In for the Ride

Drake carefully approached the cave, slowly alighting on the slippery steps. As he advanced, his boots made a horrendous squelching sound. While trying not to slip and fall, he couldn't comprehend how quickly he was able to descend in the rain. Maybe because his thoughts were somewhere else then. 

As he reached the top, he was greeted by a large, open cave. There was an eerie blue glow to it that Drake found unsettling. It was the same color as the sky when the sun had just set, and the stars had just begun to appear. 

He didn't see any sign of Agatha, but he could hear a soft whimper. He approached the glow and saw that it was coming from a small hole in the ground. He felt a sense of dread as he approached it. Near the glowing gap that seemed to be covered by a layer of blue liquid, there stood Agatha.
