335 Chapter 335: Me Too

At the Pinewood Studios press room during the press conference for "The Bourne Supremacy," a TMZ reporter queried Matt Damon about his opinion on the Brad Pitt nanny scandal.

Damon's demeanor turned gravely serious, and he didn't hesitate to express his standpoint: "Many people stand in solidarity with Jolie and Aniston, MeToo! Starting today, I will not collaborate with Pitt under any circumstances." Simultaneously,

In Los Angeles, Ben Affleck also distanced himself from Brad Pitt.

With or without Pitt's agreement, he found himself ousted from the Football League.

Women in Hollywood displayed astute judgment. By confronting Pitt, they seized an opportunity to champion more rights for themselves, and they came forward one after the other.

As the outcry gained momentum, even male celebrities who professed support for women joined in condemning the fallen star.

When one falls, many can reap the benefits.

As a close friend of the two primary victims and a leader in left-wing female perspectives, Martin discussed Brad Pitt in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Gillian Flynn conducted the interview: "Both Ms. Jolie and Ms. Aniston mentioned one thing during their interviews. You played a crucial role in their reconciliation process. Can you shed some light on what you did?"

It wasn't fitting to discuss topics like poker games, lubrication, and hot dogs, so Martin responded earnestly: "Initially, I served as a mediator, conveying their grievances to each other. However, they discovered that neither party had truly erred. They talked on the phone and realized that Brad Pitt had manipulated them. I chose the right moment to facilitate their meeting."

He added with a smile, "The fact is, Jane and Angie wouldn't have turned against each other if not for the instigation by the troublemaker."

Following the script, Gillian inquired, "Pete's actions have incited industry-wide outrage and boycotts. What are your thoughts on this?"

"Me Too!" Martin echoed, citing Jolie: "I will not participate in any film or television projects involving Brad Pitt. I will avoid sharing the stage or attending award ceremonies with him. I will also refrain from using any products he endorses."

Having achieved his objectives, he went with the flow. Throughout, Martin had never intended to be the first to take a stand.

After the interview, Martin returned to the lounge, where Bruce handed him a phone, saying, "Leonardo called."

Martin dialed back and asked, "Is there an issue with me?"

Leonardo appeared accusatory, saying, "Are you still a member of the trio? Have you forgotten our commitments?"

Recently transformed into a better person by the Landlords, Martin struggled to recall the intentions of the infamous trio: "Have I forgotten?"

Leonardo expressed frustration, "Now, my mind is filled with Jolie and Aniston. Have you forgotten old Jack and me? Have you forsaken your true love?" He reminded, "My film 'Blood Diamond' is about to premiere."

Martin's recollection returned, "Don't worry, I'll be there for the premiere."

Leonardo's anger abated, and he promised, "I'll have an invitation sent to your agency." The formal invitation process for the premiere needed to be adhered to.

As Martin prepared to exit and get into his car, Thomas called and conveyed that he had received an invitation from Leonardo. He also mentioned a discussion with Simone and Filippo from Brioni Company about endorsement cooperation, offering to sponsor Martin's red carpet attire.

Martin readily accepted the offer, agreeing, "I'll visit their store on Rodeo Drive tomorrow when I have some free time." The premiere of "Blood Diamond" was just two days away, so there was ample time for custom tailoring, although Martin's physique made finding ready-to-wear attire a breeze.

The following morning, as Martin was selecting formal attire, he received a call from Georgina Chapman.

"Hello, Martin, I've confirmed my fashion party. Will you be able to attend?" Georgina enthusiastically extended the invitation, saying, "Feel free to bring your friends along."

Inquiring about the time, Martin assured, "No problem, I'll be there on time."

Georgina added, "I'll arrange to have an invitation sent to you." Aware of Martin's rising fame and associations with numerous actresses, she mentioned, "The invitation has no restrictions. You can bring as many guests as you like."

Martin acknowledged, "I understand. I'll definitely attend to show my support."

Aniston, who was assisting Martin with his attire selection, inquired when she saw him end the call, "Georgina? She invited you to a fashion party?"

Martin briefly explained, "It's actually for you and Angie. She wants me to invite both of you. She's established a women's fashion brand targeting the high-end market, and she intends to sponsor actresses for the Oscars red carpet."

Aniston nodded, though curious, "I recall Georgina Chapman is Harvey Weinstein's wife, and you have a tumultuous history with Harvey."

