62 An intervention from an enemy is annoying

Rimuru floated in the air quietly, her expression hidden behind the mask of her recently passed away friend, Shizu, as she waited for [Great Sage] to finish processing all of the information Adam transferred to her

Although this 'Meggido' is simple and takes little time to cast, she ordered [Great Sage] to try and improve it with the knowledge Adam transferred. While a technique that uses the science of her previous world is quite advanced, simply using the principles of refracting light isn't quite enough

Physics, biology, chemistry.... She didn't know why her silver-haired friend forced this knowledge into her head with telepathy, but she trusted in him that he did it for a good reason

And because of that, she currently had her hand raised in the air, blue gelatinous mass manifesting forth into the air and forming complex shapes in the space behind her

"Awww! Come ooooon, it wouldn't hurt to glance at the Livestream, would it?" The busty red-haired devil, Rias, asked her as she floated beside the slime girl

"Rias-san, please stop. Adam told us to focus on our tasks" The blue-haired loli replied to her, exasperated at her fellow group member's behavior

She apparently wanted to see Adam's Livestream in the Chat Room, but when she took a glance at it, he scolded her and told her to focus on her task

"Tsk, I guess Admin-san did say that..." The devil clicked her tongue in annoyance

Rias was a Japanophile, someone who loved everything about Japan, whether it was their manner of speaking, their animes, or even their unique 'Culture'

'Tentacles...' Rimuru shivered just thinking about what she saw in her previous life, even more weirded out about what Japanese people were into- and she was a slime, for God's sake!

She was a curious person in her previous life.... Especially as a 40-year-old virgin woman, which prompted her 'sexual' curiosity even further, instigating her to research the so-called 'hentai'

.... It wasn't something she was proud of, more so given the fact that hentai was specially made for men's enjoyment.... It was so bad that she didn't enjoy anything about it

"Anyway! This is a really cool move, how did you make it?!" The busty redhead interrupted her thoughts and asked in curiosity

Under the influence of [Thought acceleration], the time spent thinking about these unimportant things was minimal

"Adam transferred this technique to me" Rimuru scratched her head "Apparently it was something I would invent in the future? Well, I am not sure, but he only gave me the general idea, [Great Sage] did the rest"

[Hmph]

Yes, it was apparently something her anime self invented on her own. But her best friend (?) said that he wasn't too keen on waiting for her to figure it out, so he transferred the technique to her so they could kill all the Grimm below them more efficiently

... It was like receiving a technique from her future self, it was really cool, actually

"Ohhhh?! Is that something your anime self did?! That's really cool!" Sharing the same opinion, there were stars in Rias' eyes at this point as she gushed

The blue-haired loli nodded "Yep! Now I should be more powerful than my anime self at this point in time!"

She is currently guessing, but with Adam's presence, the plot should have changed a lot. And it is obviously for the better, with her best friend's (?) knowledge and gifts, she is a lot more powerful!

"...." Rias pouted at her acceptance "I'm kind of jealous, you know?"

The slime girl tilted her head in confusion "Why?"

They are all group members, what is there to be jealous about? She thought in confusion

"Well-!"

RAAAAAAAAHHHHHHGGGGG

A powerful roar of a gigantic Grimm shook the city. Looking towards the source, Rimuru and Rias saw a gigantic Grimm dragon rapidly flying through the air, its direction being the tower

"Hey, isn't that Adam's current location?" The busty devil looked at the huge dragon in concern

In the DxD world, dragons were a symbol of power. So it was obvious that Rias would be concerned about the Admin when a seemingly powerful dragon was flying in his direction.... Even though she didn't show it outwardly

"Wait-! We should go help him!"

Rimuru instantly put her hand down and looked in the direction she felt Adam with concern. After that, she prepared to rush to his side

[It's alright]

Both the devil and the slime flinched as they heard Adam's voice in their head

"Are you... Sure?" The red-haired devil girl asked him in concern, not surprised she could hear his voice in her head

It was obvious she was concerned about him, but she refrained from doing anything

"Can you take on that dragon alone?" Rimuru asked, equally unsurprised

[Yes, don't worry. This guy has a major disadvantage against me]

"Ah, You mean....?" The blue-haired slime girl trailed off as she understood what Adam was implying- having analyzed and used [Gluttony] on his DNA

He indeed has a major advantage against dragons in general... Especially considering the nature of Grimm

"Oi! What are you talking about? Tell me!" The devil chimed in from the side with a dissatisfied voice, curiosity adorning her features

[Ahem, anyway. I have a dragon to kill, goodbye]

After he said that in a rush, Adam shut down the telepathic connection between them, giving them no time to talk to him further

"Ahhhh! This guy....!"

Rias clenched her fists in frustration as her curiosity was overwhelming her emotions

Taking a deep breath, she calmed down "Fuh~ I will definitely annoy him when I see him again!"

Looking at the redhead in front of her regaining her spirits and calming down, Rimuru sighed in relief and raised her hand again, going back to her previous work

After calming down his fellow group members who were present in this world, Adam ignored the dragon that was flying at him and looked at Cinder

She was in a bad condition, her uniform torn in many places as she was lying on the ground, struggling even to force her body to stand up

The environment around them was frozen, devoid of any heat as ice and snow painted the previously colored tower

Even worse, the atmosphere was oppressive- pressing down on the people present, making them drenched in sweat and having difficulties breathing

This was the first time that he fully unleashed the power of the Kaslana genes- the same ones that originated from a human who accepted the risky integration of the genes of the honkai beast Parvati into himself. Being so powerful- even against 'magic'- his ice powers won against the flames, completely extinguishing them

Adam didn't target Pyrrha, but he could see that she still passively felt the atmosphere, even more so as she was a seasoned warrior with a lot of experience

"You didn't think that through, did you?" He said, walking towards the black-haired woman with heavy, oppresive steps

The opposing woman trembled with a despairing look on her face, not even finding the strength to reply back

"Haaah..." Sighing at her lack of response, he approached her quickly

Standing before of her, he cupped her chin, tilted it to the side and...

