Chapter 15: Everlasting Flames III

The Herrscher of Domination's attack that was about to hit was suddenly blocked with a black-red sword comparable to a greatsword in Kiana's hands.

"Servant Saber, I have received summoning's, art thou my master—" Xuan's broken sense of humor clicked in as tried making a cool appearance.

But.

"—I knew you weren't dead." Kiana ignored the attack from above, hugging Xuan from behind, who froze in place.

"I knew you weren't dead." Ignoring the attack from above, Kiana hugged Xuan from behind, leaving him frozen in place.

"I have always believed you'd appear in front of me once again." Xuan struggled to process Kiana's words, but his pseudo-Herrscher brain short-circuited.

It seemed that in this parallel world, he had taken Mei's position.

No wonder her figure never appeared when Theresa, Bronya, and Fu Hua's did.

But was he really dead?

How did it happen?

Then what about Mei?

Xuan had many questions, but there was currently a meteor-like attack descending from the sky and a grumpy empowered Herrscher in front of them.

"Kiana..."

Xuan put his hand over her hand that hugged him tightly, looking back at the white-haired girl that had tears running down.

"Let's.... talk about this when we deal with those two first."

With a nod, Kiana released him from the hug, offering a smile before summoning her greatsword once more.

"Just wait for me. I'll quickly take care of the nuisance above."

A somewhat ominous words came out, as her lips curled up slightly before dashing towards it.

 "Now then—" Xuan muttered as he watched Kiana trail off into the air.

"You...Who are you?" Herrscher of Domination stared at Xuan warily, as it controlled its strings. The Herrscher's words were meant to distract the boy but.

SWISH!

"—Unfortunately, while I might only be a Pseudo-Herrscher, but, the likes of your attacks will not work on me."

"I have limited time, let's make this quick."

Xuan cut the strings with the [Sword in the Sheath] weapon, then after his taunt, he lunged towards the Herrscher of Domination, swinging the [Sword in the Sheath] weapon at her.

But—

"How weak! Hahaha! Can you see!"

"I can't die!"

"This is the power given to me by God!" The Herrscher of Domination laughed hysterically as she made a mockery of Xuan, who jumped back before staring at his side.

"I'm sure I slashed it.... It regenerated? No...."

"Invincibility, eh?"

"I would've been cooked had Shiki's luck has been bad like mine." Xuan muttered, his lips curling upwards as the [Sword in the Sheath] weapon disappeared.

"Hmm? Have you given up?"

"No...."

A bright golden sword appeared in front of Fu Xuan, its brilliance radiating with a warm glow that seemed to embrace everybody present.

Despite the energy being a product of Honkai, the sword didn't seem to have one bit of the corruption Honkai Energy has.

It was a more Holy Version of Honkai Energy.

[Excalibur].

"What is that? Just what is that weapon?!" The Herrscher of Domination took a step back in fear.

Not paying the Herrscher any mind, Xuan raised the sword overhead. He plans on ending it all once and for all.

The countdown on the system until the quest ends is but three minutes, so he'll have to deal with the Herrscher in less time to have some time for Kiana.

"With Scriptures as guide, I wield mastery over the art of war with strategic prowess, crowned as the sovereign of law, the arbiter of reason's decree."

BOOM!

Kiana had destroyed the mechanical giant attack with an atomic slash that literally slashed through the mechanical giant's hand, consuming it with an explosion.

Feeling a warm energy caressing her body, she looked down to see Xuan, holding the sword overhead while reciting a chant?

But of course, the Herrscher of Domination was not going to let the chance pass.

Though the Herrscher couldn't approach closer because the energy around him was dangerous to it (The Herrscher of Domination).

So, it summoned a beam of light, firing it straight at Xuan.

"I won't let you!"

Kiana, with great speed, not even concerned about the condition of her body, descended while twirling to offset the beam of light shot towards Xuan.

"Second, God has given me the powers to command space to reach the firmament of the Heavens, the arbiter of Void's decree."

"Third, with crown adorned, I command thunder and lightning to forge arrows that shatters all barriers, sealing fate with my divine Lightning decree."

"Fourth, bestowed upon me is the dominion over the Eternal Tempest, heralding the world's finale, acknowledged as the sovereign of longing, wielding the laws of the wind."

"Fifth, with divine grant, I wish for eternal silence, for I wish for the world to stop, stop, stop, stop, wielding the laws of Frost."

As Xuan continued the liberation spell, the aura emitted by the weapon in Fu Xuan's hand became more and more dazzling, causing the Herrscher of Domination to panic.

"Don't stop me!"

The Herrscher of Domination became even more panicked as it shot several strings, beams of light, and even tried summoning puppets to attack Xuan.

But—

"Don't take your eyes off me!"

