His Story

"I was living peacefully with my mom, when all kinds of mysteries started to gather around me. I was so confused at first so I wanted to know more. so I went on exploring, which is why everything went off the track and I ended up in a place like this." He started to speak, his voice echoing through the mild breezes which swirled around them after kissing the flower beds, filling their nostrils with a sweet scent. Kett kept listening like a small child who was enjoying her story time with her grandfather. "What about your dad?" She asked. "I never knew him." He replied, looking away. "It's okay." She said, awkwardly. "But what made you come here?" She went on, trying to change the topic. "Well, so many weird things kept happening around me but I was feeling guilty to tell anyone. But finally I gathered up my courage and opened up to my mom, which resulted in my arrival here. My mom dropped me in this place. But I don't think I am crazy. Do you think I am?" "Nope. Not at all." Kett said, smiling at her new friend. "Go on."

"So I was a perfectly ordinary kid until one day, everything started getting in my way. That morning, I was walking past an ally all by myself when I heard a voice. It was a soft and a sweet voice, which I instantly adored. It called me by my name. I went towards that direction as if I was attracted by a magnet. When I suddenly thought that I had found it, I was standing in the middle of a dense forest. All kinds of tall trees were surrounding me. It didn't seem like a man had ever been there. The undercover was thick enough to hide a cow." Kett couldn't help but burst out into laughter at that one. "To hide a- cow?" She said, still being unable to resist the giggles. "I just couldn't find a better animal. Oi! Stop laughing. You are breaking my concentration." But that just made her laugh even louder. "Concentration? What did you even had to concentrate on?" "I needed concentration to tell you the story in the most dramatic way maybe?" He said looking annoyed. "Fine. Keep laughing then. I'm done." "Oh no. Sorry. Please go on." She said as she finally stopped laughing and aimed a friendly punch at his shoulder. "Okay. So I was in this forest all alone. The person who spoke to me was not to be seen anywhere. It sounded like a female voice. So I talked to her.

"Hello? Who is this and what do you want?"

But the voice didn't turn up. Well it did, but after a long silence." "What did it say?" Kett asked, being unable to bear her curiosity for so long. "Oh! Wait for it." He replied, rolling his eyes. "Oops! Sorry." She said, looking like an innocent kid. "So it said," Sage cleared his throat and started to imitate a cold, but yet deary voice.

"Sage Brooklyn, I know you can hear me. You are beyond the ordinary. I came to you since I felt the powers you hold underneath. I will be here to help you out in every difficulty."

"But who are you?"

"I asked." Sage went on with his story.

"I am the Mother Nature."

"The voice said as it disappeared. I asked a lot more questions but they weren't answered. I then found my way out of the forest. Surprisingly, all the trees and even the animals helped me find my way out. They showed me my path and I had no difficulty coming out." He stopped for a second to catch some breath. "Mother Nature? Who is that?" Kett asked as she got the chance. "Umm... I think I have a connection with the nature." "What do you mean by nature? Trees?" "Not exactly. Nature is not what we always see." "You are confusing." Kett complained. "Just because you are dumb." He said as he got up and walked away. "So did that nature of yours help you all this time?" Kett asked, catching up with him. "Yes" "With what?" "Well, it's not the right time for you to know everything yet."

"This man really is a complicated puzzle." Kett thought, silently. "I already told you that it is just because you are dumb." Sage said. "Wait. What?" Kett exclaimed, amazed. "You just thought that in your head, didn't you?" He asked, smiling. "Yes but how come you heard that?" Kett was suspicious. "What if I am to tell you that I can read minds?" Sage winked as he said so. "Wait- how?" "I don't know. I just, can." "That's amazing." Kett said, her eyes widened and her eyebrows raised.

"I don't really trust you yet but since you were the only person who believed in my story, can you keep a secret?" He suddenly asked as they were passing by the cafeteria. "Count me in." She said, a wide smile spreaded through her face, her eyes lit, making her look like an excited four year old. She was finally going to have a new friend.
