17 Chapter 17: Scattered

When the I heard the unnatural claps of thunder, the only conclusion would be a honkai beast attack. But emperor and judgement class only appears with the birth of a herrscher.

I quickly paled at the realization "Fuck! There's a honkai eruption here at Nagazora! Quickly, we must evacuate outside of the city! The government will be unloading some serious shit here after they know there's a herrscher here." I exclaimed as I get them out of their daze so we could evacuate.

As I opened the door, there was a suspicious man that was about to knock. I analyzed him quickly but I saw that he has an insignia of Fire moth. "You here for Mei or me?" I quickly realized that he was there to protect me or Mei so Fire moth can recruit either of us.

"Both, I see that you have some others with you." He quickly looked at our group. "No matter, we must evacuate quickly." He succinctly said and turned away to lead us.

Ein: "Come on let's go. This guy will help us get to a vehicle for evac. The city will be engulfed in hell fire, we must go!" We then followed him.

We arrived underground in a bunker with fortified walls. Must've protected our vehicle from the EMP, thank god. We then saw a VTOL and we boarded. "There will be no stops. we are going to a nearby base for further transport." Mei then quickly realized that her parents are still in the city. As she tried to argue, I nod at the man. He quickly shot her with sedatives. Kevin was going to raise a fuss but I quickly reprimanded him. "Kevin. The city is gonna get overrun almost immediately. There's no information coming from outside and inside the city." I shake my head.

Kevin grits his teeth and he knew that it was pointless. Doesn't make it hard though. Elysia then exclaimed while looking at the window "Guys! Look. This is awful." As we looked outside, hordes of seraph class honkai beasts accompanied by some templar class are flying around the city, ravaging everything in sight.

Everyone went quiet as we flew away. Letting us see Nagazora for the last time as it was being ravaged by hordes of honkai beasts. Making the mood inside quite somber. We're not too far out yet so I quickly scanned the vehicle for something useful in case of emergency. "Hey, you must have some equipment here in case of emergency right?" I asked the man driving.

"There's some simple honkai powered blasters and cold weapons at this compartment." He pushed a button and some rifles appeared, a one handed sword, spear, and broadsword. "This will be enough. Hey guys, pick up a rifle, I'll be using the melee weapons." I then strapped the broadsword on my back, and carried the spear and short-sword on my hands.

Then as I was thinking of a plan further out. The VTOL shook like a mother fucker. We were spiralling out of control and then the vehicle crashed on the ground. "Damn, you guys alright?" I was unharmed and quick on my feet. Thankfully, everybody is alright. It was a pretty solid vehicle.

Then we heard thuds outside. As we quickly got out of the thrashed aircraft, we saw a 3 meter tall white honkai beast with pink highlights, glowing like veins. It was menacing, as it had a bone white lance on its right and a huge tower shield on its left. (pic here)

My pupils dilated, my heart was pumping to the max, my muscles twitched and bulged, engorged with blood as I quickly think of what to do. The agent was injured and his leg got injured, basically crossing him out of this inevitable fight. I managed to see a humvee with what I recognized was powered with a diesel engine. "KEVIN, SU! Carry Mei and the agent quickly! Himeko knows how to hotwire and drive! Go to that humvee and get to the base!"

I then tensed and held my spear, putting the other 2 weapons in my inventory. I then tensed my leg and dashed with so much force the concrete underneath cracked. I arrived in a split second and stabbed towards its lone glowing eye thingy. But it quickly raised its kite shield and I only dented its shield.

Hard! I then quickly sidestepped a stab from its lance. The ground near the impact almost exploded from the force. "I can't parry or block anything from this guy, my weapons will break then I'll be sent flying." I then saw my group still looking at me with wide eyes and mouth agape.

"What the fuck are you guys looking at! Go!" As I evaded a deceptively quick charge and it decimated the wall behind me like wet tissue paper.

Kevin: "We won't go without you! We can give fire support!"

Himeko punched Kevin on the face "Dumbass! What if it then targets us? Believe in Ein, we must go!" She then pulled Elysia and Eden with her to the car.

Eden tried to slip out but Elysia slapped her. "You have to believe in him, or we will all die here. Can't you see? He can handle it. We will see him again."

As the templar faced Ein again he quickly tried to stab what he assumed was a joint on its legs. The blow struck true and he back stepped immediately, analyzing if it reduces its mobility. It didn't as it started to float and quickly flew and tried to skewer him. He rolled to the side, evading its lance. "Of course it can fly."

The beast was relentless, trying to turn him into paste so it can dispose his companions as they are now just a small dot in the horizon.

"Damn, I'm not even sure if cutting off its head or attacking the obvious weak spot will kill it."

He then stabbed its left shoulder to try and disable the shield. It can't move its shield anymore but it was still held in front of it.

"I need to bait it to show its back." He backed off and waited in front of a wall. It charged at the seemingly trapped human thrusting its lance. Avoiding the attack, Ein side stepped with his strong legs and with the small window of opportunity, using inhuman speed, quickly swapped his spear for the broadsword. He slashed at its thin waist with all his might and it got sliced in half.

Quickly swinging again from a diagonal, he sliced off its lance arm. He swapped with the spear again and backed off, waiting to see if its still alive. It turned towards him with its glowing singular eye. He was having none of it as he quickly threw the spear like a javelin, piercing its small head and then, it lost its glow. He went to its blind side and slashed with his broadsword another time, splitting its torso

"Don't want to leave this thing alive, might just come back to bite me in the ass." He then stored it in his inventory, signifying its death.

"Hah, Good thing I that VTOL have weapons, or I would need to steer this thing away from the group. And running around with a honkai beast on my tail is not a good idea."

He hid in a building quickly, deciding where he would go to next. As he was thinking, he saw a swarm of seraph class honkai beasts flying to somewhere.

"There's not a soul here in this area. Maybe they're migrating to another populated area."

He was about to dismiss it but he saw where they were flying to.

"They're going to my old city." He gasped and his blood ran cold. "Nearby cities are just starting to know the eruption! These fuckers will arrive quickly because they're flying!"

He then exited the building quickly and ran like the wind, following the honkai beasts to his home city.

Thanks for reading guys! I used the templar that are the size like in will of the honkai. Those guys are actual beasts after all, normally they stand 4 stories high. It sent a valkyrie flying like a bullet through multiple buildings with a single strike and shockwaves from its lance can decimate nearby buildings.
