1. The Tree Near Dwarka Sector-9 Metro Station and DELHI Cantonment

TREE NEAR DWARKA SEC-9 METRO STATION

There is a giant Banyan/Peepal tree in the middle of the road considered superstitious and have a presence of some paranormal things. People travelling in call centre cabs at night have experienced an energy slapping them and some have even seen a women running alongside the cars.

There are two different stories related to it.

Believed that tree near metro station witnessed an accident many years ago. A women was severly injured but no one arrived to help and she died here at the spot. Since that day people can see her around this tree and chasing vehicles to find the driver who killed her. It is believed that her spirit now resides on the tree here and slaps around those who pass this road late at night.

Second story links this lady from British Era. It is said that this tree is more then 100 years old. In the beginning of 19th century when Delhi was the capital of the British Raj, the entire Dwarka region was a dense forest and a lake was said to be exist near this area. The lady was drown inside the lake while hiding, her body was not recovered and since then she stays around the tree.

The contractor engaged in the road construction tried his best to remove this tree but never succeed. Said that an old lady dressed in white used to come in dreams to warn labours to keep away from that tree. Later, the contractor refused to cut this tree and built a temple there.

Till date mystery is unsolved.

DELHI CANTONMENT

A woman clad in white often hails motorists for a lift on the stretch. She then chases the ones who do not give her a lift, running a speed that equal or is more than their vehicles. As for those who oblige and give her a lift, they are never seen again. For people who stopped and asked her for direction, it is said thay they did not find their way home the entire night and kept circling around the city, completely lost.

There are two different stories about this women.

It is believed that on the last night of her life, she asked for a lift elsewhere in the city. Guys she hoped on with raped in her a moving car and then dumped her body at Delhi Cantt. Ever since, she is stuck here in a death loop, asking for a lift and repeating the events of her death each night. Some think of her as a vengeful spirit seeking vengeance on men, as a matter of fact any man who gave her a lift.

Another theory portrays her as a wicked woman herself. It is said that she found her husband cheating on her and in fit of anger, killed her two children with her own hands before killing herself but the guilt and shame of her deed forbade her spirit to enter her own house. Now she is stuck here as a lost soul trying to find her way home where she had murdered her own children and because she is a lost soul herself, anyone who asks her for directions ends up getting lost for the entire night, going around in circles all over the city.
