Chapter 13: Coincidence?
A good few years have passed. Me and the boys have been hanging out and doing our thing. At first, seeing Kevin twitch at the ground after grueling training was pretty hilarious. But, he never quit and did it pretty religiously. I guess he has the right amount of motivation huh? Meanwhile Su, He's pretty eager to learn too, he always asks me to send him more medical texts. Trying to have as much knowledge as possible. I was happy to help them, seeing as they are passionate and don't half ass things. Mei has been studying hard as well, I even thought She'll read herself to death by the rate she was burning off the books I sent her digitally. I was visiting her at least once a month, although she told me that I could visit less. Probably thinking I was busy, I quickly rebutted of course. When we hang it's already short, might as well keep the status quo.
Mom did do me kinda dirty though, said that I'm going to middle school and it's final. Well, I enrolled in my boys' school, better with companions than being swarmed to death by fan girls or something. I shudder when those girls are being kinda creepy. I can't really say that this was unexpected. When we started middle school, I was already 6 foot tall. With flowing luscious silver locks reaching my lower back, my piercing eyes seemed to be loved by the girls, and I was a beast in sports meets and the like.
Ha! When I went home with tons of chocolate, mom almost had a stroke. Yelling obscenities at the sky, saying that hussies were starting to put their grubby little hands on me. Mom is kinda crazy really, well when you're a genius like on her level they really do have some quirks sometimes.
Kevin and Su had fan clubs too. I didn't know those can really exist, Seeing Su's twitching eyebrows everytime we were being stalked was pretty amusing. Kevin though just takes it all in stride. He's less excitable now and more like confident, still passionate though. Now he's in the track club and been preparing for when high school comes to get scouted and be a pro. I believe he can do it though, he can run sub 5 second dashes for 50 meters now, while sub 9 in 100 meters.
We were currently 3rd years now, eventually the talk about what high school we would enrol in came up.
Kevin: "Hey guys, I think I'd like to go to a prestigious school using my scholarship, any advice though?" Asking us for opinions.
Su: "Hm, graduation is near too. I'd like to continue my studies in a good school too, for a better resume." He ponders.
Ein: "How about a school in Nagazora? The city is teeming with good schools, it's a huge metropolis after all."
Nagazora is a big city, and of course there would be tons of school there. Mei will be attending Senba Academy, a prestigious school that has centuries of history and culture. I think that school fits the bill for Kevin and Su. Mei will also be there, it would be a pretty ideal place to enrol for sure.
As I finished weighing different options I told them about Senba Academy. "Kevin, Su, Senba will be a perfect choice in my opinion. The curriculum is just right, you can go to college there too, overall a good school. So how about it? You guys agree?"
Kevin: "Oh, that one huh? I agree, it is one of the best schools out there. Pretty obvious already just based on the passing rate to get in. They also accept student athletes there, I'm sure I'll get in because of my records and above average grades." Excited with the thought of getting closer to his goal.
Su: "Good idea Ein, my parents also studied there, and we can pick specialty classes that can be added to our curriculum too, so college won't be as hard and confusing. I'd get training in a hospital early too, with their affiliated institutions." Su agreed quickly.
Ein: "Umu, you guys go on and tell your parents. We'll be going to Nagazora then. Their dorms are also pretty good, one student gets a room by themselves. They are huge after all, and as Kevin said, students aren't that many."
Quickly saying our goodbyes and dispersing. I thought that I should go and tell my parents my decision too. They'll be happy I'll be going to school with my friends.
At home, I told my parents that I'd be studying in Nagazora. They quickly agreed.
Frey: "Okay honey, you do you. We trust you after all, you're smart and you can take care of yourself already. Be good though, and don't get too full of yourself." She gave me a smile.
Eric: "Hah, my little man grew up too quickly. Moving out of the house now already, it's a pretty good school son. We give you our permission, and one more thing. We're proud of you!" He said and we got into a hug.
Ein: "Thanks mom, dad. Love you guys, don't worry though. I'll call frequently."

As me, Kevin, and Su took the train to Nagazora. I informed Mei that I made 2 more friends back in our city. This will increase her surprise fo sho.
As the opening ceremony starts, I quickly survey the surrounding. Looking for a purple haired girl. Using my enhanced sight and mental faculties, I found her near the front row.
"Kevin, Sue, come on and let's get a seat follow me." I tilted my face to the side so Mei won't identify me too quickly. Now we wait.

Mei Pov:
I sat and waited for the opening ceremony to start. This won't take too long, I'm quite interested on the special sub classes that will specialize upon a certain subject. Naturally I picked one for researchers.
And as it was about to start, I saw long silver hair in front of me. I silently thought about Einheri. I wish we could hang out more often I sigh mentally. It would be much more fun if we go to Fire moth together immediately.
He didn't tell me what school he'll be going to. Cheeky bastard, this guy in front of me just might be him. Shaking my head, I focus on the podium once more. That's pretty far fetched, I'll just study hard and wait out the days. It's just a few more years anyway, I thought.
After the ceremony, I stood up and quickly went to my assigned class. I sat on the front row, took a book from my bag and started reading.
As the class filled up, the professor arrived and is now introducing himself. The standard really. He also told us to give a basic introduction about ourselves. Ugh, I don't like that, I don't really care about my classmates as talking to them won't really be productive or anything. Hah might as well, not getting along with them would give me a headache anyway when we do group activities and research.
The class introduced themselves one by one starting from the rear, I didn't really look I can just memorize the class register.
Then a deep voice that sounded familiar spoke. "Yo, my name is Einheri. You guys can call me Ein, I like research and to exercise. Nice to meet you."
I was stunned for a second, before I slowly craned my head towards the back. There he was, looking right at me, giving a cheeky smirk. This bastard! He was coming to Nagazora! He'll surely be getting his just desserts after classes.
But thinking that he's here now. I guess there will be a person that understands me nearby again, I smile, pondering about a fun high school life just like the old days.

Me and the boys lazily walk to our class.
Finally arriving there we then looked around and saw that the back is empty. So we silently walked to the end or else people might snatch em up.
Silently waiting. The teacher arrived and did the usual, as he told us to introduce ourselves I smirked. Hehehe you're in for a surprise Mei-chan. The teach even wanted the back to introduce 1st, just perfect.
As I introduce myself, I saw that she suddenly froze, then slowly looking towards me I gave her a shit eating grin. Hehe look at that face, I wish I could've captured that. She was absolutely stunned, then she frowned deeply immediately. Ooh, she's angry, I wish I can distract her with some books or something, I chuckle.
This should be fun, after I introduce Kevin and Su, I hope we'll get along. Well, Su is pretty calm and intelligent. Mei will like him for sure, Kevin though, might just use a lil charm on her and she'll warm up eventually.
