James' eyes went to where Mira stood, but this time she wasn't alone. His younger sister was standing beside her, glaring at him. When they locked eyes, she gave him the universal "I am watching you" sign before she turned to face Mira. 

"So are you coming with me?" Maya asked, smiling at him. He knew that look in her eyes. For a guy who has been with many girls, that look was well recognized whenever he saw it. 

"Why?" He asked, even though he knew the answer. 

She gave him a look he could interpret as "are you kidding me right now?" before she started laughing awkwardly. 

"What do you think? I mean... I just kissed your cheek. That should tell you what's up." 

"Anyone can kiss anyone's cheek. I kiss my parents' cheeks every time," he said, looking disinterested.