RAAAAAAAAAAWWWR

He frowned, feeling the dragon Grimm getting agitated and rushing toward this location at an even faster pace than previously. Though unconcerned, the silver-haired boy started his attack faster

"Mmmmm-?!"

She voiced out in struggle as he clamped his hand on her mouth, using the honkai beast Vishnu's gene original power of [Devour] that was severely enhanced by [Gluttony] to drain her Aura

Feeling a shift in the surroundings with his senses, Adam frowned even more, activating his Alpha Stigma as his long-ingrained cautiousness prompted him to even turn on [Thought Acceleration], time standing to a standstill at its activation

His five-pointed star eyes widening, he looked at Cinder's body

Except for her torn clothes and her injuries, a dim darkish glow exuded from her being, seeing that, he focused more as he saw a vast fluctuation in magic. Although he hasn't come into contact with the Magic of this world much, and even though he isn't familiar with how it works, he can still recognize the signs of a spell being cast

Was it being cast by the amber-eyed woman herself? No, Adam inwardly rejected that thought

Narrowing his eyes, he peered deeper, as if he could see the origin of this phenomenon. Besides the Alpha Stigma, he has another thing, something that counters magic even more and can rapidly think of a solution for any situation

[Notice: Analysation complete]

Hearing the comforting voice of [Great Sage], Adam allowed himself to relax and loosen up a bit

[Identifiction complete. A magic spell with dark attribute, capable of long-distance transmission. Can be intercepted, or it can also be canceled out in its entirety]

The golden-eyed boy once again (mentally) narrowed his eyes. It was not because [Great sage] spoke without his prompt- with their unity, such a thing was common as he didn't even have to command her on such simple things. No, he narrowed his eyes because there was only one magical caster in this entire world that could use such a magic spell that can teleport objects or people

...Ozma doesn't count

Shaking his head, he focused on the current situation, time slowly resuming as he canceled [Thought Acceleration]

"Mhhhhhhmmmmm!"

Time from his perspective resuming, Adam's other hand found its target on Cinder's chest, uncaring for her pathetic whimper. His newly acquired demonic power shifted, pulsing as it woke up and was about to be used on the fly for the first time

Eyes glowing, the golden-haired boy directed his demonic energy to intercept the teleportation spell, trying to cancel it out. The dark magic power around Cinder glowed even more intensely at his rough way. After his power touched the foreign magic power, it started dissipating, the glow around the amber-eyed woman dimming down

Cautious as ever, he urged himself even more, Devouring her aura even more intensely, touching even her magic power as his ability started gnawing on the other energy

As he drained her dry, he also used his Psionic powers to delve into her head, seeing everything about her life

Flashes of memories appeared around him, showcasing the life experiences of one Cinder Fall. He quickly skimmed through her memories, instructing [Great Sage] to filter all her useless moments, leaving only her useful memories that contained important knowledge

Plop

Leaning back, Adam watched apathetically as Cinder fell back into the ground weakly as she went unconscious, drained dry of Aura and most likely mentally damaged because of his lack of experience using Psionics

[Affirmative. Memories and knowledge of individuals known as Cinder have been filtered and categorized. Data analyzed through the [Alpha Stigma] regarding the use of Psionic powers on others has also been recorded]

[Though, a part of her memories were missing]

'Thank you, [Great Sage]' he thanked her, grateful to her for saving him the trouble of doing such a massive task, while subsequently ignoring her second notice temporarily

[.....]

[Starting transfer now....]

Adam closed his eyes as he read through the Data [Great Sage] sent him regarding how to better utilize his Psionic powers

He already copied all of Cinder's useful memories into his own brain. Although he also copied some useless knowledge as he is still a beginner at using Psionic powers, he is rapidly improving in his usage of those powers with the help of the analysis aspect of the [Alpha Stigma] and [Great Sage]

.... That means all of Cinder's memories, which most of them are not useful, are his. That includes her combat experience, her fighting skills, her Aura techniques, and her shallow knowledge of magic….. Though, the missing memories of this woman awoke a bad feeling in Adam, but he put it aside for now as there were more important manners

Telepathy is a cheat code for getting knowledge. Adam doesn't understand how all those Psionic super-powered people didn't think of stealing the knowledge of other geniuses for themselves

... Then again, unless they are a Herrscher, he doesn't think that more knowledge would correspond to greater strength

"Umm...."

A girl's exhausted voice was heard when he exited the state of Accelerated thoughts

Opening his blue eyes, he looked at Pyrrha with a neutral expression on his face

RAAAAAAAA

As the roar of the dragon sounded closer, Pyrrha, who neither questioned his power nor his identity, pointed her finger at the giant beast that almost reached them

"What about this giant Grimm....?" Frowning, she asked in a weary voice

Adam's lips twitched

With [Magic sense], he obviously didn't forget about the Grimm dragon that sensed its temporary master being threatened

Although he did employ some subtle telekinetic and magic means to slow down its speed as much as possible.... It was obvious that it would reach them eventually

"It doesn't matter" He said out loud, to no one in particular

Raising his hand, he put his palm in the direction of Cinder's body

"Gluttony"

Following his calm voice, a familiar vortex came out of his palm, completely enveloping Cinder and sucking her into his [Stomach]

"Now...." Adam trailed off as he stood up straighter

"It's time to finish this" The golden-haired boy announced as he looked toward the approaching ancient Grimm in front of him with a menacing gaze
