Roommate

After having a heartfelt disscusion with his agent, Mateo returned to his apartment in the far south west of Los Angeles.

His mother Emily still lives in New York with his two younger sisters Olivia and Daisy, but he moved to LA last year after he turned sixteen, and rented an apartment near Hollywood. Living close to hollywood would be beneficial for his career, and Emily also agreed because of this.

But the closest apartment he could get was his current one, which is still twenty minutes of distance away from Hollywood. It's not like more closer ones weren't avalaible, but he simply couldn't afford them.

In Hollywood, the rents are too sky high. Therefore, most of the low earning actors like him and newcomers who come to Hollywood to develop, they live in the communities at some distance from the hollywood. The further you move away from hollywood, the rents continue to decrease.

Mateo opened the apartment door through his key and entered. The apartment he lives in is a sharing one for two people. It has two rooms with attached bathrooms, a small kitchen, a lounge, and a small balcony. In the surrounding apartments, it is one of the best.

At the beginning, he was renting it alone, but after his expenses increased and income lowered, he wisely chose to find a roommate for himself. In this way, rent, electricity bill and all other household expenses would be divided.

In the lounge, his roommate Gerard was watching the TV. He saw Mateo coming and greeted. "How was the day buddy?"

Gerard is a handsome Scottish guy who resigned from his job as a lawyer, and came to hollywood to become an actor. Some might say it was a wrong decision, but in Mateo's eyes, it was totally worth it. It would have been pity if such a handsome guy didn't become an actor.

"It was okay. Paul said he would inform me in few days." Mateo replied, and sat on the sofa beside Gerard to rest. It was too cold outside.

Gerard showed envy: "I am kinda Jealous. Your agent is too good. Look at my Sam, he has a 'you owe me money' face everyday."

Mateo laughed loudly and couldn't control his smile for a while. "Sam isn't that bad. It's just that you haven't seen real bad ones yet. Anyway, you don't worry. You will get your break one day too." he then pointed at himself, "Look at me, I have been in this industry from the age of eight, and now at seventeen now, I am still struggling. Its been whole nine years now."

He wasn't just comforting when he said about becoming famous. From the memory he got, he knows that Gerard will become an A-list actor in future, although it will take some time. Sometimes, when he is a little too emotional, he kinds of start envying Garry too.

Gerald didn't pay attention to his friend's words as he was too lost in the beautiful smile in front of him. It was only after Mateo called him third time that he regained his focus. Looking at the worried face which was just smiling a moment ago, Gerard felt embarrassed. He changed the subject: "I made some pasta. You wanna try some?"

Mateo nodded, putting a hand on his stomach: "Yes, I am feeling hungry."

Gerard hurriedly stood up and went to the kitchen, but his footsteps stopped after hearing the words from behind: "You are so handsome Garry. I wish I had muscles and body like you."

Gerard turned his head and found the chattering guy looking at his muscles, and then raising his arm to compare them to his own.

Gerard twitched. Is this guy really a fool, or pretending to be one. Should he consider this as a harassment. Looking at the smooth white arms in front of him, a line automatically popped up from his mouth: "They are good like this." It's hard for him to imagine Mateo as a muscular man. It would be too wierd. He looks good the way he is now.

Mateo raised his head in confusion: "What??"

"Nothing" Gerard quickened his pace and left the scene.

The little fool was left in the lounge alone, lost in his own thoughts of having a big muscular build and looking handsome.

If someone was to hear Mateo's inner thoughts, he would be too angry and pissed off that he will want to strangle this idiot who thinks he is not handsome enough yet. If Mateo isn't considered handsome, then all the other men in the world should be called ugly without a doubt. Mateo is one of the most handsome and beautiful guys one would ever see in his life. Although calling a man beautiful doesn't feel very pleasant, but there is no way to describe Mateo without using the word beautiful.

Gerard and Mateo both are handsome, but in their own respective ways. Their handsomeness is complete opposite. Mateo is a sweet beautiful boy with blonde hair, blue eyes, smooth glowing white skin without any pores or blemishes, a height of 1.75 m, and facial features too beautiful and perfect that no woman can ever remain indifferent to him. When he is smiling, he is like a small sun, bright and warm. But with little change in expressions, he can also be as cold as ice.

So, for the people who know Mateo, he is like a bright and warm little sun. But for those he doesn't like, he is a cold and indifferent Ice prince.

Gerard on the other hand is a handsome Scottish hunk with muscular athletic body and height of 1.89 m. He has brown hair, grey green eyes, bronzed tan skin which is a little rough, and tough but well proportioned facial features. He is the type of guy which most of the men and especially adolescent boys prefer. The same goes for Mateo. In his eyes, being handsome is about having good amount of muscles and tough looks. As for his own looks, he doesn't give a damn about it.
