The Devil Inside

"What do you mean?" "I mean that all those things which happen around you have nothing to do with psychology." Dr. Jefferson explained. "It's true that you've been having a history of psychological issues but this one is probably not." Seeing the confused look on Kett's face, she added. "I didn't quite understand it yet." Kett said in response. "Actually there is no point in you understanding it, since you're not gonna live that long." "What?" Kett tuned to look at her but looked forward again as Dr. Jefferson moved close to her. She rested her hands on Kett's shoulders and brought her mouth closer to Kett's ear. Kett's head started to burn in pain as she did so.

"I do feel the devil inside you already."

Her cold breath was sending shivers through Kett's body. "What does that supposed to mean?" Kett asked trying to cope with the pain in her head.

"I meant it's time to die."

Long before Kett could realize what she had just said, something sharp ran through her flesh causing an intense pain. She fell on to the ground along with the chair she was sitting on. She crawled away from the doctor gliding on the floor. The carpet was covered with a huge red stain. Dr. Jefferson started to move towards her, her foot steps causing a remarkably spooky sound. Kett crawled backwards but had to stop because she met the wall. She was sitting with her back to the wall. The outline of Dr. Jefferson who was moving closer and kneeling infornt of her was the last thing she saw before her body gave up on her and fell on to the floor while her eyes closed loosing her conciousness, as the sword passed through her abdomen once again.

It must've been a few minutes before she gathered up her energy. She tried to open her eyes even though she was still weak. She saw the figure of Dr. Linda Jefferson through her halfly closed eye lids. Seeing that Kett had not died, Dr. Jefferson raised up her sword to stab her again. But she couldn't. A grey coloured obstacle was made around Kett, preventing the sword from reaching her. As the obstacle was made Kett felt the two pointed teeth which were appearing from her mouth, just like they did in the pool of blood. "This can not be possible. How can a dirty creature like you hold his powers?" Dr. Jefferson said while taking her sword away. Both the obstacle and the pointed teeth disappeared as she did so. Kett was watching everything with her almost closed eyes. It didn't stop from there. The blood which was pouring out of the wound in her stomache gathered up and something other than blood came out of her. It was a ball of red light identical to the one which rolled out of Emma, in the graveyard. It started to unroll itself. But it was not the outline of the girl from the graveyard.
