Prologue

Blood, corpses disseminated far and wide. No living beings could be seen and if they were, they would soon perish under such conditions. A seemingly unending battle had just taken place with no sorrow to be found as the already forlorn scenario could no longer get worse. Just then, a glimmer, a small, insignificant light, but in the unending darkness currently it seemed like a sun, shinning it's bright rays down onto the earth.

This place was obviously not earth, a defining factor to show this was the two bright, lustrous moons glaring down at the bloodied battle field. The stood tall many buildings, some projecting holographic images that we would not see on earth, one an advertisement, other shining the word haunted, however with the constant glitching it was hard to make out what it meant. Seemingly not just the centre, but also what seemed to be the surrounding city had been affected, this was no longer a city of the living it was as if an idol of demolition came and caressed it with its sweet, sweet hands.

"Oh.... Hi"

A man with deadly, numbed eyes. Eyes that had seen too much lay on the camera in front of him. Despite the man's hoarse and hush voice it pierced through the silent city of the dead like a knife through butter. Dark hair, red eyes, and a decently tall body. It would be odd to call this man, handsome, however, he was definitely not ugly.

"I don't know what to say, mom, dad, and, of course you sis... I guess you may be confused, since I look a lot different, but I'm Han. People here call me Cane, though"

Another man with white hair covered by the thick scent of blood around him sat near him silently this entire time, like a ghost that had only regrets left on this planet. No questions asked this man was absolutely handsome with his white hair that reached the ground, red eyes with no humanity to be seen within. Similarly to the other man he was quite robust and tall. He was beginning to anxiously tap the sword on his waist as if he was in a rush. Then suddenly....

SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH!!!!!!!!!!

An ear-splitting scream came from above and it was quite obvious what the 'thing' above was, anyone with some common fantasy knowledge would be able to tell at a glance. Dark red scales that covered its body like Armour and vertical eyes that seemingly looked through the world, there was absolutely no doubt about it... A dragon, there was no other was to describe the majestic being that crosses the sky, however the two seemed uninterested in it as if it was like a passing small animal on the roadside that they didn't need to heed any mind to they simply glanced at it then looked away but the white haired man seemed to have now lost his patience, standing up straight and walking towards Han.

"Hurry the fuck up, bro. We don't have much time. I'm Islan, yeah, I know I look different as well but... Yeah, look we don't have time to explain, but I love you all. You probably won't believe this though, since it's a bit of a long story.... "

The man pulls out a cigarette with no hope in his eyes like his fate is at its end, despite standing tall with Han among the many corpses with no injuries. Looking up at the grey sky that contained a multitude of flying creatures seemingly each one larger than the last.

"A long story, it is... " muttered Han

This will be my first work and I'm still learning what to do so I tried to keep the prologue short and sweet before I get into the real stuff but I hope you enjoyed this first chapter!
