Chapter 100: The Blade of the Perfect Soldier
Ein was currently inside the sea of quanta. Creating the very 1st weapon made of Adamantine. It looked plain except for it's ridiculously long blade. An odachi that glimmers dangerously, the hamon polished to perfection. Showcasing extreme sharpness and most of all, effectiveness.
"Hmm, I'm satisfied with this. It took a lot of tries, but this baby can hold all of the energy I can give with amazing efficiency." He kissed the spine of the blade and brandished it. Eager to test it out.
The Masamune was created to be a catalyst to his strength, not add up. And it was special because it has the original weight of the material and weighed an absurd amount. Nobody can lift it with their bare hands, weighing at least a quintillion kilograms.
"Null energy, you're my best friend." He cheered at the possibilities the sea of quanta can give. The sword was heavy as hell, but he off set gravity that would pull in people whenever he takes out Masamune.
"Hmmm, I need a wardrobe change at least. Gotta look the part" He stripped out of his clothes and snapped his fingers. He was now wearing a black trench coat and have white shoulder guards. Completing the look when he made his eyes glow slightly.
"Let's try this out hehe~" He went inside a bubble universe deep inside the sea, it was about to be devoured anyway and there were no signs of life anywhere. He created two clones and they were Kevin and Su, though with very different personalities.
"Infinite mystery. Is the gift of the goddess, We seek it thus, and take to the sky. Ripples form on the water's surface. The wandering soul knows no rest." The Su clone read while sitting on top of a rock.
Ein walked up to them and smiled. "Loveless, act 1." Su closed the book and smirked. "You remembered." Ein smirked as well and pointed to his head. "How can I not, when you've beaten it into my head." He then brandished Masamune and started playing his boss music.
Kevin smiled. "Don't take Ein lightly Su." The other scoffed. "Noted." They then brandished their blades made of Neutronium as Soulium ones would break instantly. Kevin gave the 1st slash and Ein deflected it easily with one hand on his blade. Taking things easy and preventing the Masamune from creating world ending explosions in their clashes.
Su tried taking advantage of his blind spot, but he was sent flying with a wave of Ein's blade. "Ha. Is that the best you can do?" Su and Kevin clone then swung their swords at his chest and Ein blocked it pretty easily by putting his sword in front of him.
"All hail Ein huh? Kevin, let me deal with Ein... Alone." Kevin raised a brow. "Su, that's." He was about to grab his shoulder, but Su shook his head and raised his blade. "Hmph, you can try." Ein provoked him.
"So, smug... But for how long?" He imbued his blade with honkai energy and it started to glow violently. He gave a roar as he started slashing Ein, exchanging blows.
Su did a flip and built up momentum, he then made an overhead strike from above. Ein smirked and blocked it, the ground cracked and earthquakes started to ravage the land. It was his clone after all, not really Su. As even Mobius, the strongest physically right now would lose at his 1st strike.
Ein then sent Su flying in the sky and followed suit, giving a combo of slashes that the clone couldn't block or parry. His form started to breakdown and Ein sent him plummeting to the ground like a meteor.
The Su clone coughed and raised his hand, creating a multitude of fireballs that were millions of degrees in temperature, the surroundings started to melt and he launched all of it to Ein that was in mid air.
