''Make a choice, annalise.'' Dante's voice snapped her focus from the past. She blinked her eyes and focused on the red eyes that were devoid of warmth.

Eyes that her happiness ended with, on that day.

''The child, or you answer my questions?''

''...You have changed.'' She voiced her thoughts to him. The Dante she knew and loved, would not be so cruel to end a child's life. That was the child they had brought up together. Even if the child was not his, he should at least have affection because of the years they spent together as a family. 

The time they took care of the child personally unlike noble families that allow their children to be a nanny's care.

The time they watched the child take his first step

The time she would watch Dante and the child running around the garden.

The time they slept with the child in the middle of them.
