1 Chapter 1 Birth and identity

King's Landing, Red Fort.

In the heart of the king's chamber, a woman dressed in the humble attire of a maid knelt before another woman. This woman was striking, with her long white hair cascading down her shoulders, eyes of deep purple, skin as pale as winter snow, and an aura that commanded respect.

"Liliya, I cannot fathom that Viserys would stoop so low, especially not to you," the white-haired woman, Aemma Targaryen, declared, her voice echoing with a fury that made the room feel colder.

Liliya trembled, her body wracked with sobs, tears carving a path down her cheeks. "Aemma, I am not here as your servant, recounting the sins your husband had committed nor I'm here to seek justice for myself. I am here as a friend, your half sister, pleading for your help. I am here to tell you that I carry a child.

"A child of Targaryen descends."

Aemma was taken aback, her eyes widening as she looked at her childhood friend and current personal maid and her half sister, she trusted and loved. She let out a sigh, sinking back into her chair, her mind racing as she glanced at her friend. "What do you have me to do ?"

"Everything I said is true, Aemma. Viserys, in his drunken stupor, forced himself upon me, whispering your name. I too am at fault, for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, but..." Liliya's voice trailed off, her gaze dropping to the floor.

"Speak, say it Liliya," Aemma insisted.

"I want to keep the child," Aliya confessed, her hand instinctively moving to her stomach.

"What!, Liliya you ?" Before Aemma could question her half sister further the other party replied.

"Aemma I know I'm being selfish but I have no one. I was born a basterd valued neither by my mother or father until I meet you I have no one to call as mine.

The Maester had already said that I will never have a child. My husband abandoned me due to my infertility, but.." she stopped her words for a second.

"Now, I am pregnant, and I don't know if I will have another chance. I want to give birth to this child," she pleaded, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Aemma, you have always been like a sister to me. Please allow me to leave at least for the same blood that flows within us. No one will know about this child, not even Viserys. I will head to the North and never to return," Aliya implored, her voice choked with tears.

"Liliya,.." Aemma looked at her half sister while she felt betrayed and angry she knew deep Inside her that her half sister was innocent.

Maybe it was this acknowledgement that made her make her final decision "Leave.. i don't want to see you ever again," Aemma Targaryen commanded, her voice cold like her expression

"Thank you, my queen. Thank you, my sister," Liliya expressed her gratitude as she rose and walked towards the door, her tears continuing to fall.

Aemma watched with a tumult of emotions. She wanted to end the illegitimate lineage, but seeing her sister and friend Liliya in such a state, she found herself unable to do so.

Standing up she took out a small bag from drawer "Liliya, take this with you, and the guard will escort you to Winterfell for your safety," she finally said, tossing a pouch of coins to Liliya

. "Thank you," Liliya whispered as she exited the room.

Soon, a carriage was prepared. On that stormy night, Liliya was escorted out of the Red Keep and swiftly departed King's Landing, heading North. Aemma Targaryen gazed up at the dark sky, her heart filled with a mix of emotions.

Aemma Targaryen concealed the truth about her husband's illegitimate child from everyone, ensuring even the guard who escorted Liliya to the North remained silent. Time passed without anyone knowing about Liliya and Aemma almost forgot about the incident as life continued as usual.

As dawn broke, a mercenary from Winterfell spurred his horse and entered the walls of King's Landing. Simultaneously, a raven from Winterfell also did so, carrying a message addressed to Queen Aemma Targaryen.

"My lady, the Maester asked me to deliver this to you," a servant greeted Aemma Targaryen, extending a sealed letter towards her.

Aemma accepted the letter, her fingers tracing the familiar handwriting. She hesitated before breaking the seal, her heart pounding in her chest. As she read the contents, her expression morphed into one of profound sadness, tears welling up in her eyes and spilling over.

The letter was from Liliya, penned on her deathbed. The urgency and desperation were evident in the red stains at the corners of the parchment. Liliya had given birth to a son but was now on the brink of death. She wished to entrusted her child to Aemma's care, hoping she would consider their past sisterly bond and make sure he survives till he is an adult, the baby was arranged to be seen to Kingslanding by a mercenary.

Reading the letter a wave of regret washed over Aemma. She chastised herself for not checking on her half sisters well-being, for allowing her to endure such hardships alone, for being blinded by hate. Despite Liliya's humble request that her son merely survive until adulthood, Aemma made a decision right then. She would adopt this child.

Without wasting a moment, Aemma rose from her seat, her loyal knight and a retinue of guards falling into step behind her. With a newfound purpose burning in her heart, she set out to locate the mercenary entrusted with Liliya's child. The letter had provided a crucial clue, guiding them to the exact location where the mercenary awaited their arrival.
