3 Selection

"We shall proceed as you wish then." He said with even bigger smile and continued "Tell me what would you like to have for giving me this joy."

"I want a well forged Long sword and full armour. Also I want my horse armoured for the joust. If possible a good bow." I summarized.

"In what events do you plan to participate?" He asked before agreeing.

"Meele, Joust and archery."

"Very well. I will arrange what you need well before the Tourney."He agreed.

"Father I would like to request something from you."

He gestured with his head to 'go on' while drinking from his goblet.

"I would like to have few gaurds of our house to follow me. Like my own personal gaurds."

"You can have no more than 50 gaurds of our household. You will be responsible for them. You can also use your own personal skills and charm to increase your gaurds. But I will not help you in that endaevour." He said."I will ask Ser Elon to arrange for you to choose from the 250 gaurds that we brought to king'slanding."

"Thank you father."I was internally happy. Initially I thought he would give me maybe 10 gaurds. This will help me with the next plan of action and improving my skillset.

With that I left the solar and went to spend time with my mother and sister. My mother is quite wise and loved all three of her children dearly. She often took us to ride on Meleys around the narrow sea. It is the best feeling. I sometimes felt jealous of my little brother who is 5 years younger than me as he managed to hatch his dragon Seasmoke after we returned from the great council. Now the dragon is 11 years old. Even though Laenor had yet to ride Seasmoke I am happy for him.

My sister is now 12 years old. She had grown to be a beautiful young girl from the snotty nose cry baby that used to follow me wherever I went. She is just like our mother- Smart, witty and bold. She too didn't manage to hatch her dragon. For which I felt sad. But now that I know she will be rider of largest living dragon all my worries are gone.

After spending sometime with my mother and sister later which my brother joined. We had lunch in the afternoon and made our way towards the yard. As I got informed that Ser Elon had arranged for me to select my gaurds.

"Make sure you select at least one knight and 2 squires during the selection." My mother suggested.

"Yes mother." I nodded at her.

"I still don't understand what this fuss is all about." Laenor complained.

"You will understand when you grow up." This was my quick to reply little sister Laena.

I just looked at her little smug face with an amused smile and tapped her forehead Itachi style.

In the yard gaurds were standing in 10x20 fashion. While the knights that serve our house were standing neatly in one separate row. I went forward and stood before them on the wooden crate that was pre arranged.

"Thank you for coming here on your busy day. I want to select 50 men amongst you today to serve me and follow me from this day onwards. Know that should you come under my service you shall my men till death. If you feel that you are not up for it, you can move away from the yard and get back to your duties. I will not put blame upon you."

There was some murmur after what I said and some people left. The people who left wer mostly old gaurds who have been serving my father for quitesome time. I am now left with 87 gaurds and 4 knights to choose from.

"Anyone above 18 years and less than 25 years please come forward." I shouted.

37 people came forward.

"Are you willing to serve me faith fully from today and till death?"

""Yes My Lord""

The reply came. I said "Then say your vows."

It took more than half hour to take their vows. I looked at the remaining men. "Anyone whose age is less that 30 please come forward."

15 men came forward.

I selected 11 of them and accepted their vows. I walked towards the 4 knights and asked-

"May I know how many battles you have participated and what kind of battle were they. I am under assumption that you know how to lead. Please come forward one by one and introduce yourself." I asked

"I am, Ser Harrion Snow My Lord.Age 35. I have participated in 4 battles against bandits before I swore to Lord Corlys and had 6 battles in both sea and land after that."

"I am Ser Ed shereen My lord.Age 29. I had 7 land battle and 3 sea battles. I have experience in sea battles and navigation."

"I am Ser Tyland Guant My lord.Age 27. I had 4 land battle and 2 sea battles. I have experience in sea battles."

"I am Ser Ronald Sand My lord.Age 37. I had 6 land battle and 4 sea battles. I have experience in navigation and castle defense."

 After they introduced themselves, I have selected the one I need.

"Thank you for your service to our house Sers'. May I ask Ser Harrion Snow and Ser Ed Shereen if you are willing to swear your oath to me?"

Unserstanding my decision the other two knights gave a quick bow and went back leaving the two selected knights.

After I took their oaths. I got a system prompt.