Martin clarified, "It's unrelated to Harvey. Georgina is a close friend of Kate Winslet. Kate and I were friends during our time in Atlanta, and she also extended an invitation to me."

As they headed back, Martin placed a call to Jolie. Jolie was preparing to accompany her son and daughter to Southeast Asia for the New Year, embarking on a new mission to aid refugees.

Her homeland continued to contribute to the refugee crisis.

Prior to the upcoming weekend, "Blood Diamond" hosted a modest premiere in Los Angeles.

As a member of the Badass Trio, Martin was sure not to miss it.

He strolled quietly down the red carpet and made his way into the theater.

The premiere had a limited number of general audience members; most attendees were industry insiders, critics, and media reporters.

Outside the theater, a sizable group of diamond industry protesters had gathered.

However, in a city accustomed to protests against Hollywood films, the commotion went largely unnoticed.

Once inside, Martin spotted Kate Winslet and warmly embraced her, saying, "You're as beautiful as ever."

Kate smiled and replied, "You haven't lost your charm."

Martin chuckled, "I'm the epitome of honesty; I always speak the truth."

Unexpectedly, Jack Nicholson popped up from behind, saying, "I hope I'm not interrupting, am I?"

Martin, a bit puzzled, responded, "You know you are, but did you come here to interrupt?"

Kate gestured toward them and said, "You two go ahead and talk."

After Kate left, Nicholson inquired, "I heard your recent film is quite grand."

Martin replied, "Generally, I can't do anything without you; it's always on a grand scale."

Nicholson shifted the topic, "Brad Pitt is in a tough spot. I read the newspapers, and you issued a statement, too, right?"

Martin shrugged, "It's the trend. When you mess up, you can't avoid the fallout. The key is to use your influence."

Nicholson agreed, "When it comes to causing trouble, he's far behind me, Warren Beatty, Leo, and even you."

Martin retorted, "Don't compare me to you perverts."

Ignoring the comment, Nicholson mused, "We all value individuality and don't impose on others. When we come together to have fun, it's an equal opportunity for both men and women."

Martin acknowledged, "I didn't expect you, Jack, to have such a clear perspective."

Nicholson asked jokingly, "Do you think I'm a pervert like Marlon Brando?"

But their conversation was interrupted by a young girl who quickly approached them and greeted Nicholson, saying, "Jack, I looked everywhere for you. It turns out you're here."

Martin briefly glanced at the girl, who appeared to be around seventeen or eighteen, and looked somewhat familiar.

After a moment of recollection, Martin remembered that Jennifer Lawrence was once remembered for her unordox conducts such as falling on ocsers.

Nicholson introduced the two of them, saying, "Jenny, this is Martin, my best friend. Martin, this is Jennifer Lawrence. I mentioned her when we were filming in New York."

Martin greeted her politely and exchanged a few words with Jennifer.

Jennifer asked Nicholson, "Jack, aren't you going to introduce me to the producer?"

Nicholson reassured her, "Don't worry, I'll help you secure a role in an American TV series. It's a step-by-step process. You go and have a look; I have something else to take care of here."

Reluctantly, Jennifer left.

Due to the Hollywood scandal, Martin had some recollection of this individual. It seemed she had some involvement with Nicholson initially and later became associated with Harvey Weinstein.

As they moved away, Martin asked, "Leo and I will support you later, right?"

Nicholson understood the reference and responded, "She's not seventeen; I'm not that foolish."

Leonardo approached and added, "Martin, we won't be bailing out this troublemaker. We'll sever ties directly."

Nicholson sighed, "I thought the 'face gang' and the 'foot gang' were different, but it turns out they're the same."

Martin laughed, "If Leo doesn't help you, I will."

Nicholson quipped, "Aren't you afraid I'll run away?"

Martin replied affectionately, "I trust you won't let Leo and me down."

Nicholson concluded, "The only thing I can't let go of is the Lakers."

Leonardo urged them to proceed to their seats, whispering as they walked, "The date for Ambrosio's bachelorette party has been set. It will be during the Christmas holiday, and she plans to rent an island in the Caribbean." Martin and Leonardo exchanged knowing glances.

Nicholson expressed his dissatisfaction, "You two want me to foot the bill again? You're having fun without paying..."

Martin clarified, "I'm organizing the theme of the party."

Leonardo added, "I'm coordinating the event."

Nicholson's conscience caught up with him, "I can't just be a spectator."

Martin patted Nicholson's back and made his way to his seat.
