"Can you brighten up a little?" Timi asked, pinching Rachel's cheek lightly. 

"What's there to cheer up about?" She slapped his hand away, sighing. 

"Come on, cheer up. The world is already a mess now. Let's have one less thing to worry about..." Delilah turned to look at Jared, saying, "And you too."

"Everything is a mess." Jared sighed tiredly. 

"So what happened to your sister?" Timi asked him curiously.

"She was smart to run away before my dad got back. She left the country. My dad almost went after her to teach her a lesson, but my mum held her back." He sighed again. "Her carelessness put us in all this. If she had just been a bit smart."

"But... I don't get it. What did she hope to get from ruining their reputation like that?"
