Chapter 168: Kanchou's Little Adventure
After Fu Hua's little incident, Aesir got a new occupant and she was a little too overzealous for the former. Especially because the curious little herrscher was basically her with a different personality, driving her crazy.
"Kukuku~ I come on, old timer! Let's fight! Let's see who's better than us. Or are you too scared?" Hua was taunting her and she groaned. They've already fought multiple times and their scores were tied 5-5. And Hua was still improving leaps and bounds, maturing in combat as she compartmentalizes her memories in the arts of fighting.
"Hah, how many times have I told you? If you're bored, go and do something productive like read or something." Fu Hua chided her and Hua clicked her tongue.
"Read? Nobody's got time for that! And you've read tons of books already, it's all in my head you boomer. I mean, who the hell reads the atlas for fun in this day and age?" Hua snorted and she got exposed, as Fu Hua doesn't have many hobbies besides training and playing the Chinese flute, dizi.
"She's got you there Fu Hua. Damn, your little sister is sassy." Kevin commented and the other chasers chuckled at their dynamic.
"S-shut up! I haven't had any luck in finding hobbies okay?" Fu Hua pouted. She was too focused on the job for thousands of years. Project Ember was the majority of her life and training too.
"Well, how about you ask Ein? He has an answer for a lot of things, maybe he could give you a nice hobby?" Eden said and Fu Hua nodded, thinking that if she is always busy at her new hobby, then Hua won't bother her.
She then immediately went to Ein and asked him about it. "A hobby huh? Well, you're a calm individual and likes the outdoors. How about fishing? Photography or gardening too, Reanna can help you with it as well. Maybe when you get good, raise a bonsai?" He suggested and she thought those were nice.
But Hua caught up to her and kicked the door down. "Ein-nii! She doesn't want to fight me! Can you let us duke it out? Please?" Hua begged, she became a maniac that always wanted to fight. Unfortunately getting the wrong thing from Fu Hua's martial discipline.
"Hmmm, how about I make you do something even better? I want you to go on an adventure, find this thing and I'll reward you with all you can eat noodles." He showed her a little statue of herself that was in a cool pose. He then gave her a paper with hints to find it, she had stars in her eyes and immediately left after she hugged him.
"Wow, she's persistent... You can even handle her like a fiddle." Fu Hua knew he could do it, but was still impressed nevertheless.
He shrugged and gave a wry smile. "I've been with kids a lot, they just need some stimulation. Don't worry, she'll calm down a lot when her memories shape her. But she would still be hyper, so prepare yourself." He chuckled and Fu Hua sighed.

At Schicksal HQ, Tilie calmed down a bit and was thinking heavily on the power of Ein's squad. "They did not get that powerful just for the sake of it. There must be a purpose." She got anxious, thinking that when they do use their overwhelming might. Their clash would spell the apocalypse, and humanity will not have a role in it at all.
She bit her nails and was trembling. "Time is running out, if they showed their prowess to the whole world. Then the will of the honkai must know their existence by now. I must try to use the 2nd key now. But who can use it? Bianka and Rita will never do it. And I can't travel to bubble universes, Schicksal will be defenseless." Tilie agonized and Amber came in with perfect news.
"Lady Ottilie, perhaps this individual can help you?" Amber gave her a file and it was Kanchou's. "Tons of honkai adaptability, abover average intelligence, and... She can use divine keys?" Tilie was surprised, as the report told her that the woman could use the Oath of Judah. Kanchou, when applying. Took Judah out of Theresa's hands and used it to deploy an anti-honkai field effortlessly.
"S-she's perfect, but alas. She is in St. Freya, Amber... We cannot touch her, unless. Send her a letter, we may not be able to order her to do things. But suggesting them is fine." Tilie started writing and offered Kanchou an adventure that was out of this world, literally.

"Hmm? A message from the overseer of Schicksal?" Kanchou was relaxing in the bridge of Hyperion as she really liked the ship. Imagining herself as the captain whenever Ein wasn't there and leasing Valkyries to victory.
