57 Chapter 57: We Will Reunite (4k)

A simple and happy family... If it weren't for the Honkai, if Mom hadn't died... then, could I also have such happiness?

.....

With everything concluded, everyone decided to take a day to rest and go to the upper district tomorrow.

Holding Bella's hand, Chase returned to the room inside the Goethe Grand Hotel, starting to organize the information obtained from Welt.

He already knew that the Welt in reality was not from this world; he came from a world called Earth, where a disaster called "Honkai" occurred.

In Welt's world, there was no Chase, and there was no Second Herrscher who was saved. There was only an aerial Herrscher who, after awakening, sought revenge against humanity, persecuted and oppressed.

In that world, Sirin, who truly became a Herrscher, lost her humanity. She sought revenge; she wanted to retaliate...

In the end... she died.

Without his intervention, would Sirin's fate in this world be the same? He couldn't help but wonder.

Clearing his chaotic thoughts from his mind, Chase suddenly made a decision—not suddenly, it was more like a natural and inevitable decision.

That Sirin—Sirin who liked to eat sweets but was afraid of cavities, who liked little skirts but didn't dare to ask for them, who seemed childish but pretended to be mature...

Every moment with her was vividly displayed in his mind.

Welt's world had such an ending, but what about now?

Chase smiled gently.

If the story is not perfect, if there are still gaps in the plot.

Then, let me do it.

Let me fill in the final blanks—even if it means sacrificing everything.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but learning to dance in the rain.

.....

With determination, Chase lay down on the bed, preparing to start the simulation. However, he found Bella gazing at him dreamily, holding two cups of water in her hands.

"Bella, thank you. I'm quite thirsty," Chase said with a smile, reaching out to take the cups, but Bella withdrew her hand.

"No, I'll drink two cups," Bella said, holding the water in front of Chase. Chase, however, seemed not to notice, making her a bit unhappy.

In the end, Chase still drank the water. He lay back on the bed, telling Bella, who stood there looking a bit dazed, "Bella, I'm going to sleep. Pay attention to the surroundings for me."

Bella nodded, blushing a bit, and asked eagerly, "Brother, do you need someone to warm the bed?"

"No, no need," Chase quickly waved his hand to refuse.

He was about to simulate again. Once the simulation was over, Sirin might come.

If Bella helped Chase warm the bed, and Sirin saw it... Chase didn't dare to think about what would happen!

Closing his eyes, Chase stopped thinking about these things and entered the simulation.

.....

[Ding - Life Restart Simulator simulation initiated.]

[Confirming player—Chase.]

[Next is the simulation of the first chapter.]

[Chapter One: Sirin's Magic of Happiness.]

[Five special talents have been customized for the player, as follows:]

[Envy of the Heavens (Gold): Your body is inherently weak, and you are destined not to live past thirty, but your intelligence is greatly enhanced.]

[Cook (Blue): You excel in cooking and have reached the level of a super chef. (With a little more effort, your dishes will shine!)]

[Aristocrat (Blue): You were born into a noble family. (Awakening from a near-death illness, I'm actually a noble!)]

[Orphan (Green): You are an orphan, growing up without the companionship of parents, making you more independent and self-reliant, with a spirit of self-reliance. (Both parents dead, but I have a sister and a house!)]

[Child King (Green): You are quite popular among children and easily gain the trust of little ones. (When playing house, you're always the dad!)]

[Talent solidification complete. Wishing the player a pleasant game.]

[Chapter One clear goal: Find Sirin's turning point in life and make her happy.]

Chase focused his gaze on the only gold talent, Envy of the Heavens, and there was no joy in his entire person due to the gold attribute. Instead, there was a faint sense of foreboding.

The next second, the premonition came true.

[Influenced by the talent "Envy of the Heavens (Gold)," the talent "Adaptability to Honkai (Purple)" is disabled in this simulation.]

[The impact of the talent "Envy of the Heavens (Gold)" on your body has been reduced.]

[Simulation begins...]

......

[In 1984, at the age of 0, the talent "Noble Aristocrat (Blue)" was activated, and you were born into a family called Kaslana.]

