When they settled in the capital, his mother took him and his step-siblings to the tea party of the Second Empress. The Second Empress wanted to decide on playmates for the second prince and also the unfavoured first prince.

Obviously, no one wanted to be the first prince's playmates. Every noble family rushed for the position of the second prince's playmates.

The Second prince was likely to be the crown prince and the future emperor. Whoever became his playmate could be his closest aide in the future, and that was a beneficial position in the nobility.

They got to the tea party and greeted the second empress. Then, he and his step-siblings joined other children flattering the second prince, who was a year older than him.

His step-siblings, without a doubt, abandoned him, and, for some reason, other children did not play with him.
