His Toxic Addiction

"....She was his drug, he was her water..." ............. Arissa had always been an avid fan of freedom. She hated nothing more than being tied down to a relationship, especially when she was still in her early twenties. Yet, her parents had come up with an ultimatum marriage proposal. Strong-willed, confident, independent, and wild Arissa was forced to be humble to her parents and grant their wish of doing something extreme to her to save the life of someone she loves to a fault... And let's not forget, she lives for that person. Fast forwarding to Nicklaus Wyatt, we have a successful, cold-hearted, and Dominant CEO. On the outside, he is the most successful man on planet Earth and the most eligible bachelor but on the inside, he is an extremely damaged and broken soul of no repairs. His mysterious Aura also made it extremely hard for anyone to come close so, they just admired him from a distance. He only has one wish and that is to expand his empire more and not some stupid marriage proposal. So, do we think he would accept the marriage deal?? ....... "I'm your wife and yet, we live like strangers do!" Arissa seethed, gripping his tie in her fist as she tried to support herself. "Of course, it would eventually result in something as ridiculous as a cheating scandal. We aren't even acting like a normal couple should!" She emphasized lowly. Bringing her hand to wrap around his neck, she suddenly missed her footing again and then, she braced herself for the fall about to come but surprisingly, a strong arm for the second time in a night, held her waist firmly. Arissa smiled drunkenly as she made herself comfortable in his strong arms. Bringing her both hands to his checks, she gave them a pinch. "You were scared I would fall?" she asked him with a drunken smile. Yet, that smile was quickly replaced with a frown when she met with nothing but a cold gaze in reply. She pouted and brought her hand to his mouth. Tracing his lips with her slender fingers, "We don't even kiss" she complained with a smile, and at the same time, unknown tears slipped from her eyes. Nicklaus stared at her tears and down at her plump-tinted red lips. He stared at her face again and at her eyes that are already fully stocked with tears and without a second thought, he bent slightly and gave her a light kiss on her lips. SPOILER ALERT::Don't expect a fast romance. Romance would come late because both ML and FL are hard to tame. Their relationship would also go through numerous ups and downs, including occasional break-ups, aggressive ex-girlfriends, attempted murderers, and more. But, would their love strive through all the obstacles or would a few blows and manipulation crumble them Disclaimer: cover is not mine. Daily update, 14 chapters a week. Bonus chapters when pleased. Those Scumbags!!

Opening her eyes, Arissa faced reality as the soreness between her legs harshly reminded her that she was no longer a virgin.

She looked beside her but the handsome stranger was no longer in the room. She sighs and rubbed her temple when she saw herself clothless as last night flooded back into her memory.

"That bastard," she spits out when she felt pain while trying to sit up. She exhaled as she got used to the pain before pushing herself to the bed headboard and sitting up with the duvet around her body.

She relaxed a bit before looking around.

Seems like he was a total clean freak because the room is already well organized with her clothes and heel arranged on the room's ash couch.

Her eyes shrank with the thought of someone seeing her naked and in an awkward position.

Her first time was awkward because contrary to what Jocelyn said, he did not kiss her lips but only kissed every part of her body - apart from her lips.

She raised the duvet and touched her pussy when she remembered that he also kissed and licked her there. She felt heat coming up her body again but with embarrassment and not of last night's pleasure.

She expected pain as hell because of how rough he warned her he would be but to her surprise, he held back and did his best to be gentle.

It wasn't like she did not go to the hell he talked about. She did go to hell but the good news is that she also went to heaven after spending a few minutes in hell.

'Ding,' something rang in her mind.

Hell shit, what is the time?

She immediately ignored the pain and rolled over to the lampstand and picked up her cell phone. Her heart dropped into her stomach when she saw 93 missed calls from her parents.

"Those scumbags!!" she hissed.

She was glad that she muted them if not, she would have spoilt her night with their calls. Her eyes moved over to Jocelyn's name and calmed down when she saw only two missed calls and a neutral message.

This means that her sister was alright.

"Fuck," She cursed under her breath when she saw the time. It was 9 am and her marriage meeting is exactly this time while she was still in bed reprogramming her time with a stranger.

Arissa hurriedly stretched her hand to her clothes and grab them before putting them on hurriedly and in the next eight minutes, she was out of the room and out of the clubhouse also.

...

Arissa walked through the corridor with haste. She needs to attend to her sister first before those despicable beings she calls her parents.

She opened the door softly before walking in only to see Jocelyn sleeping beside her sister and using the side of the bed as her headrest.

She walked lightly so she would not wake Jocelyn up. She was part of the reason why she's sleeping now and that was because she was up all night with her and, she also, watched over Adele.

She gently drooped the food and fruits she bought onto the table before dropping her heels on the leg side of the couch.

Everything was alright just that Adele is still asleep and seems not to have woken up. Her heart yearned to look into her sister's eyes and hear her chirping laughter again but it seems like that would wait for a while and maybe she can hear that when she is back from the meeting.

She took a sit on the next chair beside her sister's and sat down. Those monsters can wait for all she cares because Jocelyn would have to wake up first and report to her if there were any previous progress on her sister's health last night.

Her phone suddenly vibrated in her hand and she looked down at it and not surprisingly, it was a message from her father_

[Mr. Adams is downstairs]

Her gaze saddened before she turned the phone over again to hide the screen. It's already 9:57 am and that only means they want to remind her that the meeting is today and no matter how she wants to, she can not escape this day.

It is the day she would be sold out to whoever her parents choose for her that would help them back to their glory again.

She licked her lower lips before standing up softly from her seat. Now, she would need to go back to the mansion and get wrapped up to meet with her groom.

"Lyn," she tapped her best friend's arm lightly so she would wake up. Not going over to Mr. Adams right now would only mean that he might bring her parents here.

Not because they care, but because they would want to know where Adele is admitted for their benefit, and after today, she would surely ask Collins for help so that they would transfer Adele to hiding even from Mr. Adams.

Unlike her, Jocelyn isn't a light but a deep sleeper "Lyn," and it was only when she shook her arm again did she woke up, "I have to get going. I would explain everything that happened when am back but, for now, I have to get going," she explained arranging Jocelyn night black hair that is now a bit ruffled.

"You just came back," Jocelyn said with a raised brow as she scanned Arissa as if trying to find out if something is amiss with her, "Are you alright?" Jocelyn asked.

Her first night wasn't a joke to her and the pain was quite bad so she do want Arissa to rest for now and not go about and back to those parents of hers.

"I'm fine," Arissa said with a slight blush on her cheek as the stranger's face flashed in her mind again, "I have to go. It's past 10 already and Mr. Adams is downstairs waiting," Arissa explained her reason to leave now.

Jocelyn gasped hearing the time now. Arissa is an hour late and who knows what her parents might do to her?

"I would take care of her," she said with understanding when she saw Arissa's eyes fixed on Adele Just be strong for her," Jocelyn said as she stood up, and without warning, she enveloped Arissa into a hug.

How is this going?
