565 Three Is A Crowd

The happy mood in Crystal City couldn't be felt in Kaia Kingdom, and especially in their imperial palace. In fact, Kamryn couldn't remember the last time she felt happy for anything.

She been trying to maintain an indifferent disposition at all times lately. Apathy was her mask of choice any time Thallan was around.

If he notices that she enjoys or likes something, he would go out of his way to destroy it. One of her maids had met a bitter end that way when Thallan had saw how much she liked speaking with the older female.

The female servant didn't know what she had done to deserve the King's ire. She had begged for days to be let down as he had her strung up by her arms in front of Kamryn's bedroom windows until Kamryn took it upon herself put the poor female out of her misery.

Now, Kamryn didn't get close to anyone and no one got close to her.

If she could make it through the day without any attention draw to herself, she would call it a good day.
