7 The Oranmore Mansion Tragedy
On the morn of hallows eve, tragedy struck the town of Oranmore, a welcoming and lovely place known for its scenic views and Atlantic Bay. With a population of 4990, there is a low crime rate and many folks retire in the quiet little town.
Sadly, nowhere is perfect. At half nine in the morning, the police were called to 16 Bog Road, Oranmore.
A neighbour heard screaming in the middle of the night, they shortly fell back asleep and called the authorities in the morning. No one knows what would've happened if the civilian had called at the time of the disturbance.
Upon inspection of the property, police discovered a horrifying scene. The bodies of Cray (6), Emma (11), Archie (41), and Carolyn Doyle (43).
The perpetrator is believed to be Antony Doyle, the oldest brother and son of Archie and Carolyn Doyle. He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder and possession of a deadly weapon.
Doyle was believed to be sound of mind, meaning he had no drugs or toxins in his system at the time of the incident. Unfortunately, we have no further information on Doyle's condition; however, we know he was unharmed despite the violent events which took place early this morning.
The crime scene investigator described the scene as "unholy" and "void of humanity", his description of the home was unnerving.
The living room where the family was found was quote on quote "a shower of red," blood covered the ceiling, walls and almost all the furniture. It is alleged that Anthony Doyle cannibalized one of his siblings; authorities cannot confirm or deny this fact due to the remains of the children being "mutilated beyond recognition".
Detective O'Connor stated during our interview,
"A young lad walking his dog thought he heard a loud bang around 6:30 am. He lives half a mile down the road, but heard nothing out of the ordinary before this morning."
He went on to further comment, if someone had called sooner, there could've been hope for the family. It's an absolute tragedy; words cannot describe the loss our community feels."
Since the news of the tragedy broke this morning, the community have turned to social media to mourn. A handful of the community has commented on Anthony Doyle's character as "unusual" and "cold".
There's been no comment from the Doyle's distant family to confirm or deny the claims about Doyle's character. It seems he is shrouded in mystery; no one knows what he truly is like.
At present, there is no testimony from Doyle. The authorities haven't released a statement to the press and we haven't been granted access to Doyle regarding an interview.