Ein parried every single one, and others went wide. Missing him, but Ein knew it was for another purpose. Su clenched his hand and controlled the fireballs, they started to converge on Ein like a moth to a flame.
Su was about to launch an even bigger one, but Kevin interrupted. "Enough, Su. If we continue, this world would be destroyed." Su was offended and blasted him on the face. "Shut up Kevin. Let me finish this."
As the blazing fire reached critical temperature, Ein released a swing that sliced the continent in half. Revealing his form that didn't receive any damage, nor singe his fabulous hair.
Su blocked it, but the energy from the slashes kept going. Slicing the continental shelf to pieces. He then landed and Su tried to engage in swordplay again. But he was outmatched, Ein sent him flying and Su stared at him while he was standing on a piece of land that was sinking.
After Ein's head dipped. He jumped out with a smile and started pressuring Su. Attacking him relentlessly, not giving any respite. Su overcharged his blade and tried to overpower him.
"Hmph, a good try." Ein raised his blade and made a blindingly quick slash. Su dodged it with sweat on his brows and the planet was sliced in two.
"Time to end this then." Kevin saw what he was about to do and tried stopping him, but Ein quickly stabbed him on the chest and raised him up like barbecue. "Return with the world." He then waved his sword and the clone flew away like a wet noodle.
Ein went high up in the sky and tensed his arm, preparing to give one hundred percent physically. The sword vibrated from his power and he gave a multitude of slashes that sliced space like a lightsaber through butter.
The bubble universe then started to shake violently, it couldn't maintain itself and it split into many pieces from his attacks. The whole thing then fell into the sea of quanta, never to be seen again.
Ein nodded in satisfaction and kissed his sword. "Ooh baby, you're going to be my favorite." He then returned to the base and saw Eden sleeping still on his bed.
"Hmm, she must have a lot in her mind." He slowly and carefully lied down, hugging Eden from behind and relaxed for a bit. Finding the right combination of null energy and smithing the sword was stressful after all. They still didn't have much Adamantine and Mobius was the only one who had a gene seed due to the scarcity of the material. And she boasted everyday of course.
Eden then started to mumble. "Ahh, Ellie. Not you... As well. I've already lost Ein..." She frowned in her sleep and was sweating heavily. Ein quickly shaked her awake and Eden propped up instantly, gasping for air and her eyes now wide open.
"Eden, baby. What's wrong? Had a nightmare about the past?" Eden saw him and quickly hugged him tight. "Un, it was when me and Elysia were roaming the waste lands without purpose. Ellie tried convincing me to go back and enter the cryopods... But things were bleak back then." She frowned and remembered his final message for all of them.
"Eden... Come here, it's fine. I won't disappear, everything is okay. And we'll find Ellie, I promise. It's just a bit difficult to make my special suit to be stealthy, but you know me. We'll make it eventually." He smiled and Eden nodded. She nuzzled up to him like a cat. Basking in his warmth.
"Okay, thank you Ein. I feel much better now." She smiled and he got an idea. "You know, I can sense that you guys are still a bit anxious of me leaving. Aponia sticks to me like glue, Phyllis would track me down, Vill made numerous surveillance cameras, Mobius would pester me for helping her, and SAKURA always asks to train with me."
He smiled wryly and made a song that showcases his actions back then. They called upon the gang and they were seated in front of the sakura tree.

