1 1. Make Peace

On 5000....

Thousands of years after the destruction of the universe, a new world was created with all sorts of rules in it. Humans were born with wings and were made so that they could see the beauty of the world from the sky like a free-flying bird. At least that is what ren, a student from a past academy who is fascinated by the creation of the world.

"Ren!"

Ren looked up to the sky when he heard someone calling her name. "Hey, Ozi!" She waved with a big smile. Ozi was the only friend he had as a child. Seeing her best friend can fly that high, make her a little envious.

Ozi took a little time to land as she flew ten meters in flight. "I've got what you need!" Blurted cheerfully. She lifted a thick book bound in dark brown with gold writing.

Ren answered the book with a twinkle in her eye. "Woah! Where'd you get that? Isn't this too expensive for you to buy your own?"

Ozi was leaning his shoulders and scratching at the back of his head. "I took it from my father's personal library," he blurted.

Instantly, Ren's expression flattened. "Give it back! "He said reluctantly while rubbing the book against Ozi's chest. Ozi has the book.

Ozi sighed with a sad face. "Ren, you really need this. Aren't you dying to fly?"

"Your father must be very upset to find out about this," he said with a hint of disappointment. What's more, she knew that Ozi's father had disliked her all along. What's more, she has to come back to reality. "You also know that I intentionally asked you to help me search the Cloud Library... because I can't get there."

Born as a human with beautiful wings would not make Ren's more special than others. In the end, she couldn't use it to fly. Since childhood, all she wanted to see was the beauty of the village, but she can't.

"Ren, one day you will fly like us. Don't give up and fly with me someday. We see the beauty of the world you've never seen before," Ozi tap Ren on the shoulder with a smile. His dimple looks quite deep on one side. It almost glared at Ren for being awed by the sweetness of the man's face next to him.

"Can you take me up the cliff tomorrow? " Asked Ren with a slight smile. Ozi answered with a nod.

Only two areas are formed in Aves City. Aves Village white is a very beautiful place so far. There's still a lot of woods and a lot of animals in there. Makes the air very clean and cool. Another region is Aves City, which is full of pollution. Tall buildings were built to impress the world with luxury.

Ren sighed heavily and closed the book he was reading. She was sitting in a big branch of a tree in front of the academy. "Why are the two regions so different? Why don't the two boroughs work together to get better? Why didn't they -"

"Why are you so curious about that?" Ozi cut the line of ren's questions talking to himself. He leaned against the tree in a standing position, then threw an apple at the girl who had been perfectly captured.

Ren sniffed. "Is it wrong for me to make peace with the other territories?"

"Not wrong. It just can't happen, "he blurted casually, chewing an apple in his hand. Fresh morning for eating freshly picked red apples.

Ren knows how hard that can be. The two regions that had long been at odds, gave the impression that they had no trust in one another. But even she knows that nothing is impossible in this world. Therefore, she kept hoping for something that most people thought was impossible.

Suddenly, the rest of the apple was thrown on ren's head to cause a stir. "What? "Asked ren indignantly. Ozi gestured with his chin. "Uncle?"

A middle-aged man approached them. "Can you get down from there?" Ren nodded and came down without protest. "Are you sure you're pooping?"

Ozi quickly made up that surprised face. Ren patted him on the shoulder with his eyes wide open. He immediately joined the two hands together as an apology.

"Uncle Nobi, this tree is only about two meters tall. That's nothing compared to the cliff at the end of it," said the answer to the collapse of her uncle's actual form of a joke.

Ren is used to joking about her phobia. Besides, she doesn't have to be so sad all the time. Instead, the whereabouts of uncle Nobi and Ozi made him quite happy. However, there was one thing she didn't like about her uncle.

"Uncle Nobi, do you have the jokes today?" Ask Ozi to lure Nobi to take out his jokes.

"Do you know how the apple falls down?" Ozi and ren looked at each other and shook their heads. "If it falls down, not up!" Began Nobi with a big burst of laughter. Ozi laughed emptily while nodding his head, ren laughed only lazily. That's the very cringe jokes that are always given by Nobi. A jokes fathers they often hear from other fathers.

After being satisfied with his laughter, Nobi simply shut up and remembered its first quest for ren. "Oh yeah. Tonight, you need to go to the doctor to check on your wing condition."

On a clear day, Ozi kept his promise to accompany ren up the cliff. They often went there just to see the view of the village or to help ren overcome the phobia he owned.

"Hop on!" Ozi asked ren to get on his back.