[You inherited the physique of the Kaslana family, and your physical qualities improved, along with an increased resistance to Honkai. The impact of the talent "Envy of the Heavens (Gold)" on your body was slightly reduced, allowing you to live a relatively normal life.]

[Due to the talent "Orphan (Green)," your mother died during childbirth due to complications, and your father died in a battle against the Honkai. Thus, you became an orphan.]

[Luckily, you were adopted by Siegfried Kaslana's mother, and you gained a stepbrother named Siegfried.]

[At the age of 12, your stepbrother Siegfried, who loved watching robot anime on TV, often fantasized about being a powerful robot named Arahato. In his clumsy attempts to imitate the robot's moves, he ended up breaking many things at home, blaming you for it.]

[You tried to argue in baby language, but no one understood. You silently held onto this grudge, vowing to seek revenge in the future.]

[Your physique was weaker than other children your age, but you managed to grow up safely.]

[(At the age of 2, Siren was born.) You still grew up peacefully. Siegfried found that as long as he made mistakes, he would be blamed on you, the child, and neither of you would have to be beaten. He would never tire of this, and you would be silent Remember this grudge, scratch his face while he is playing with you, and secretly hide his toys when he is not around...]

[At the age of 3, Siegfried Kaslana fled the family. The current Archbishop Otto Apocalypse was furious, but your stepmother's plea spared you from consequences. At the age of 4, you grew up safely, and with Siegfried's departure, your stepmother's attention increased.]

[Due to the influence of Kaslana genes, you developed silver-white hair at the age of 6. Despite being physically weaker, the talent "Child King (Green)" allowed you to get along well with the other children in the family.]

[You started learning the "Tai Xu Sword Qi" and easily reached the "Dustless" realm at a young age.]

[At the age of 7, Otto promised Siegfried that if he could defeat all opponents in a competition, he would allow him to meet Cecilia.]

[You discovered an unusual talent for mental activities. Your photographic memory allowed you to remember every detail from your past.]

[At the age of 8, your physical condition showed no improvement and even seemed to worsen. Medical diagnosis labeled it as a rare congenital disease named after you.]

[At the age of 9, Siegfried won the competition and finally met Cecilia. Siegfried, now more mature, sought to make amends for blaming you and offered to help you.]

[At the age of 10, Theresa visited the family. During a game, she snatched the stool you were about to sit on, causing you to fall. You silently held a grudge against her.]

[In the same year, you broke through to the "Mirror" realm and approached the next realm, "Tai Xu."]

[You attempted to break through to "Tai Xu" but failed.]

[At the age of 12, the family decided to test your potential by placing the divine key "Judgement of Shamash" in your hands. However, upon touching it, your left hand was instantly corroded by Honkai energy.]

[This unprecedented situation shocked everyone. Cecilia used her divine key "Black Abyss White Flower" to treat your hand, but the corruption persisted. Even the combination with the Saintess's blood couldn't fully suppress the corruption.]

[You underwent a diagnostic examination with the most advanced technology, and the result was unexpected. There was no special trait found in you, and your resistance to Honkai was significantly lower than normal.]

[From that moment, your stepmother no longer pushed you to follow Siegfried's path or become an outstanding Kaslana Knight. Your focus shifted to the talent "Cook (Blue)," and you became the only person in the family with culinary skills.]

[Due to the rumors of your exceptional cooking, some Kaslana members attempted to learn cooking, leading to chaos and accidents in the family. After the fire and kitchen explosions, it became clear that Kaslana members were truly incapable of cooking.]

[Otto reduced his attention to you, considering you a Kaslana with a genetic mutation.]

[In the same year, Siegfried's daughter, Kiana Kaslana, was born, and they frequently visited for meals.]

[You attempted to break through to "Tai Xu" but failed.]

[You attempted to break through the "Void," but it was unsuccessful.]

[At the age of 13, your body seemed even weaker, and you started reducing outdoor activities.]

[In the same year, you inadvertently discovered the idol experiences of the S-rank Valkyrie Theresa from Schicksal. Finding it interesting, you organized the information, made some improvements, and created a children's book titled "Teresa's Adventure."]

