3 Chapter 3 - Weak heart

"Enough Enchantress!" Hippolyta yelled while she shook her head from the horrible end of the illusion she wished to deny, her sword cracking the ground lightly as she held herself up on her knees with it.

"You may deny it all you wish, but I know of what desire lies within your heart. Something that will never be, and something that will happen if you sway from your path." Enchantress pulled her tendrils back, her spine glowing as she spoke down to Hippolyta. "What will you do now, you alone are not enough." Enchantress said, Hippolyta and herself knowing she did not have the power alone to stop her.

"I merely need to buy time." Hippolyta said, her words strained as she used her strength to rise, her legs flexing as she threw her sword. It's tip aimed at Enchantress, flying without Interruption as it cut the air.

"Is that all, I expected more.." Enchantress held her hand up, pulling it back as if in a flicking motion, but stopped as her chest was struck from behind, a hand coming threw her stomach as she turned her head. "Artemis.." Enchantress's eyes looked shocked at the woman who stood behind her, blood dripping from her lips as Artemis twisted her arm.

"Enchantress, it seems your victories have made you lower your guard, without your brother here, did you think you could do it alone?" Artemis said, yet her voice was not one of victory, her eyes seemed to lose their glow while she looked at Enchantress, but all the same she spoke on Enchantress's lack of awareness.

"uh.." Enchantress spit up blood, as Hippolyta's sword hit above her heart. Her eyes glowed green as she smiled slightly at Artemis. "That is why none of them came to stop me, luring my brother away from me in false hope." Enchantress couldn't help but laugh at their plan, her eyes looking at Hippolyta who walked forward.

"See, buying time." Hippolyta said, her body weak from the mental and physical stress that she had been through, cracking a small smile as she gripped her swords hilt.

"That is more like what I expected, the gods do love their toys." Enchantress said feeling her chest be cut open as she looked into Hippolyta's eyes. "There is no turning back, Hippolyta." Enchantress had a strange look as she watched Hippolyta turn her head away.

"Hippolyta do not listen to her, do it before it is to late!" Artemis yelled out, confused at their conversation but knew they had no time.

"I know lady Artemis! No matter what you say, this is the fate you chose for yourself." Hippolyta yelled, cutting open Enchantress's chest as she reached within, pulling her green heart out of her body.

"And what of him, who else's fate is sealed." Enchantress said, her eyes widening at seeing her heart but she soon relaxed as she looked at the sky.

"Move your ass Hippolyta!" Artemis said, watching as Hippolyta followed Enchantress's eyes to the sky, her hand pulling out of Enchantress's stomach as she grabbed Hippolyta and pulled her away, their feet dragged across the stone as they made distance.

Enchantress's body seemed to fall slowly as a boom could be heard, the sky cracking as something glowing fell towards the earth, its weight cracking the stone as dust blew across the floor. Artemis held up her arms, blocking the force of the blowing wind from Hippolyta who covered her face with her forearm. The smoke rolled as glowing could be seen within, slowly it disappeared as a large figure knelt while holding Enchantress in his arms.

"To-kno Ah-vav ch-avh." (Sister, what has happened.) The beings deep voice rang out, his hand rubbing along the scar on his sister's chest as he looked at her power flick within her body.

"They took it.." Enchantress who was weak could only get out a few words, her eyes looking over to the other side of the flat temple, "My heart.." she said in a bitter tone as she felt her brother rub her face gently.

"It is my fault, I did not think they would use something like this." Incubus said, his mind being fed only the last moments of the fight as Enchantress touched his temple. "It is unlike you Hippolyta, to fight in such a way, you as well Artemis." Incubus's eyes looked over the two, his words ignored the look of worry within Hippolyta's eyes as he laid Enchantress down, the stone cracking as he made his way in front of Artemis, kicking her as she bent, flying into a pillar that fell on top of her, the sound echoing throughout the flat temple as he reached his hand out.

"Is this the honor you Amazon's and gods speak of so much?" Incubus said, his hand reaching to Hippolyta's neck, but before he could grip his hand moved back as he asked her a question.

"There was no other way. Incubus you must see reason, can you not see her for what she has done." Hippolyta watched his hand fall, her eyes closing as she could feel his warmth so close, but could not grasp at it as she tried to reason with Incubus again.

"And what of you, can you not see the humans for what they are, what your gods wish them to be." Incubus said, the energy within his arm shaking as a tendril shot out of the center of his hand, gripping Ares as he came from the sky, slamming him into the ground as a bolt of lightning hit him in the arm, pushing him back still standing along the ground.

"It seems we are all here. So tell me, what is it you want with my sister's heart." Incubus rolled his shoulders, his skin and armor reshaping after the lightning struck his arm. His words spoken in a questioning tone as he looked out, the gods standing in front of Hippolyta, Artemis who pushed the pillar off her body, the humans, Amazon's, and Atlanteans standing behind them as they held up their swords, bows, along with their shields.

"In times like this does it matter, there is nothing left to be said, all this ends here Incubus." Zeus said as his eyes cracked with lightning, his hands stretching out as lightning fluctuate between his palms.

"The same tricks do not work on me." Incubus said, his hand pointing back as a tendril shot out, grabbing the queen of the amazons who tried to reach his sister's body. "If there is nothing to say, let us begin." His tendril brought her to his hand as it stunk within her chest, throwing her into the army as she started to shake.

"Queen Aemma!!" The amazons yelled, even Hippolyta's eyes widen with anger as she watched the woman's body hit the ground.

"Out of the way, all of you move back now!" Ares said, trying to kick the Queen's body away, yet he was stopped, being thrown back by Zeus, they all watched as her body exploded in a mess of tar-black like spikes, they towered high in the sky as the ground cracked again, Incubus jumping into the sky as he slammed into the earth once more.

"Amazon's! this is no time to mourn! raise your weapons and fight! If we do not end it here, how much more will be lost, how many of our sisters will be left to lay on the battlefield! Stand your ground and fight!" Hippolyta looked around, her heart twisted but she could not let it rule her, watching the dust clear as her sisters lay on the ground a mess, her voice growing loud as she pushed her body forward.

"Ahhh!" Like a fire, her words spread across the battlefield as they let out a war cry that could crack even the strongest stone.
