment, but Jeremy smiled and waved at her. When he was satisfied, he turned to leave, but she called him this time.

"Mr. William?"

It was his turn to give her a curious look when he turned. She smiled a little and gave him a finger heart.

Through the corner of her eyes, she could see the shocked expression of her employees and how their jaws had dropped. She wished the floor would open up and swallow her, but Jeremy's blinding smile made her ignore the initial feeling of embarrassment.

She turned around and kept a straight face as she began to take confident steps with her heel, towards her office.

"I don't pay you all to dillydally." She spoke in a bossy tone to everyone in the room even as she continued to walk ahead. Everyone around returned to what they had been doing or pretended to work. But they had been traumatized by what they had seen.

How did Jeremy do it?

Immediately she entered her office, she pressed her back to the closed door and covered her face with her palms,

"That was so embarrassing!" She cried.