[Out of malice, the protagonist Teresa's illustrations had an undeniable resemblance to the real Theresa.]

[The book was quickly discovered by Cecilia, who came for a visit. After reading it, she praised your talent and happily shared it with her former teammates. Eventually, the book made its way into the hands of every Valkyrie in Schicksal through Siegfried Kaslana's efforts.]

[Whenever the Valkyries meet Theresa, they would recite her classic lines...]

["Believe in your heart, for it is your power! Come with me and shine brightly!"]

[Theresa could only feel darkness before her.]

[After reading your work, Theresa was greatly shocked. She quickly found you and, after signing a series of unequal treaties, you agreed not to publish a sequel to this book. You finally scored a point.]

[At the age of 14, you continued to refine your cooking skills. Siegfried's family still maintained a regular frequency of enjoying meals together. Although Cecilia's cooking skills were not bad, you felt that it was great to have lively and joyful meals. Little Kiana also loved the dishes you made and even learned to call you "brother" to enjoy more delicious meals. You were happy about it because you didn't like Kiana calling you "Onii-chan."]

[At 15, the corrosion of your left hand intensified. You decided to leave the Valkyrie gathering base, heading outside to live.]

[There was no objection within the family. While there might be dangers outside, staying in this headquarters filled with Valkyries and Honkai energy was a slow death for you.]

[You left Schicksal's floating island and settled in Berlin, purchasing a property with your parents' inheritance.]

[There, you encountered the future Second Herrscher—Sirin.]

Author's Note! (TN: Not me)

After discussing with my sister Falaina, this book is finally going to be published!

I, Lina, haven't had any prior experience with publication, so let me say a few words casually.

This is my first published book, and it's also the first time I, the author, have published a book. Yes, I don't have an alternate account. If you notice similarities between this book and others, it's purely coincidental.

My journey in writing began during the summer vacation of my first year in high school. With nothing to do, I attempted to write a free fanfiction combining Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact. I was 16 at the time, and when signing the contract, I even had my parents sign as guardians. My parents were worried I might get scammed but still supported my decision.

As the second year of high school started, updates became irregular due to the boarding school system, allowing me only one day off per week. I managed to finish the first free fanfiction during the second semester of my second year. Though the ending was not perfect, I did complete it.

Afterward, with half of the winter vacation remaining, I felt a bit bored and started another book. I wanted to bring out the ideas in my mind. Of course, I was aware that transitioning from the second year to the third would bring a heavy workload, so this book was not contracted. I just wanted to write the story in my heart...

Of course, the Genshin story was indeed dropped. It's undeniable; I didn't touch it for a year and a half, and my enthusiasm for Genshin was long gone. It couldn't be continued.

The college entrance exam finally ended, and it didn't disappoint after these days of hard work. I performed exceptionally well during the exam, surpassing my usual scores by thirty to forty points. I contributed my best score to the college entrance exam. I'm very happy about it.

After that, I picked up my pen again and wrote this book.

I admit that I am an immature newcomer, and this book has many flaws. But I really like a phrase praised by Lenin —

"But I'm still learning."

In conclusion, thanks to all the readers who have supported me so far. Whether it's support, criticism, or urging for updates, it has all been the motivation that kept me going.

Whether you are an old reader who has been supporting me from my previous book until now or a new reader who came in with this book, thank you very much for your support.

This simulation is the last one for Siegfried. He's about to win the resurrection match!

As for the issue that many readers have been discussing—the shortness of the Honkai mainline, I had already thought about it before writing.

Regarding the concern that readers think the Honkai mainline is too short and not enough to write about, please rest assured. In my conception, the Honkai mainline will be linked through the simulator, not a simulation, but a mainline that will be cleared in one play!

Winning the resurrection match, Siegfried, and the bug that hasn't escaped the queen's clutches yet, hehe!

Look forward to the next story.

It will be available for purchase tomorrow, so please contribute to the first order. I, Lina, will update more tomorrow! Let's try to hit a milestone with ten thousand words!
