2 Chapter 2: Endless Expanse
In a white space, without anything but our protagonist, he lays there unmoving. He slowly opens his eyes and he has no recollection of when he got there.
"Ugh, where the hell am I? Is this the hospital? Then, the EMS guys must have reached me in time. but, I don't particularly feel bad."
"Wait, why is there literally nothing here." He tried to look around, noticing he wasn't on a hospital bed and there's nothing but endless white space as far as the eye can see.
"Hmmm. Did I really die? Damn, I haven't even finished kimetsu's entertainment district arc. They were pretty banged up and Uzui even lost his arm. but now I won't even know what will happen next."
As he was talking to himself, a blurry silhouette came in front of him, startling the poor guy. "Wolfgang Schneider, you have understood that your life is now forfeit, pretty impressive rationality and calmness I see." It suddenly said with a gender neutral voice.
"Well, don't these things happen pretty much every time on those isekai novels and such? It's basically a cliche, pretty new one, nevertheless predictable. Besides, there was nothing really there for me in the world except my hobbies. which, makes me detached to life in general." he shrugs.
"I understand. then you probably already know how this will go down, do you not?"
"Yes, do you have a name sir/ma'am? I just want to call you something besides god or something along those lines. And do I go to heaven or hell?"
"Hmm, so be it, you can call me Genesis, young man. pretty refreshing if I must say besides being called god or ROB hahaha. And for your other query, yes and no. You see, you are a soul with no attachment to life, but still with immense will and thirst for knowledge. For interesting things of course."
"So how about I reincarnate you to a fictional world? But with only one wish. You have yearned for years to have an interesting life. I think you'd enjoy that, no?" Genesis said.
Wolfgang pondered for a bit, then said "Of course I would love to be in one, but just a question though. Why only one wish? And do I get to pick which world I would be in?"
"Good question my boy. It actually stems from your karma, as you humans say, no good or bad deed goes unpunished. Being a doctor naturally led to you saving a few hundred lives in your short career. And you didn't really do a bad job at it either, at least really trying to save people and sticking to your oath."
"I see, well I don't really half ass things when I do them, and I may be quite uncaring but when live are on the line, I might as well do my part decently of course."
Genesis laughed "A good mindset boy. Now, you can still relax in heaven and be on your way now. Reincarnation can be hard for you, especially because you are just a regular human. Going to a fictional world might not be for you."
"You have a point, especially on those crazy ass worlds like warhammer or something. But I would still like to reincarnate please, nothing ventured, nothing gained."
"Alright, unfortunately you can't pick the world you will be going to. You don't have the privilege to, simple as that You already have a wish after all. With restrictions naturally, or the will of the world shall smite you like a foreign body that is dangerous."
Wolfgang frowned at the god's statement "Ohhh. But can I at least not go to worlds like warhammer or those alike? It can be a dangerous world but not dead at birth danger."
The god pondered a few seconds at his words "Alright, because you were so calm and not annoying unlike others. I will give you a pass, I quite like people that are the 3 c's just like that guy Itachi that you like."
Chuckling at Genesis' words Wolfgang said "Well, I am quite lucky now aren't I. now letta rip Genesis. I want to know what the world is and then go on from there. Well, can I?"
"Yes I will let this roulette spin 1st, then we can choose your wish." Then the silhouette snapped its fingers and a circle roulette appeared. A moment later it spun quickly, making Wolfgang quite anxious as he cannot see the worlds for there are too many.
The roulette started to slow down and then it stopped at a picture of a girl with white hair and blue eyes. Wolfgang not knowing who that is or what the girl entails of the world just waits for the god to explain.
Genesis whistles as the roulette stops. "You will be sent to the world of honkai Wolfgang, congratulations." Wolfgang tilts his head as he doesn't know what fictional world that is.
"Uh, sorry but I don't really know that world. Can you please explain?" Wolfgang asked hoping to get more information.
The god laughed as he said "Now, now, That wouldn't be entertaining now would it? Besides, when you arrive at that world you will know a lot after a couple of years at most."
Wolfgang just silently contemplates and thought, 'I did ask to have worlds that aren't that dangerous. At least I would still have a wish, I better make this count then.'
"Alright, it seems you won't be giving me much information then." He sighs
Genesis: "Well I will give you an advise, make a wish to make your body be more pliable and have linear growth. After all, exponential growths in strength or abilities would have bad side effects, you might just explode hahahaha."
Wolfgang sweated at the god's words "Thanks for the advise. I've made a choice, can I be an infinitely adaptable being? Body, mind, soul and the like? After all it would cover everything but be at least hard to power up and be within the limits of the world for a very long time, until I become the apex that is."
"Hoho, a wise choice indeed. You are starting from the bottom up huh? Some reincarnators who chose that path like you became god like beings, even though a lot failed. When they succeeded, it was truly a spectacle. Alright I would send you on your way now then." The being snapped its fingers once again, then a crack in space opened and it ushered him to go inside.
Pointing at the portal "Go on now my boy, you will not feel it at 1st of course. And I have made you a simple status screen to quantify your progress, you are after all a man of science albeit a doctor. An inventory as well for a good luck charm, I will be watching you with great interest." Genesis said with what looks like a smile on its opaque appearance.
"Thank you for this opportunity, I will try not to disappoint." As Wolfgang walked to the portal with anxious steps, but with resolve and excitement.

(Now we will go to the honkai verse). I decided to make a simple system. sorry to disappoint but it only quantifies his stats and skills. I would be hard pressed to make a system that would be like the one at solo leveling or the like because our protag's wish simply won't mash well with that imo.
an Inventory won't be groundbreaking as well, I will only use it mostly for simple items like weapons and stim packs (for healing or something like that). The other things it would be just for the future I guess te he.
I would be filling some of the story that is unidentified because, honestly honkai's world is quite the doozy and there are a lot that we don't know. so please help me if there are inconsistencies I have overlooked and please give some comments on what maybe could have been more believable. After all I am quite passionate about this game, so this is kind of my Love letter for it. And I want it to be the best. ciao
