1 The Taxi driver

In Ghana a boy called John Jerry is a 37-year old man who was accused of committing murder in Eginsu Asenase. 

He was a taxi driver who used work with a taxi car for leaving. He had a wife and two children. The taxi driver had a woman who used to sever her. The woman sometimes sends the taxi driver to so many places and later pays him. So she became a trusted customer. At any moment, the woman can call the taxi driver and meet him and send her to wherever she wants to go. The woman has no husband, but rather one kid. All the neighbors around her knew about the relationship between the taxi driver and the woman. According to the taxi driver, he got a message from the woman. He said, "Pls come and pick me up in the house" as he visited her and saw that the woman was lying in a pool of blood. As soon as he saw her, he ran away into his taxi with a merely speedy exit from the area without reporting the incident. It was later that another person went to see it and suggested the taxi driver was seen on the day the incident happened and was moving at a merely accelerated speed.

The police arrested him later and made this confession. As of now, the investigation is still on-going.

My question is why he did not report the incident when he witnessed it.
