Third Person's POV:

As much as she wants to sooth the poor tiny quivering boy, coax him into trusting her and believing she only means well, unfortunately she have rather more important matters to deal with, first.

Like needing to get them both out of here before he comes for them.

"It's alright, I got you now. Trust me, please, you have to come with-"

From behind them and around the corner a sound of a door slowly creaking reached their ears before the telltale noise of shoes silently and slowly scraping against the thick layer of dirt caused them a frenzy of panic.

She hurriedly ran to the camera where it fell a few paces away. Getting out in one piece was important but this camera more essentially the feed in it was competing damn close.

Hastily she picked it up. To her horror the camera fell in pieces back on the floor making yet another sound, slightly smaller than the last one, still significant enough to pinpoint their exact location to a keen ear.

But that wasn't the whole reason of her shock. It mainly revolved around the condition her camera was in; in no way salvageable.

Was this all for nothing in the end?

Her head snapped to the direction where she could hear the footsteps coming towards the same lobby as her and the boy.

No, she was not giving up just yet.

Cleverly she picked up the middle portion of the camera and started to pull the metal compartments until finally she successfully took out what she was looking for, the memory card.

To her immense relief the memory card was completely unscathed and in mint condition, just like Mr. Ambrose's coat; old but still mint.

With a smile half of relief over the camera and half for how she was although afraid for her life, still felt a rush of adrenaline coursing through her veins making her feel livelier than usual; so much so that she was even thinking of small jokes related to her favorite book characters. Well either that was the fault of her adrenaline or something is seriously wrong with her to be thinking like that in a condition this dire.

She turned to the boy who's still standing where he was before. She tried to run and grab the boy to get behind any unlocked door in the place so they could hide because she could tell Ford was now about right around the corner.

However before she could make it to the boy, he jumped up in alert.

Perhaps her sudden movements spooked the boy or something else she would never know because he turned and bolted in the opposite direction of her. Straight to the direction of real danger.
