New Beginning I

*Crackle! *Boom!

Thunder crackled outside along with the heavy downpour. The lightning lit up the dark sky covered in dark clouds. And while this was happening, inside a house, a man could be seen sitting on a couch in front of a fireplace.

"Sigh...What to do, I'm feeling lost..."

As he said so, he picked up a cup of coffee which was on top of a small table in front of him. He then took a sip out of the cup, before putting it back on the table.

"Anime, Mangas, Games, LN, or Novels brought me joy in this world. No family, no friends, nothing except my money which most people are after." His eyes flash with sorrow as he let out a rueful smile. " How I wish I could just live inside one of those fictional worlds like those protagonists. Their life is much more interesting than my life."

This man was an orphan, he grew up in an orphanage that had bad people as caretakers. They used up the money donated in the orphanage for their personal use so the children there suffered greatly, they starve as the food was scarce, and some got sick due to bad food served to them.

The man was included in those that suffered so he decided to escape, luckily he managed to do so, unnoticed. After that, he ran far away from where the location of orphanage was in.

Then that's where his new struggle came, he was just ten years old at that time. He had no money for food, so he resorted to eating food left in the trash. From then on, he lived a difficult life. He was homeless and became a beggar on the streets. There was even a time he resorted to stealing from passersby.

But one time, he got extremely lucky. He stole a bag back then, which contained so much money. Back then, his only desire was to survive, so he didn't hesitate to steal though he felt bad.

After that, using the money he got, he slowly changed. That's where his life changed, he bought decent clothes, then he started self-studying by reading books from the public library.

He was quite intelligent so he learned quickly and when he was at the age of 16, he entered high school. He studied hard and got high grades then became a top student. After that, he got into a good college and then graduated with excellent marks. Soon after, he built a small business, which grew over the years.

At that time, he also discovered anime, manga, LN, Games, and Novels. When his business became bigger, he established a company. His feat amazed the people, as he alone built his company from the ground up.

His life became better, after that he frequently donated money to orphanages but he also sent someone to monitor if the money was being used correctly. That's the summary of his life, and now let's go back to him.

"Living in a fictional world huh." He muttered before letting out a faint laugh. "Haha, what wishful thinking, there's no such thing in this world. I already learned that years ago, didn't I?" A sad smile formed on his face.

After that he stayed silent and just enjoyed his coffee while relaxing on the couch, he was sitting on. Unknown to him, or everyone for that matter, the random wish he muttered would forever change his life.

Darkness, endless darkness, that's what this place is. There was no light, only darkness that extends endlessly. And upon this endless void of darkness, a golden orb of light floated.

A cold and mechanical voice sounded which came from the floating golden orb of light.

The golden orb suddenly vanished from the void leaving the silent void of darkness alone.

In a certain house, a man could be seen sleeping on his bed. But suddenly, a golden orb of light appeared atop him. It floated on top of him as if observing the man.

The golden ball of light entered the man's body. But it seems the man didn't feel anything, as he continued to sleep peacefully.

Suddenly a grey-colored orb of light with hints of gold came out of the man's body, after which it vanished from the room. After the orb vanished, the room was silent.

And the body of the man who was sleeping peacefully earlier slumped. No breath can be heard coming from the body. The man was now dead, just like that. But as they say, death is the end but also the beginning of another journey.

Located on the outskirts of the city was a relatively big house. It was of western design with a second floor. The house has metal bars that act as walls around it. There were some trees too, scattered around the area.

And on one of the rooms in the house, a handsome boy with grey hair was currently sleeping. But then a grey orb with hints of gold appeared and entered the body of the boy.

All this happened without the knowledge of the man and the boy. After the orb entered the boy's body, nothing more happened except for the color and mechanical voice that echoed in the room.

After the voice died down, no noise was heard in the room except the sleeping boy's breath. No one noticed the things that happened, but this was a signal for a new adventure.

Morning came quickly, the sun started rising from the east. With it came the sun's warmth as it woke the people. The grey-haired handsome boy that was sleeping was the same.

With the sun shining upon the boy's face, he also started waking up. His eyelids quivered before he fully opened his eyes. What showed were beautiful greyish-silver-colored eyes.

But then, the boy looks around confusedly. "This isn't my room..." he uttered in a low voice.

The room he was in was a simple room with a simple interior design. There was a bed, which he currently laid on, a cabinet full of clothes beside a bookshelf at the side, full of various books. A small table beside his bed and another table at a distance that has a PC on it.

The boy thought for quite some time, during those which he also looked in the mirror. And after thinking, he simply sighed at the conclusion he arrived at.

A surprised expression graced his handsome face, "To think I would transmigrate..." He muttered before chuckling, "Hehe, I didn't think that the wish I uttered yesterday would come true." He reacted calmly, after all, what's done is done. So it's no use if he panics, he already transmigrated. And with his experience before transmigrating, it was relatively easy for him to remain calm.

"I need to arrange the memories I got."

He was currently in his 2nd year at Fujimi Academy, the same school where the main cast attends. Of course, now it's still peaceful as no zombies are running around.

After arranging the new memories he got after transmigrating, he smiled wryly. "Damn...to think I would transmigrate in HOTD. Am I lucky that I transmigrated into a new life or unlucky for being in this world," he muttered bitterly.

"So my new identity is now Liam Spencer." His thought didn't stay on that topic for long, instead, he focused his thoughts on more important things. He clenches his fist in determination, "I will survive in this brand new world just like how I did back then in my previous world." he muttered softly.

Liam then stood up and did his morning hygiene, arranged his bed, ate breakfast, then change clothes and go out of the house.

With sweat dripping on his handsome face, a boy with grey hair and greyish-silver eyes is currently jogging at a park. It was still early in the morning, a perfect time for jogging.

'Luckily, the previous Liam trained his body well. He also trained in swordsmanship and I also trained in martial arts in my previous world like Kali, Eskrima, etc. That will certainly come in handy in the future.' Liam who was jogging thought.

Then I'll need to worry about school next. I need to get to know some people like Hirano Kohta. He will be helpful with his extensive knowledge of firearms and he also knows how to create improvised guns. And there's also Saeko, luckily I and her are training under her Father.'

While thinking, he also swiftly got his chance of clothes from the cabinet. Which he then wear quickly, after he was done wearing, Liam then sat down on a chair in front of the PC.

"Time to gather info..." He mutters softly, he then turned the PC on before searching for information on the internet.

"Haaah..." After exhaling a long breath, a smile appeared on Liam's face. He was finally done gathering the necessary information for his plan.

"Luckily, there are still some similarities between this and my previous world. Looks like I can get money fast. I'll start my plan then...with a few million yen left by my parents, I'll grow it up and buy necessary things for the upcoming apocalypse."
