Irene spent the rest of the afternoon holed up in the room, losing the energy to deal with everything.

She felt physically and emotionally tired and wished her suffering would end soon.

Hours passed by.

Evening comes.

Irene and Margaret were having dinner in the dining room.

After dinner, they both retire early to their room, not talking about Aurora.

She can't sleep early. Her mind was preoccupied with her current situation.