Ein prepared a piano in front of the tree and looked at everyone. "Hey guys, I made this for you. We've been through hard times, and if you don't already know, this might let you."
He started playing and everybody listened intently.
" The way I. Go through with,
red roses burn my eyes

Everybody remembered all the destruction and him being absent most of the time. Deployed to high risk areas to deal with emperor class beasts.
"Never let you go,
it's why I did them all
For a chance at least,

Eden teared up, Ein fought tooth and nail for them to live and if he didn't had precautions. She would've wasted all of his efforts.

Su and Aponia understood. That the weight and responsibilities would rip anyone in half. Shouldering the lives of billions of people, being the last bastion of humanity.
Having an impossible workload and every life snuffed out by COCOON, or honkai eruptions were his responsibility.
And when they needed him the most, he appeared again. Going down in flames with an overwhelming enemy to give a chance to the new era as his legacy.
"Never let you go,

So stay alive, bravely!"
They never doubted him. But they doubted themselves, if it was okay for them to live on. While Ein who paved the way for the present died for them.
"So, did you guys like it? Kinda poetic ain't it? Now come here you guys." He lifted them up and initiated a group hug. Eden cried and looked at him. "Sorry Ein... Forgive me..."
He patted her head and flicked her forehead. "Yeah, you should. But it's all okay now... So let's enjoy our new lives from now on, the peace won't last long. But you guys already know the drill."
They all nodded and started to have some lunch that Ein prepared for them. He then saw Einstein huddling up in a corner, so of course he went to her and ruffled her already messy hair. "What's the problem Einstein? Why so awkward eh?" She looked at her plate and bit her lip. "I don't feel like I belong here. The only one I know here really is you, Dr. MEI and Dr. Mobius are more of acquaintances."
He sighed and thought it was a valid problem. "That's understandable... And you're kind of like MEI too, one of those scientist types that are married to work and research. Do you even have a hobby?"
She cringed and thought that her hobby and joy in life was researching and inventing things. "Stop, I already know... But, I did notice you really like your creations." They watched on and looked at the ELFs playing with kids, working and leading mundane lives.
It made Einstein smile unconsciously and Ein patted her back. "You look like you'd be a good mother Einstein. Strict, but love your children." He thought he was like a mother to her creations, wanting them to live like humans and to enjoy their lives even if they are robots in the end.
"Umu, I never imagined they'd be used for such mundane tasks like cleaning and paper works. They were made to battle the honkai, and now..." She looked at some of them running around, playing tag. "They're living good lives."
She looked at him and smiled tenderly. "And it's all because of you. Thank you, we wouldn't even be able to escape without your help back then. So thank you..." Ein then decided to remind her of her words back then.
"Now, how about we have some fun and hang out just like what you said back then?" He took laser tags and made a course to play with the ELFs and children. "Come on, I'll play like a normal person and won't tryhard against you scrubs."
Einstein laughed and took a laser gun. "Ohh, you're on!" Everybody started playing laser tag. The flame chasers played at another course, going all out as Vill-v's equipment floated around her. Gunning down anyone like an omnipresent defense system.
Mobius ran around like crazy and did insane acrobatics. SAKURA as an assassin back in COCOON would slit throats with a rubber knife. While Kalpas was banned, because he would just run around like a call of duty player, tanking the shots.

The day ended and Einstein was exhausted, being a normal scientist. She haven't had a stigmata and the bio suit implanted yet. "That, was fun... Not gonna lie. I could even use geometry to calculate the trajectories of the lasers." She used mirrors or reflective surfaces to score points just like a tryhard nerd.
He ruffled her hair and laughed. "Right? We're not in the past anymore Einstein, you don't have to be too tense. Enjoy everything we couldn't back then. It's a golden opportunity." He smiled and she looked at him with dazed eyes.
"Un. I wish we met earlier. I never thought that there were so many more things I could enjoy in this world. The cuisine, the beautiful sights. The world is so much more beautiful than I thought." She remembered slaving away to try and counter the honkai for the war.
"Well, that's a pretty high compliment from you. But you won't be able to eat anything else anymore now that you've ate my food kukuku~" She laughed and looked at the sunset.
"Well. I just don't have to go anywhere then. Did I do the flirting thing correctly?" She was frank and blunt. Rational and relied on facts as a scientist should be.
"Hmm, I don't know~ maybe you should do experiments? You won't get results without it after all." He teased her and Einstein felt an impulse.
"How about something like this? Let me try." She put her arms on his neck and gave him a quick peck. "Hmm. I could feel a rush of dopamine and I feel warm inside, oxytocin?" He laughed at her and pinched her cheek.
"What about this variable." He grasped her chin and kissed her. Pushing on her lips with his tongue to gain entry. She was surprised, but gave access nonetheless and felt like she was melting into him.
"Hmm, how was it. Did you got a good result?" She nodded while in a daze. "Yes, conclusion is that I think I'll enjoy being with you." She stood up and sat between his legs. Leaning onto him while seeing the sakura petals fall.
Content, she closed her eyes and basked in his high body temperature. Ein hugged her waist and put his chin on top of her head. "Pretty nice isn't it... Though you should prepare yourself for the interview, you're actually pretty lucky Elysia isn't here."
He chuckled and thought of the bubbly Elf. She would probably throw a barrage of questions at her and violate her personal space.
They then continued watching the sun set while enjoying the breeze.
