Chapter 123: Siegfried Kaslana
Two of squad Snowwolf's members are inside a truck with Cecilia. They leaked that they are transporting a weapon called a herrscher killer in the Danish borders.
Patricia Highsmith and Cheng Lixue. A-rank valkyries that are a part of squad Snowwolf. "Pwah, honkai beer is awesome! I can't survive without it." Patricia glugged a can of beer infused with honkai, while Cheng sighed. "You're not supposed to be drinking at a mission Highsmith." She chided her. (pics)
Cheng was a stickler for rules. Being raised by Hua and all. She is the last student of the school of Taixuan. Her parents died when she was young and Hua took her in.
"Oh come on, it's not like I'll get drunk. We're almost done with the delivery, the overseer's favorite valkyrie is also here with us. You don't see that everyday." Patricia looked at Cecilia that was meditating at the distance.
"True, this mission looks rather simple. We only need to deliver the weapon to the designated location." Cheng crossed her arms and thought it was too easy.
"Yeah! We also have 3 A-rankers with us to see this mission through. And lady Schariac isn't just a simple A-ranker too. You don't see the overseer's chosen paladins often." Patricia thought the weapon they were handling was really high profile.
Cecilia noticed that something was awry and opened her eyes. Their truck then started to float in the air. "What the hell!?" Patricia couldn't get her footing in time due to not being fully sober.
"We're under attack! Prepare yourselves!" Cheng got into position with Cecilia and the door of the truck opened, they then got out of the vehicle, but Patricia stumbled and crashed down on to the pavement. "Ugh, I might've drank too much."
They then saw a man standing on the truck. Holding the weapon they were about to deliver, a dark looking cube.
"Who are you!? Identify yourself and turn yourself in!" Cheng pointed her weapon at him and the man simply looked at them.
"So this is the herrscher killer our intel talked about? There's nothing inside, we've been had." Joachim crushed the cube and it turned into dust. (pic)
"Okay, you wanna play rough!? Say hello to my little friend!" Patricia brandished a honkai powered minigun, raining bullets on Joachim that was now called Welt Young.
Cheng also maneuvered herself to Welt's back. But he took out the star of Eden and made the bullets and Cheng stay in place.
"We're immobilized lady Schariac, it's all you!" Cheng shouted and Cecilia opened the 3 gates. Immediately going for Welt that was floating in the air.
'Impressive valkyries, your coordination is nearly flawless.' They then fought for a bit, but of course. Cecilia would inevitably lose.

At the highway the others fought on. There was a crusher that roamed. "Hey big guy, you're going to human turf." Siegfried had a baseball bat on him and looked at the huge crusher without fear. (pic)
"Worse, you're occupying a major highway! We can't let a honkai beast block incoming traffic or upset the people." He brandished his bat.
"And you've been a really naughty brat. You're a big problem to the towns here nearby. Time to show you some ninja skills and off you for good!" He then whacked it until it finally died.
"Heh, easy money. Good thing I got to it before Schicksal did. I heard a super hot lady placed the mark hehe~ Maybe the ninja would get a date with her and..." Before he could finish his monologue, he heard an explosion from the distance.
"Is that an explosion? That sounded pretty far off. What's happening over there? And what's that thing in the sky... You can't be serious!? It's a person falling!" He immediately catched the woman and he successfully did so.
"Ugh, that hurt. Sheesh, where did this lady come from? Hey missy, you alright? Hey, can you hear me!?" He tried waking her up, but she was unconscious.

"The box is empty, it doesn't have anything inside it. It must have been fake intel that was designed to throw us off." Joachim looked at the unconscious valkyries and Lieserl observed his condition.
"I see blood, are you okay?" He shook his head and looked at his glove that had some blood on it. "It's from the silver haired girl. We must find her. I think she would lead us to this so called herrscher killer." He took off his glove and saw that the blood was burning his hand.

It was early in the morning and Siegfried took Cecilia to her home. While Adelheid was looking at them from a faraway building. Narrowing her eyes at Siegfried like a hawk. "You touch her when she's asleep, and you get the lance Ziggy." She held abyss flower and was ready to bust open the apartment at a moment's notice.
"Oh man, what was I thinking. Bringing her home, she's wearing a Schicksal battle suit. But I can't just leave her there, a true ninja would never do such a thing." He even cooked some fish soup with a whole fish on it.
Cecilia then started to stir and she woke up. "Ugh, where am I?" She looked at the unfamiliar ceiling and instinctively looked for Adelheid.