With held breath, Kiana slashed her sword, burning everything to the ground. Her attacks hit the Herrscher; however, like before, her body was restored to its original state.

"Tsk!"

Seeing this Kiana clicked her tongue, she could only rely on Xuan now.

"Sixth, bestowed upon me is the brocade robe, imbued with the wine of death and sweet dreams, ruler of tranquility, with the laws of Death acknowledgment."

"Seventh, gifted with a sword ablaze in immortal flames, igniting sparks across the plains, sovereign of plagues, with the laws of Fire recognizing my authority."

"Eighth, granted wings to govern the minds of all, weaving the fabric of dream into reality, ruler of spirits, wielding the laws of all Sentience as my decree."

"Ninth, adorned with rocky shoes, where gravity yields to the weight of rock, splitting heavens and earth, sovereign of destruction, with the laws of Gravity affirming my reign."

The light emitting from the sword soon broke through the Theatre of Domination space, appearing even in the real world, its warm light all-embracing.

Several Honkai Beasts all around the world looked over where the light was emitting from, as if in worship.

Otto Apocalypse from his office stared at the all-encompassing light, his eyes widening. The light brought about a sense of nostalgia, as the Overseer muttered one word: "Kallen...."

Kevin Kaslana, at the far ends of the world, could see the light from where he was. "....."

....

"Ten, God has given me form, ignoring the rule of one, I have a thousand form, a thousand faces, I am the king of disillusionment, even the laws of Domination acknowledge my decree."

Hearing those words, the Herrscher of Domination shouted, "Wait, you're... the Dictator!?"

"Impossible!"

"I never acknowledged such!"

"To a mere halfling like you!"

As much as it wanted to move from its spot, since the gravity seal had been liberated, she had been locked in place.

It could be said that it was the laws of gravity holding it down.

Xuan continued.

"Eleventh, granted chains to punish the vile sins, adorning the earth as a prison, acknowledged as the monarch of bondage, the laws of Restraint as my testament."

"Twelfth, bestowed upon me the Holy Grail, where bitterness transforms to wine, and the destroyer meets demise, recognized as the lord of erosion, with the laws of Erosion affirming my sovereignty."

[Liberation Spell Acknowledged.]

[Excalibur.]

[Full Power Unleashed.]

Xuan could see it now with Excalibur fully unleased, the connection with the Herrscher of Domination and the Honkai God(?)

He needs to sever that connection.

Slowly, the light from the sword descended, causing the world to flash black and white several times over.

The beam of light destroyed the entire Theatre of Domination, appearing in the real world and even extending into space.

That... was Excalibur.

Or rather HonCalibur—I know, it's not funny.

....

The attack ended as the beam of light dissipated.

"Fwahh, all's well that ends well," Xuan remarked, ignoring the damage he had caused to the real world and stretching his hands with a smile on his face.

Now he understood the scale of the weapon's strength even better—

"—Xuan... it's really you..."

Kiana slowly approached from behind interrupted his thought, attempting to hug him again, but this time, Xuan saw this coming and jumped away, dodging the hug.

Kiana could only drop her hands in silence, her head hanging low before looking at Xuan again. "Can I... hug you?"

Xuan sighed; there was really nothing he could do.

He didn't want to give this girl false hope, but at the same time, he didn't want to just leave her like that.

Xuan nodded slowly, and Kiana jumped into his arms in the next moment. Then after some seconds.

"Don't go! Please, don't go! I finally get to see you again, please don't leave me! Don't leave me again"

"You ....." Xuan's mouth hung open, hearing Kiana's words, it did indeed seem like he was THAT close to the Kiana of this world.

"Kiana..."

I will try my best to come back for you.

Seeing her crying wholeheartedly, he wanted to comfort her with those words, but then, those words hung as his lips parted open, he closed back his lips, he didn't.

Rather... He couldn't.

His body became transparent, as he felt his body breaking down into particles once more.

He could only look at Kiana with bitterness as she left his embrace, giving him a warm smile.

'Ahhh.... Parallel world me.... what have you done to this girl.....'

Before he disappeared, he saw those red flags; those hearts on Kiana's pupils, as her lips, curving up into a chilling smile.

So, we might probably get a yandere Kiana in the future? Crazy. haven't read far, so I honestly don't know what the OG author is cooking with the twelve chants.

In the original, he use Excalibur for no reason, except for the fact the Herrscher couldn't die, which was pretty tasteless in my opinion.

So I added the connection to the Honkai God element to at least make it have more sense. And I'm seriously praying it made sense to y'all.

As for the twelve liberation chant.... I know it's cringe, but I feel it has something to do with MC being a dictator I think?

Eh, anyways, we'll see how things unfold. (I'm also reading the fic as I translate).

1 – Wasn't sure if Kevin was already in World Serpent base at this point in time, so I just found a way to twist it, lol.
