Adam stated firmly, his golden eyes fixed on the blue-haired Jinn.

When one uses the lamp, the time around the user freezes. That includes people as well

The power of time... He doesn't really know how a spirit like Jinn can stop time, but it is definitely limited

Her voice was questioning, not malicious. Although the Jinn appeared cold at first glance, she was purely curious about why Rimuru could resist her time-stop

"Because you are too weak to affect her" Adam, with a neutral voice, butted in and said in the place of the blue-haired girl

That was indeed the case... Her being possibly the reincarnation or a fragment of Veldanava aside, she was naturally strong by herself, not to mention the True Dragon she currently housed in her stomach- that alone being enough to resist a time stop from a being not even stronger than her

"Is that so....?" The spirit tilted her head to the side with a thoughtful expression on her face

... Truthfully, Adam didn't know if he could also resist the effects of time stop. Maybe if Rias or Rimuru were the ones who summoned Jinn, he would most likely be in the same situation as the red-haired devil

"I apologize. But I can't unfreeze your companion" The spirit of knowledge replied to their request, her expression returning to neutral "Normally, everything around the one who summoned me would be frozen in time, but it seems this girl is a special case"

In the end, she was still looking at Rimuru with curiosity and wonder that could hardly be concealed. Having lived this long and getting to see something special for the first time obviously aroused her curiosity

Her refusal also came as no surprise. When the brother gods created her, they must have imposed some restrictions on her... Or so Adam thinks, at least it seemed logical to him for a God to restrict a powerful relic he created

The slime girl wore a frown on her face as she received some information from Adam through their link. Although she understood the situation now, she was still a little uncomfortable at the idea of proceeding without one of their fellow group members

The blue Jinn, spoke up as she glanced at all three of them, curiosity her eyes scanning them with curiosity in her gazes

"Are you three from another world?"

Adam's eyes widened, his brain running at high speed as he processed the spirit's words

He could also feel the same chaotic emotions from Rimuru- the blue-haired girl looking at Jinn with a surprised expression

Inwardly, he cursed to himself. Although he doesn't mind Jinn knowing about this as the spirit wasn't malicious, it still makes him worry, especially considering the possible future missions the Chat Room will give them

If Jinn is aware of their origin, what about other more powerful beings... What about the overpowered creatures and gods that exist in other universes that Adam will visit?

"You shouldn't worry too much"

As if seeing his worries, the spirit of knowledge reassured him with a surprisingly gentle voice

"There is no record about the three of you in Remnant. For this, it is obvious that you three are beings from another world or planet" She continued, explaining further

"But considering how long it has been since an extraterrestrial being came here, and adding the current state of Remnant on top of that....." Jinn pursed her lips as she frowned "The only logical conclusion is that you are from another world, universe, or maybe even multiverse"

She shook her head, her voice becoming plain and her expression turning back to neutral

"I see..."

Adam's expression turned thoughtful

It seems that this spirit of knowledge has a form of limited omniscience in Remnant...? He doesn't know if that is true, but the details of her powers don't really matter to him

"Although I'm curious, I won't ask" Jinn looked at them blandly and put her hands under her surprisingly large bust

"I'm more curious about what a traveler from another world would want to know about Remnant" Her eyes lit up again, before unsurprisingly returning back to normal in an instant "Go ahead and ask your questions"

She seemed a little... Mentally and emotionally unstable? Adam didn't know how to put it into words, but it seemed clear to him now that no matter how human Jinn looked, she was certainly not a human

"I want to ask something!"

Rimuru's barely concealed enthusiastic voice came from his side

Due to their link and the time spent in the cave alone, the slime girl and Adam have a tacit understanding beyond normal people. That is why, the silver-haired boy signaled for Rimuru to ask her question first, as he wanted to ask something different

"Go ahead" The blue spirit shrugged and motioned her to continue

Taking a deep breath, Rimuru opened her mouth

"What is Salem?"

The Jinn's eyes glowed, looking at the one who asked this question

"An interesting question… Especially with how you worded it. If only that old man was as smart as you and wasn't so obsessed with permanently killing her"

Ignoring the spirit's words, Adam raised an eyebrow as he saw the slime girl's golden eyes also glowing. He recognized this as some sort of telepathy... Or something similar that is only used to transfer information to other people directly into their brain

A beautiful mature woman with unhealthy pale skin, white hair, and red eyes standing on her throne, looking outwards on the horizon with complicated emotions flashing in her eyes...

Countless images and information poured into the silver-haired boy's brain as he received all this information from the link he has with Rimuru

From Salem's history with her ex-husband Ozma to her transformation into what she is now because of their divorce....

Even her powers- what she was capable- was transformed into knowledge that entered his head. From her story to what she was capable, now, it can be said in confidence that besides Ozma, they are the ones that know the Grimm Queen best... Although, it would be prudent to withhold judgement until they actually meet her

Evidently, if one person asks a question, the other one will also receive this knowledge. Such is the current link between Rimuru and Adam

And most importantly, now they also know where her castle, the place she lives is located, and the exact way to enter it

Sure, Adam knows the location of this 'Evernight castle' from Cinder's memories... And obviously, they could brute force their way into the castle, kill Salem, and complete the mission

But.... The silver-haired boy didn't do that not only because of his cautiousness but also because he desired the Relic of Knowledge- and subsequently the Knowledge he could obtain from Jinn

There was also the fact that Grimm spawned continuously in the area around Salem's castle. And although they may still overwhelm these Grimm with their power, there is still some strength in numbers.... Exhausting their stamina and magical capacity fighting Grimm and then confronting Salem is stupid

"Now" Ignoring Rimuru who was still deep in thought at the information she received, Jinn looked back at him, her face dull of emotions "What is your question?"
