A path forward

John Miller sat at his cluttered desk, the weight of his dreams pressing upon him. With pen in hand, he stared at the blank sheet of paper, the canvas for his cinematic aspirations. This was his moment to bring forth a list of potential movies that could captivate audiences. The room buzzed with possibility, but as he began to write down titles, a sense of unease crept over him.

"Pulp Fiction... Forrest Gump... The Matrix..." he murmured, listing iconic films from the 90s that had left an indelible mark on cinema. Yet, a nagging doubt lingered within him. Suddenly John heard a ping and in the corner of his eye he saw something. When he focused on this small blue square it grew larger and enveloped his entire few but instead of being scared he was in awe of the an array of enticing skills and scripts. Excitement mingled with frustration as he realized to get these skills he needed to buy them but his lack of funds, prevented him from acquiring the necessary tools to excel in his newfound pursuit. Disappointment threatened to engulf him, whispering echoes of missed opportunities and failure.

But just as he prepared to close the screen in resignation, a small notification bell in the corner of the interface just above the image of a man captured his gaze. A glimmer of hope ignited within him, urging him to investigate further. With a tentative click, a new tab opened, unveiling a notification that read, "You have received the Starter Pack. Would you like to receive your reward?"

Curiosity mingled with cautious optimism as John pressed the "Receive" button. A burst of light emanated from the screen, unveiling a virtual box adorned with a bow. His hands trembled with anticipation as he clicked on the box, revealing its contents.

To his delight, the Starter Pack contained a selection of basic editing skills and a script—the script for the groundbreaking found-footage horror film, "The Blair Witch Project." John's heart quickened as he recognized the immense potential in his possession. With his knowledge from the future, he could employ editing techniques and tricks of the trade that were yet to be widely known. His experience as an ads director, accustomed to achieving bigger things with smaller budgets, would also prove invaluable in this endeavor.
