64 A master and servant's relationship

Tension, anxiety and Fear.

The servants felt these three emotions when working around the hayes duchy. The rumors about their duchess, whether it was true or not, they did not know.

However, in their eyes, there is a war between the second madam and the duchess but…something just did not settle right with them.

The duke and the second madam…these two behave as if nothing was wrong. They talk, eat, walk around and showcase their love as if the duchess was not being insulted outside. They just seemed too ruthless.

The duchess was quiet as usual. Some of the servants had caught glimpses of her during her walk to her favorite garden, though it had reduced, probably due to the unborn child. The fact that she did not raise her voice against the duke and the mistress was something they could not fathom.