"Uhh, yeah. You're in my home. You were hurt pretty badly last night, so I carried you home. Uhh, don't worry I'm not a bad guy." Siegfried explained and Cecilia observed him.
"My name is Siegfried, you can call me Ziggy! I'm a super ninj. I mean, a detective that helps purge the honkai here." He then smiled wryly and thought his introduction was lame.
"Oh yeah, you must be hungry right? Here, it's fish soup. Made it myself!" He gave the bowl of soup to Cecilia. "Thank you sir Siegfried." She then started to taste it. But it was sour and cold. But she finished it nonetheless.
'Woah, she really trusts me and my cooking huh? Even I have trouble downing that.' "No problem, just call me Ziggy. So? What happened last night? You fell out of the sky you know? And who are you anyway?" He asked and Cecilia forgot she hasn't introduced herself.
"I'm sorry, I am Cecilia. And last night... I can't tell you about it. Cheng, Pat. I hope you guys are okay." She worried about her team and Siegfried nodded in understanding at her duties.
"Don't worry Cecilia, you don't have to tell me anything if you don't want to. You can focus on getting better, my place is super safe." He turned his back on her.
"I'm sorry sir Sieg, I mean Ziggy. You are kind, thank you for the hospitality, but I must go back to the base." She started to stand up.
'So you put your mission above your own life huh?' "I hate it when people do that. Sheesh, let's go then. We have a change of plans."
He looked at her and sighed. "I'll give you a ride to your base Cecilia, you're wounded and you're out of cash. You'll have trouble getting around." He gave a thumbs up and winked.
"I don't want to trouble you any more sir Ziggy." She didn't want to give him problems if he gets on Schicksal's radar.
"Don't worry, I'm a private detective. We also do escort missions. Plus, I really want to see you back to base so your boss over there would pay me for all the things I did for you." He said with confidence.
'Oh my, he doesn't know who he's dealing with does he?' Cecilia thought of Siegfried hassling the overseer for cash. And that would not end well.
"Yeah, private detectives don't work for free you know? This ninja better get paid or you won't be coming back to base." He smiled and Cecilia thought he really didn't knew what he's dealing with.
"Fine sir Ziggy. But do you know where my base is?" She asked and surprisingly, he nodded.

"Sir Ziggy told me to wear this, but I've never worn a civvy dress before. Well, my battle suit would attract attention and the attackers might identify me easier. I feel so naked. Why would people not wear protective clothing anyway?" She naively thought as she has never left HQ before.
She then looked at the mirror. Her hair was long and easily identifiable, so she cut it short and then went outside to meet with Siegfried again.
"Sorry for the long wait sir Ziggy, I'm all set." She ran to him and he was waiting in front of his motorcycle.
"Woah, Cecilia. What did you do to your hair?" he looked at her and was stunned. "It looks weird right? I decided to cut it short so my hair won't attract unwanted attention." She said shyly.
"No, your hair looks really fine Cecilia. Let's get out of here, the ride to Austria would be pretty long." He pulled her to the motorcycle and they quickly rode it.
"Woah, look at the town Ziggy I've never seen a busy town like this before." Cecilia observed the town and all the people that were in the streets.
"Hey, do you see that cute yellow bunny? Do they sell that bunny over there?" Cecilia saw a sign which says homu burger.
"Uhh, that's a homu. And they sell homu themed burgers Cecilia." He said to her and thought she lacks a little common sense.
"Haha, that's so funny Ziggy. You know, I've never left HQ on my own. It was always at destroyed towns and areas. Or facilities we own. And my sister has been so busy that we couldn't hang out anymore." Cecilia said somberly.
She remembered that Adelheid was now an S-rank valkyrie and handled most of the load of being a paladin. She was barely at home too.
Siegfried looked at her sad gesture and thought of something to cheer her up. "I've got an idea Cecilia. Why don't we stay here for a day and I'll take you around?" He tried, but Cecilia refused.
"I can't sir Ziggy. I must go back to HQ ASAP. I'm still on a mission." Siegfried frowned at her words.
'She's just like a caged little bird that has never seen the outside world before.' He thought of his time in the Kaslana house where he was just inside the estate all the time.
'Well, I guess it's time for me to pull off a super Arahato ninja move.' He snapped his brake handle and Cecilia looked at what happened.
"Holy crap, my brake handle snapped. I got to tow it to the shop, I hope it doesn't take too long. I'm afraid we have to delay your return to the base." He awkwardly scratched his head and hoped it would work.
"It's okay sir Ziggy. I'm sorry about your bike." Cecilia, being a pure soul and naive. Thought it really did break on its own.