"Let's see, she wants me to use the 2nd key to travel to other bubble universes... And find a woman that needs saving." Kanchou got interested immediately and looked up the database of Hyperion to know what the 2nd key really was. She then got the detailed information as all the divine keys' information was at the Hyperion.
"I see, it seems that Su-san used it to travel in the sea of quanta. This seems like an adventure worth travelling for!" Kanchou got excited and decided to accept the mission. But she suddenly stopped in her tracks as she was just the quartermaster and she still had to ask for permission from the captain.
"Ein-san is pretty chill, he'll probably accept it without much trouble." She shrugged and called him. She then told him about it all, Ein replied that Kanchou should stay still and he would come immediately.
"Huh, weird. Why does he need to come by? Oh well, nothing bad will happen anyway if he comes." She relaxed once again and swung her legs back and forth excitedly.

At Yellowstone, Anti-Entropy has set up an array of interceptors with the help of the scientists along with Adelheid's new powers. And Adelheid just received something really interesting that came from Schicksal.
"Oh my god... The captain verse is real here? And she just got the message from the blonde to go to the bubble universe where Sanguine Nights happen!" Adelheid shouted, surprising Tesla that was helping her with intercepting messages.
"What? What!? Is there something that the damned overseer is planning for? Come on then, we need to stop it immediately. Hua-san called us out earlier and it got me thinking, we really are doing a bad job." Tesla frowned and Adelheid ignored her, using the gem of conquest to think really fast on how to board the Hyperion.
Adelheid started mumbling on the side and Tesla noticed her. "What's the problem Addy? Are you alright?" Tesla was concerned as she thought that the news was more severe than ever.
"I don't need it... I... I don't need to go to bubble universes with Kanchou. Yes, it would just be a waste of time, I... I already know what's going to happen anyway." Adelheid talked to herself and Tesla raised a brow at what she's doing.
"Uhhh? Addy? Adelheid Schariac, come back to me girl. What's happening? What is it that you don't need? You're kinda creeping me out." Tesla anxiously asked and was getting more unsettled by the minute.
"Kanchou will just be going on an adventure, seeing parallel versions of them. Yes, it won't be really fun anyway..." She started hallucinating about Kallen and Theresa in that bubble universe.
"I don't need it." The visions getting more real, Theresa in a red and black dress wielding two swords. "Oh yeah~ I don't need it..." Then, Kallen who is a gunslinger there and wields machine guns and rockets going Hasta La vista. "I don't need it..."
Tesla just stared at her and slowly backed off. And the final nail in the coffin is Himeko when she was 18. Her in a ponytail and her outfit showing her little mole on her right breast that was hot as hell. "I NEED IT!" Adelheid then ran around, not knowing what to do, scaring the living shit out of Tesla.
"Calm down Adelheid! What the hell's wrong with you!?" Tesla shouted at her that was rampaging and the others showed up, as they heard Adelheid screaming like a banshee.
Adelheid was panting and sweating like a parched man in a dessert. "I need to get to the Hyperion! Quickly! Kanchou will activate the 2nd key without knowing and they'll go to Sanguine Nights!" Adelheid shouted like a madman that was screaming about the doomsday coming.
"W-what? Why'd you need to go to the Hyperion?" Lieserl asked, but she contacted Ein nonetheless as he was the captain of the vessel.
"No time for explanations! I need to go there right now!" Adelheid was about to launch herself away at the window. But Ein answered the call and Adelheid gained her wits, remembering that he owned Hyperion.
"Yo, Lieserl. What's this call about?" He greeted, Adelheid then immediately went to Lieserl's face and swapped with her. "Ein-san! I need to go to the Hyperion! Something important is going to happen!" She shouted out in a panic, desperate to get on.
"Woah, calm down there missy. And why? Is this about the 2nd key? If so, I'm on the way to St. Freya, and my quartermaster Kanchou would use it for some mission that Tilie commissioned her to do." Ein answered and Adelheid thought it was perfect.
"I'll be on the way! Wait for me okay!?" Adelheid used her advanced movement skill and turned into lightning. Arriving almost immediately at St. Freya.
