Chapter 82: Bits and Pieces

He was getting toured by Sakura inside the village so he won't get lost. "That is all the important things here, you can ask anyone inside the village if you have any more questions. Do you need anything else?" He shook his head and said his goodbye to her.

"Now, from what I can see. This place looks fairly normal, no guilds, no people with magic and shit. Well, I do have powers... Better keep wraps on that or they'll worship or try to kill me." He observed the village and it was quite developed, like a small town almost. The streets inside were paved with stone and there was a shrine atop a hill where Sakura said she lived. And they were located in the Shinano province of japan at the Sengoku period.

"It's pretty peaceful here, but some asswipes will probably come and try to pillage the village. Well, I can experiment on my powers on them when they do come." He cracked his neck and felt the adrenaline kick in. Thinking that his fight or flight response was weirdly easy to access.

"Hmm, more things to think about later. 1st, I need to change my coins and jewelries for currency." He went to a merchant and exchanged his valuables, they were ridiculously high class, especially the gems. And he didn't have to worry of getting ripped off as Sakura introduced him and her family was the ruling family of this village basically.

He booked an inn and went outside for a bit, the warm summer winds washed over him while he was looking at the moon. "I guess I'll need to know more about myself. I did find an ID card in my inventory, maybe there will be more clues."

He started to dig inside his inventory and saw a section called mementos. He took a look, what caught his eye was a scrap book that had a picture of him in a school uniform. And he assumed was a group of friends. "I guess pink hair isn't quite rare? One of them in the picture has one too." He chuckled and opened it.

1st was when they were in the front gates of a school. He touched the picture as he got a lonely feeling when he reached the orange eyed red head. "Hmm, Himeko? A princess huh? I wonder who she is." He read the description down below. "Our 3rd year in high school. Elysia and Himeko visited, they were quite the unique individuals."

He started to browse and read all the pictures. What surprised him though is to see Elysia, Himeko, and A voluptuous woman with golden eyes cling to him.

It then clicked inside his mind. "What the? Do I have a harem or something?" He finished the scrap book and saw multiple women that he was with, and what surprised him the most is there was a pink haired woman with shaggy hair that looked identical to Sakura, even the name.

"I'm missing something here. But what is it? This isn't a coincidence." He digged deeper and then saw a picture of a group that was located in what was a ruined city, the white haired guy was holding a burning sword. He read about it, the sword was created by using the core of the 7th herrscher. Upon reading this, he experienced a migraine that felt like his head will explode.

"Damn... This is from the past, isn't it... Then just who is Yae? What happened to me and more importantly, them? This is all giving me a headache. I'll continue in rummaging later." He rubbed his temples and stood up, on his way to the inn. He saw a huge Sakura tree that was blooming even though it was summer and it just had a mysterious pull on him, like there was something there that he couldn't put his hand on.

He unconsciously went there and a shrine was built around it. Touching the trunk, he felt nostalgic. He sat on the base of it and leaned on the massive trunk, observing the flowers of it fall while being illuminated by moonlight. "Is this the tree where we hung out? Perhaps, or maybe not. But I feel comfortable here." He then felt something beneath the soil, resonating with the energy inside of him.

"Huh? That's weird. Should I take a look? Nobody's around right? They sleep pretty early at this time period." He looked around and tried to feel a presence, finding nothing. He dug the ground using his telekinesis, that was confirmed by him while travelling.

The resonance got stronger as he dug. And after 3 meters or so, he found a black egg like rock that looked just like where he hatched from. "There's 3 of them... Is there someone inside as well?" He knocked on it and the thing was solid. Putting it inside of his inventory, he went to the outskirts and tried to open it there.

"How will I even open this?" He thought of bludgeoning it with his strength but immediately discarded the idea as someone might be inside. He used his telekinesis to pry it open but the thing just won't budge.

"Damn, how did I even escape from this thing. It's hard as hell." He thought of ways to open the object. Even looking inside of his inventory for an egg cracking device, but there was none and he didn't want to use things there before it was safely tested.

He felt some kind of energy that was wrapping it, so he got an idea and injected his energy. Gulping it greedily, it started to vibrate, but he run out of gas after a few seconds and started to pant in exhaustion. "Tsk, so it's locked before I can put enough of my powers in it. I just hope this is a treasure or someone important is in here that won't kill me."

He returned them to his inventory and felt something lurking. He looked at it and the creature was bone white with glowing pink highlights, levitating in the air and spotted him. It flew quickly and was intent on ramming itself at him like a cannon.

His body moved quickly and caught it between his hands, he then squeezed the creature as it got crushed. "What the hell is thing? Is this the enemies here?" He observed it and there was a gnawing thought in his mind to bite on it. His instincts were flaring and he was struggling not to dig in on the creature, his eyes turned to slits and he dropped it on the ground.

"Uhhh, what was that..." He then picked it up again and looked at it more carefully, he couldn't keep his instincts at bay anymore. "Just one bite won't hurt right? Nothing ventured, nothing gained." He took a chunk of it and popped it in his mouth, biting on the thing like rock candy. But unfortunately it was bland as all hell and pretty chalky too.

"Ugh, this thing is like chalk or something." But his energy reserves started to rise a bit. Making his pupils dilate from the discovery. "Huh? So you're my ticket to unlocking those things. But I need an alternative in eating these."

He got an idea and crushed it into a small sphere with his powers. He then swallowed it whole like a pill. "Now what? Do I cultivate or something and try to make a breakthrough?" It was unnecessary though, as the dense pill got broken down immediately and he started to feel a little boost.

"Yosh, these things are pretty dangerous to common folk I assume. I'll take care of these things for the village and get some energy too. It's a win win in my book." He returned to his inn, satisfied that he now has a goal.

Inside a large room underground at a cathedral, a brown haired woman that was dressed like a nun opened her eyes wide. "Such a joyous occasion has transpired... Thousands of years I waited. And my prayers have been answered. Ein-sama... Aponia awaits your triumphant return." She shed tears and closed her eyes.

A bell was heard in the head of every official in the church, as the Archbishop. The leader of it all went to her room after a few minutes and groveled at her feet. "Mistress, what can this lowly one do for you?" He thought that something drastic has occured, as she hasn't called upon anyone in decades.

"The apostle has returned to this world once again. But I cannot find him, I felt his presence in the east. Locate him at all costs, that is your mission." Aponia spoke with enthusiasm, surprising him as she always talked in a soft and deadpan tone.

"Thy will shall be done my lady." He stood up while bowing deeply and went outside of the room. "Ahhh, a pity that I've only found Vill and Phyllis. There's rumors of the little bird in Shenzou, but I cannot get a grasp on her. No matter, everything is now in place. We've waited for centuries. It is only a matter of time before we reunite Ein-sama." She looked up and prayed sincerely, impatient for good news.

Thanks for reading guys, our nun is apparently behind the scenes in Shicksal. And this manhunt will cascade into something that will let the holy maiden rebel against the church. Ciao.