"Don't worry, there's plenty of rooms in this town. See anything you like? We have a couple of hours to look around." He smiled at her and they roamed around town.
And inside a building. Joachim and Einstein was observing their intended target. "There she is, target found. We have her." Joachim said and Lieserl just chewed on her piece of gum.
Ein then appeared behind them and put his hand over their shoulders. "Hoh, it seems we have a couple of stalkers over here huh?" He whispered to them, almost giving them a heart attack.
"Kyaa! Ein-nii!? W-what the hell are you doing here?" Lieserl screamed and fell down on her butt. While Joachim thought they were under attack and was about to use star of Eden.
"Ein-nii... You got to stop that bad habit of yours..." Joachim deadpanned at him and started to do breathing exercises to calm himself down.
"Joachim, you've got to stop calling me that. You're a grown ass man now, it's honestly creepy. It's okay if you're as cute as Lieserl here." He propped up Einstein and sat down on a chair, hugging her like a plushie in front of him.
Joachim flinched as he looked older than even Ein. He hasn't aged past 30, but he still looked older than him. "A-alright..." He got depressed because Ein called him creepy.
"So, you're interested in other people's love affairs now Lieserl, hmmm?" Ein asked and gave her a small peck on her lips.
She blushed and pouted at him. "Hmph, we're on a mission Ein-nii. Don't twist it to your own advantage. I demand another for your false claims." Lieserl leaned on to him and wanted to be spoiled.
"There's no helping it then. I've spoiled you girls rotten." He kissed her again and Joachim awkwardly watched. "How are you and Tesla by the way Joachim, she's got the hots for you you know? I didn't raise no pussy, take her tsundere ass and spank it. She's submissive under her prickly personality." He shrugged and Joachim choked on his saliva.
"Ein-nii. Nancy, Erwin, and Emma told me to say hi when you would inevitably appear like this and scare the crap out of us." Lieserl told him that the others missed him.
"Well, I just visited them. You girls really are spoiled rotten, I'll give them the Ein special when this interesting turn of events come to a close. We have another pervert peeking as well by the way." He snapped his fingers and Adelheid appeared.
"W-wha? Anti-Entropy? So you guys have been peeking already on my sister's blooming love life huh!" She pointed at them like they were voyeurs and they deadpanned at her.
Joachim and Lieserl didn't do anything because if she was an enemy, Ein would incapacitate her then and there.
"Not like you were stalking your sister you god damned sis-con." Lieserl rebutted and Addy flinched. "What about you Einstein. You're awfully relaxed there on your seat no?" Adelheid replied as she saw Lieserl leaning onto Ein.
"Mind your own business. So? Why aren't you going down there and ripping that kid apart?" Lieserl raised a brow as Adelheid was a hard ass sis-con based on their intel.
"Look who's talking, shouldn't you mind your own business too? Hmph. Me and Cecilia have been unable to go outside HQ since we got there. I want her to experience the outside, because someone doesn't want to take us out when he could easily do it." She gave a stink eye to Ein that was still hugging Lieserl like a teddy bear.
"I would've. If you did this again." He took out a display and showed everyone Adelheid begging him to train them, calling him onii-chama.
Adelheid kneeled on the ground and writhed. Making Lieserl laugh at her shameful display. "So much for the paladin of Schicksal, it seems she's also a brother-con no?" Lieserl made fun of her and Ein thought it wasn't equal. So he changed the video and there, Lieserl was in maid clothes with Erwin and Tesla
"Nancy-sama, please let us go the annual science fair! It's our dream to be there even once!" Lieserl acted poorly and has a monotone face while reciting the lines.
"Hohohoho~ You? A mere maid wants to go? You are more suited to cleaning my mansion desuwa! Ohohoho!" Nancy did an ojou-sama laugh, but she had a constipated look on her face while Tesla almost cried due to holding in her laughter. Erwin looks unamused and still had that blank look on her face.
"Pft. Hehe, HAHAHA. You do look good as a maid Einstein!" Adelheid gained her confidence back and laughed at Lieserl who was writhing on Ein's lap.
Joachim smiled wryly and looked at Cecilia and Siegfried. "They're starting to go. Let's follow them." He said to them.
"Let Adelheid do this. Cecila's her sister after all." Ein told them and they all nodded. Joachim might be the sovereign of anti-entropy now. But Ein was the unshakeable leader in any organization, even Schicksal. As Tilie cannot really oppose his wishes or whims.
They then followed the two with great interest.