"Sheesh, what was happening to Adelheid?" Emma was shocked and didn't know what got her panties in a twist. "I mean, Adelheid goes crazy sometimes. But this is the worst we've ever seen her." Edison got thinking, as Adelheid would always get excited whenever she sees Rita or Ragna, especially when they were wearing their maid clothes.
"Hah, let's just let her be. I think this is pretty big, it also concerns the 2nd key. And the more information we have about it, the better. She can take care of herself. She can beat me for years now, bishop Apocalypse won't have a chance against her if she doesn't have a secret weapon on her." Welt shrugged and they all nodded. Schrodinger didn't really care and just continued gaming.

At Hyperion, Ein arrived and was greeted by Kanchou. "Hi Captain! So, do you agree and I can undergo this commission from Schicksal?" She excitedly greeted and asked.
"Umu, but it won't be interesting with just you there." He smirked and a thunderclap resounded at St. Freya, alerting everyone as the Valkyries immediately got battle ready. Thinking that Mei lost control of the core of thunder. Himeko even brandished Laevatein and was ready to cause Ragnarok as it startled her. Relaxing at the teacher's lounge with a glass of wine on hand, receiving some influence from Eden.
But they didn't expect what came next and Adelheid appeared after the dust settled. "Ein-san! Where are you? Come on, let's go!" Adelheid looked for him and Ein sighed, wondering why she was so excited.
"Come on, Kanchou. And don't think that I accept just yet. You need to earn it~" He gave a sly smile and Kanchou pumped her fist, not really knowing what he'll make her do. But she would do it for the sake of adventure.
They then went to the overzealous Adelheid and Ein flicked her on the forehead. "What are you doing Addy? You're just telling Tilie that you're here at St. Freya if Mei wasn't here, good thing we can just hide it as a random experiment or Mei losing control of the core." He sighed at her antics, recognizing that look on her face. It was the face of a hardcore otaku going to Japan for the first time in their life for Comiket.
"I... I can't help it Ein-san, we're going to bubble universes you know!?" She hummed and bobbed her head left and right with a pleasant smile on her face. 'Kukuku, I can at least get Theresa and Kallen in that universe... Maybe Himeko-san too, ahhhh~ Himeko-san that just turned 18. What a delicious treat.' Adelheid drooled and he flicked her on the forehead again.
"Why do you think I'll let you in on the commission? Hmmm?" He dumped cold water on her burning passion and Adelheid was so shocked, it was like her soul left her body and turned lifeless in an instant.
"You got to earn it like Kanchou over here as well. And what I want is..." He squinted his eyes and upped the intense atmosphere, making Kanchou and Adelheid gulp at the suspense.
"Is for you and Kanchou to wear these and ask cutely, of course with a nya." He gave them cat ears that looked realistic as hell and a fluffy tail.
"Done!" Adelheid immediately wore it and Kanchou reluctantly put it on. He then put collars on them and Adelheid was doing breathing exercises to bring out her inner cat girl. While Kanchou blushed profusely as she fidgeted. Adelheid then instructed her and looked at her in the eyes.
"Okay, 3, 2, 1, action!" A studio suddenly appeared and the peanut gallery deadpanned at his antics.
"Goshujin-sama nya~ Can we come with nya? We promise we'll be good nya~" Adelheid acted perfectly while Kanchou said the lines while fidgeting, but it was cute so he gave a pass.
"Ohhh? It seems you've practiced that before huh?" He gave a knowing smile and Adelheid blushed like a tomato. 'This is to go to that bubble universe! Him knowing my dark past is nothing!' Adelheid convinced herself.
"Yosh, let's go! The 2nd key is already here, but let's ask who wants to go too." He gathered everyone and the students wanted to go on an adventure. While the adults didn't really want to, having to do their sad little work. Himeko wanted to relax as she was having headaches trying to teach Kiana.
"Okay then, Kanchou. You're going to be the captain of this operation, Tilie asked for you anyways." He patted her head and she was touched. She then pumped her fist and gave a beaming smile.
"Un! Don't worry, captain Ein! I'll lead this operation perfectly!" They then went to the 2nd key and she started operating the ship. But she forgot to check Hyperion's database about the key and accidentally activated it without a set destination in mind.
