1 Chapter 1: Death of the Greens

Nicole.

Someone, somewhere, has died right now. And another one, and another one.

It's an endless loop, that will never stop because death is just another part of life.

You all think differently about the afterlife, whether it so happens to be real, or not.

In this story, I guess the afterlife does exist, but it's not quite what you think.

My name is Nicole Green, or at least that's what I've been told, today is my first day in high school, I know, most cliche way to start a story, but starting anywhere else would be too confusing.

My older sister Alison Green was coming with me, little did we know that day would be the death of us.

Literally.

"You Okay? You look a bit worried" Alison said smirking, she knew I was nervous.

"Hilarious," I said in the most monotone voice I could conquer.

We stopped and looked both ways before crossing the street as any normal person would, and you would think the car passing by would be considerate enough to at least beep and stop, but that dear driver didn't, and so that day I said goodbye to life.

I heard a sound, a loud one for that matter, the sound of a car speeding towards us, the sound that would soon greet us with death, my sister took a hold of my hand trying to run, but I couldn't move, I was frozen in spot, petrified, my body had accepted my fate, and my sister's parental side hit her harder than ever before, did I also mention her stupidness?

My sister tried to pull me away but my body did not comply, and so the car got closer and collided with our cold, cold bodies.

And that was the end.

The end.

But, the end of life you see, cause it wasn't over, the afterlife was still there, and like everyone else, that was where I was going, not as fast as my sister, however.

"Diane!? What are you doing here?!" The voice of a man exclaimed.

"What do you mean? She's coming with me" A woman exclaimed, she seemed to have a very calming voice, but was very aggressive, you might wonder how that is possible, but it is.

"Of course not, what are you thinking? She hasn't done anything wrong, a couple of sins here and there, but nothing too bad!" The man said in confusion.

"Alison Green? Are you serious? You really have gone insane" The woman's voice said, she seemed to be annoyed.

"This is not Alison, Diane, it's Nicole, but yeah, we will discuss Alison's situation later, where is Damien?" The man's voice asked.

"Damien is at Alison's, we must have gotten confused so I told him to go over there, shit. That means she's going upwards." The woman who seemed to be called Diane said in a panic.

"Diane! You idiot- Ugh, I can't say that" the man sighs.

"No, go ahead, but then again, you are the father of angels, so... that won't be a good look for you" Diane laughed at the man.

"Ugh..." the man sighed, and then I blacked out.

I woke up, I woke up from a deep, deep sleep. I woke from those kinds of sleep you never wanna wake up from, and it was so heavy that I couldn't have heard the loudest noise that would wake me up, and for some reason it felt even shorter, like, when you fall asleep and then suddenly, one second later, it's the next day? That kind of feeling.

I can barely manage to flutter my eyes open, sometimes even closing back, my body did not want to wake, but that wasn't my body's decision, it was my brains, and it was curious.

I stood up from my bed, Wait, that wasn't any bed of mine, suddenly a wave of fear hits me and I start to freak out, I take a good look around the room, it was completely white it felt as if it was screaming at me, it was very bright, it had what seemed like a bed at first, was more like a sofa, two on each side of the room, bars were hanged up higher then the bed, it had a basket on top of the bars, and a big window gleamed, too bright to see anything at all, on the opposite side there is a door, an odd door, at first I think I'm in a hospital, but there wasn't any sign of monitors, patients or doctors.

Maybe I was in a mental hospital? No matter how weird it seemed to me, it was possible, but it wasn't cushioned, and there were objects I could potentially be harmed with.

"Sister?" A weak voice whispered, I shot my head to look behind me, the door had been opened, and a girl was standing over it, her white hair almost blending in with the rest of the room, middle of her hair was the lightest brown I've ever seen, her skin looked pale, but nowhere near as close as the room, her eyes where a such a beautiful tone of green that most would think they're fake. And she was wearing a dress, a white dress, it looked almost like a robe, it was green at the bottom, I didn't know if I was hallucinating, but that green looked exactly like her eyes.

It was a voice I recognized, a face I recognized, but it did not look the same.

I tried to remember her name, but It felt trapped, I knew it once why couldn't I remember it now?

It felt like a song, a song I only knew the lyrics too, and I tried to remember the lyrics, so I could find the song, but I never remembered them.

It felt like a locked memory, one I could not access, and the harder I tried to unlock it, the faster it would fade away.

I wanted to know the name of this girl, the girl who I had so many memories with, but the memories, weren't there.

I felt their presence but I could not remember their contents, I couldn't remember what happened.

"¿Who are you?" I ask the girl, already knowing she is part of my life, just not knowing what part of it.

"I- I don't know, I don't know my name or life, I don't even remember having one... ¿Who are you?" The girl asks stepping closer towards me.

"I'm- I have no idea," I said to the girl, stepping closer towards her.

"Come with me, let's find a way out of this train," The girl said smiling at me, she held my hand and led me out of the compartment I was in.

I was on a train, how odd? I looked inside a couple of compartments but they were all empty, not just in people but also in objects, there was no sofa like in our compartment, no sign of a basket or rails, and the window led to an empty nothingness, it was pure black, the darkest black I've ever seen, which is ridiculous I suppose, but it was like every light colour was even lighter and every dark colour was even darker.

Rose gold flowers were painted all over the train, they intertwined with each other, but then I noticed something, something strange, the flowers where ahead but if I looked back, the wall was plain white.

I took two steps backwards, and the roses appeared back on that part of the wall, and when I looked behind they were still gone but appeared once I backed up.

"Follow the flowers," I said taking steps ahead of the girl, and following the rose gold paint, wherever it went.

Even though it was supposed to be a train it did not appear so, there were halls to right and left, and it almost seemed infinite...

We finally saw a sneering light and felt a cool breeze come from the door in front of us, we walked towards the door slowly.

"What do you think is on the other side?" The girl questioned

"If I'm being honest, no idea." I chuckled

"I just hope it ain't anything bad," the girl said nervously

"Me neither" I mumbled.

And with those last words, we opened the door that led out of the train, soon enough our eyes were blinded by the light outside if I thought the windows were bad, I had no idea what was coming.

The girl hissed, and I held such a strong fist I think my nails had gone through my skin.

Suddenly everything became clearer, It was still hard to see, however.

"Alison, Nicole Green. Welcome!" A man said.

I looked at the man he was wearing a plain white shirt, and black pants, his hair was a shiny tone of blonde, and he had pale skin, his blue eyes stared at us with curiosity, and what seemed like feathers all over his back.

I slowly started to realize...

Those weren't just feathers, they were wings. And a gleaming ring glided above his blonde hair.

"What are you?" I asked the man.

"Where are we?" The girl asked.

"I am Brandon, an angel. And you are... You ladies are dead, this is heaven."

"What?"
