Chapter 1: First day of Freshman

I had my head wrapped up in a mess and my heart was pounding while someone took my hand and pulled me further into the woods. Whoever it was they kissed me passionately and they were good at it. While kissing me he pushed me into the light so I could see who it was. I opened my eyes and saw...

One day earlier. "Brooklyn, Bailey!" my mom yelled to wake us up from downstairs. I looked at my digital clock that I made myself that said 6:30 A.M. I laid there looking up at my ceiling for a few minutes, and later when it hit 6:34 A.M I got up and out of bed. When I got up, I made my bed, and my bed set is teal with white dots. We lived in Bayneville, which is a small town, so everyone knew everyone. All of a sudden, I heard footsteps approach me and it was my twin sister Brooklyn racing into my room, demanding me to hurry up so we can get to school early to see her friends since summer is finally over. Brooklyn is more like an early bird, but I'm like a bat in the night. If I was being honest, I was four minutes older than Brooklyn. Everyone thought Brooklyn was the prettiest and I agreed with them. She had brown silky hair that she wore in a French braid. Her eyes were like mine, a light green like the grass in our yard and she wore contacts instead of glasses like me. She wore a white ruffled shirt that had holes on both sides of her shirt where her shoulders were, but it was more of a crop top than a shirt. Her jeans were a light color with white fringe and holes in the knee area and the thigh area, and her shoes were black and white checkered vans.

As she went downstairs to the kitchen to eat cereal that our mom makes us for school every morning. I threw my brown thick hair into a low ponytail and placed my glasses onto my face. I put on a black V-neck t-shirt with light blue jeans and then I put on a black and red flannel shirt around my waist. I slipped on my black and white checkered vans and went downstairs where my mom was getting ready for work and my sister eating cereal. There was a bowl of cereal that had apple jacks on the counter that mom made for me and my sister. My mom has troubled every morning trying to get us up and ready, and for her to get ready for work ever since dad left us. She's been taking care of us all by herself for a while now. Dad left when me and my sister were four years old and all I really know about him is that he left my mom for Krystal up in California. Mom would always tell us good stories about him when he was in the marines and was helping our country. I'm kind of sad that he left, but also mad at him for abandoning us for another woman that wasn't our mom. My mom was eighteen when dad left trying to financially support us from a distance. "You guys need to hurry up and get to school on time. I'm getting ready to leave for work," my mom told us when she was giving us kisses on the forehead. Mom left and I went to get my keys, and while I was saying that my sister was already out the door for the car. I went out after her to leave for school, but I forgot to lock the door, so I had to turn back and go lock it.

I went back and got into my red Tesla and put my seatbelt on. I backed out of the driveway and went right to school, but the good thing is school was only four minutes away from our house. I pulled into the parking lot and our spot was open, so I pulled right into it. It was right by the doors, so we didn't have to walk halfway across the parking lot to get to school. I took the keys out of the ignition and Brooklyn was out in a flash. When I got out and shut the car door and locked it my sister was already with her friends by the front school doors getting ready to walk in. Brooklyn's friends were Lizzie, Jane, Jack, and Matty. All the girls wore the same outfit and hairstyles while the boys wore whatever they wanted. Jake had a dark blond mane that was tampered into the head through the sides and back leaving the top layers long enough to be parted on one side and was wearing his green t-shirt with light skinny blue jeans. Matty had light green eyes like mine, and his hair a naturally straight mane that is layered all over leaving enough length through the top to add height. He was wearing a dark green t-shirt with light skinny blue jeans like Jake, but to be honest I've always liked Matty since kindergarten. Everyone loved him with his goofy smile, and he made people laugh a lot.

I haven't told anyone, not even my only BFF in the whole world which I knew I had too soon. They were basically the popular, cool kids of the grade. My BFF Jaylynn was always there for me so I would have to tell her today at lunch. The sad thing is people call us losers of the grade which hurts us a lot, but we've gotten used to it over the years. Jaylynn had naturally radiant red hair but kept the color bright often and it was wavy and almost always had a headband in, but today it was a black headband. Her shirt was a dark blue long-sleeve shirt, the arms were lace. The jeans she wore were light but had a fringe that was white in the knee and thigh. She wore black and white checkered vans just like me.

Jaylynn told me in the hallway that she would see me at lunch because class was about to start. So, she scurried off to her class while I was still at my locker grabbing a few things at my locker 227. I grabbed my books and shut my locker, but I knew that it was going to go back to the way it was every year. The jocks have always passed by the locker to get to the class I was in and they always will stay the same. I knew it was time for them to pass by me because we all had the same class first hour. I turned around with my books in my hand trying to bury my face. They came straight by me, and they slapped my books out of my hand and onto the floor and they also took my glasses off by yanking and throwing them on the ground. Everyone knew they were the jerks of the grade including the principle, and everyone just circled and laughed at me like they always have. Their names were Collin, Ben, and Aden and they were the jocks, the popular, and got any girl they wanted.
