"Bold claim Adelheid. Did you know? Li Sushang can kick your ass to sunday when she was 18? You're what now, 31? Sushang could manifest a blade mantra when she was 16 without much external help. She might have monstrous talent, but she was a happy go lucky girl that didn't really train for herself. And she would beat your ass with just pure skill." Ein raised a brow at Adelheid and hit her where it hurt.

"I... I know you're disappointed in us. But can you give me a chance? Please! I can't afford to be this incompetent at the coming years... I can't lose any more of them." Adelheid begged and bowed her head deeply.

"You know, you had years to not be like that Adelheid. Sushang gave you guys the most solid foundation. But you didn't capitalize on it. Did you even try your hardest?" Ein scoffed and Adelheid had an outburst.

"I've tried! I've fought for years in that dungeon to become the best! I've bled, received life threatening injuries, fought everything I could! I just don't have the talent..." She said as she got depressed.

"Did you really? Was your every waking hour for training? Whenever you walked, did all your muscles tear? Whenever you fought, did your bones turn to dust? When you woke up, did you experience all of that for years upon years at a time? I don't think so. Sushang did all of that for hundreds of years to ascend as a human that can fight gods with her bare hands. That didn't need talent, it needed grit. And you lacked that, now you reap what you sow."

Adelheid didn't know Sushang's full training regimen and she honestly was horrified to even imagine going through that.

"She lived in enormous pain that could break even the most hardiest men in just a matter of hours. You can even say that it was literal hell, but her will was unbreakable. Her determination, rock solid. Only for a single goal, to be the strongest 2nd only to me. If you look at it, you should've had more motivation than her." Ein explained and Adelheid was silent.

"Hah, you're not incompetent Adelheid. You chose to be weak, there's always a choice. You just think there aren't, there's no such thing as impossible in this world. And you should know that."

Adelheid was ashamed and she started to shed tears. Thinking that if she only did more, then Kiana wouldn't have died and Cecilia wouldn't be so depressed. And Siegfried was drinking himself unconscious. While Theresa couldn't run the school properly and squad snowwolf had to help her along with Himeko.

"T-then what should I do? I'm lost, I don't know what to do..." Adelheid said somberly and Ein sighed again.

"Don't ask me, you're 31 for god's sake. And we're not even adding your other age. For all I know, you could be pushing 100 now. What happened? Why are you still like a teen? It would be fine if you really needed some. Like a child that doesn't know better. But even disabled people find ways to get through their problems." Ein shot her down again and Addy was at her wit's end.

"How about we do it like this? I'll lend you something. But if I don't like what I see what you do with it, then I'll take it back." He took out the gem of desire and plunged his hand that was holding the gem inside of her chest as she gasped.

"W-what was that?" Adelheid didn't see it, but she suddenly felt a burst of honkai energy pouring into her like a broken dam. The herrscher persona didn't stand a chance and Adelheid couldn't even hear or feel her.

"It was a herrscher core. You should already know what I want Addy, I can take that back anytime. It might be a day later, a week, a month. You should strive, I don't give 2nd chances Adelheid." He gestured for her to go and Adelheid groveled.

"Thank you... I won't disappoint again, I promise on my life." Addy was filled with gratitude and her pride was nonexistent. As a herrscher core was the perfect catalyst for her.

"You better, or I will let Sushang train you like I did, her. And for slackers like you, you'd have wished you were never born." He gave her an ultimatum and Adelheid nodded slowly. Internalizing her situation.

She then left with newfound powers and determination. Not wanting to be pathetic anymore.
